Steve's barking; Registering for voting and not voting is like........

If you are registered  to vote or vote only every so often it's like having your ears pierced and not having a stud in the hole.
The best protest one can have is when a group doesn't want you to vote and you find a way to vote anyway.
When African Americans complain about unfairness and they are the majority and they don't vote, making them a minority in the voting community they have met the enemy and they are it.
When we complain about Gerrymandering and we don't vote in all elections, well as Pogo said in the comics, we have met the enemy and he is us.

Steve's Barking; Another taxing idea

I have another really stupid idea ( to some people anyway)why not have an international tax on all business of lets say 2% of all profits, dividing it up evenly to all the nations of the U.N.
It wouldn't end taxes that one country can place on it's corporations, but it would certainly help small counties and third world counties who have very little income.
In theory it would help the poor counties buying power. It would help rich countries get a small amount of the money that isn't taxed because the company ran to a tax haven.

How would you make countries comply to have companies in their countries  be taxed on an international scale. Easy if enough countries sign the pact, those who don't can't sell their products made in their countries to companies that do sign the pact for an internation tax.

I can see it now, me being called a commie B****d.  A traitor to my country. A total fool.what an *ss hole.

Steve's barking; His nomination means the death of the Republican Party

His nomination means the death of the Republican Party, so said the when Barry Goldwater became the nominee of the Republican Party in 1964.
Was it the end of the Repulican Party. Not hardly. So even if Donald Trump is the Republican Parties nomination and they go down in inglorious defeat Democrates shouldn't gloat but should strive even  harder, and not be the party of arrogance as they were after the 64 election.

Steve's barking; How we look at employment inflation is all wet

Fresh water American economist, and American salt water economist may misunderstand why there is no wage inflation in the US of A. First of all there is wage inflation in certain sectors of the economy, as it should be, as in supply and demand.
Again because of trade  counties are able to under cut manufacturing wages therefore there shouldn't be wage inflation in manufacturing.
What about the service sector that is creating all those jobs?
There should be wage inflation there, shouldn't it be Especially  if a country is at full employment.
Again if earnings aren't high enough jobs would be lost. Losing of jobs means supply
and demand kicks in, wages stagnate or possibly go down. Supply and demand economics.
Now let's assume that manufacturing jobs are brought back the United States, inflation ( not necessarily wage) would in all probability  ensue or profits would be reduced.

There is a good chance that in the near future there will be wage inflation brought by the government because of the minimum wage going up. My fear is panic by those who worry about wage inflation, destroying the economy.

My main purpose of writing this is indicate that one has to constantly look at what is happening and challenge one self if the economics of the past is the economics of the present and the future.

Steve's barking; A crude time machine has already been invented

Did you realize that a crude time machine that can take you back millions and maybe billions of years has already been invented. It's not called a time machine, but it's called a telescope.
Just think looking through one of these things you can possibly see the birth of a solar system that was born billions of years ago.
Scientists have seen the death of solar systems that happened billions of years ago.

We may not think of a telescope as a time machine but trust me it really is.
