 AI companies in a strange way should use AI to figure out how to stop it from going rogue.

 The other day I happen to read that the United States ways thinking about giving their biggest bomb 30 ton to Israel. Great idea if they are also giving the air craft to deliver it because as of now Israel doesn’t have the ability to use it.

 The other day, FBI director said in front of the Senate that the FBI had taken back a billion dollars from scammers of senior citizens, and that if I’m not mistaken, it was easy to trace the scammers.

 OK, director Patel, where’s the $50,000 that I was scammed out of?

 And why when I called the FBI did they say that it wasn’t their job?

 Why do I think you were committing perjury in front of Congress? Hmmmm.

 This stupid blogger doesn’t understand. The Hutus captured an island that prevents shipping in the Red Sea. During WWII, there was a thing called carpet bombing. You would think ( or at least I would) that carpet bombing of said island would open the shipping lanes up. Ah, but what do I know?

 Oh no, another hard-to-figure-out question.

 The real question is this: more detrimental, a professor making between $ 300 to $ 400 thousand dollars or a  person worth over several million dollars?

 The professor is in a school of higher education that, in some cases, charges over $100,000 a year for a student to attend. The billionaire, who, in almost all cases, is worth based on assets that are owned by him, is also owned by pensions and, in many cases, retirement portfolios, thereby helping society. Where, in this crazy blogger’s reasoning  the high salaries of professors can be detrimental.

Steve’s Barking; Winning lottery is a great deal for the state

 The state is the big winner when a person wins a decent amount from the lottery.

 First, it makes money on every ticket sold in the state.

 Second, it wins on the taxes that are paid on a decent amount of winnings.

 The state can’t be unhappy if someone from that state wins a huge amount unless it had no income tax; then it only gets money once.

Steve’s Barking: Is Ai the death or is it the new life of humans.???

 This seems like a dumb question: is AI the death of us humans or new life? 

 Of course, it’s the death of us humans if the rogue AI doesn’t kill us, as some who have worked in the industry indicate that there is a ten percent or greater possibility of that. The other thing that there seems to be a consensus on is that it will take away most of the jobs, depriving almost everyone of the ability to make money to survive. We will all die.

 Now, this old crazy blogger was thinking that AI’s major purpose is to figure things out that we mortals have a hard time or can’t.

 Can’t we program the AI data centers not to go rogue? 

 Can’t we program the AI data centers to come up with a way that all us humans can make a living?

 While we’re at it, maybe we can get the data centers to figure out climate control that we mortals can’t seem to do.

 Perhaps the AI data centers can figure out how to eradicate diseases.

  This crazy blogger says…….No! 

  Well, maybe. It depends (no, I don’t mean the ladies’ underwear).

  Me, being a strong believer in inflation being caused by too much money chasing too few goods.

  The problem with printing money is the great possibility that no one will want it because it is too…too easy to get.

  The problem sometimes of not printing money is that factories, buildings, and other things that are essential in life can’t be built. That in itself makes inflation. Too few goods!

  This crazy blogger has another stupid question…What may that be, you may ask.

  If borrowing money several times over (what the hell is this blogger writing about now) is that the same as printing money?

  Oh no Mister Bill AI is going to take away jobs. 

  No jobs means no money in the pocket of the people.

 No money in the pockets of the people, the people can’t buy stuff.

  If peoples can’t buy AI information how are those companies going to pay off their debt?

  This here crazy blogger thinks the chant “Free Palestine” is crazy… Palestine is a landmass . It cannot be cut away from the rest of Africa, so it cannot be freed.

 Now the people who call themselves Palestinians are a different story. 

 The people who call themselves Palestinians are slaves to the idea that intruders have taken over their land. All peoples can say the same. After all, I’m an American, and the grandfathers of my country took over land that was inhabited by others. That could be said by just about every country on this here earth.

 My preposition is that because of this obsession of taking control of the land that is now Israel, the people who call themselves Palestinians are losing out on being the best that they could be.

 The people who live in what is  referred to as the West Bank and Gaza are committing suicide because of their mindset of taking over the land that is now called Israel by force and intimidation. The Israelis, of course, will fight back by all means that they can. The Israelis have become so much stronger.

 It is my belief that those who call themselves Palestinians could become some of the world’s best doctors, engineers, scientists in the next generation instead of putting their energy into violence and putting it into education; they can achieve greatness. The people who call themselves Palestinians should throw away the slavery mindset of taking over land that they believe is theirs and turn their minds into education.

 The Palestinians should throw away their chains and try to be great people.

Steve’s Barking; Question :What part of Africa did black slaves come from?

 My Curiosity question of the day is what part of Africa did the Black slaves come from?

 Were they kidnapped from specific tribes? Were they kidnapped from all tribes? Did tribes kidnap their neighboring tribe members and sell them to the slave traders? Did the slave traders come to mid and Southern Africa and just steal the humans there?

Steve’s Barking; Crazy Idea for trade

 This not-so-well-mental blogger has a crazy idea that I’m pretty sure no country would agree to.

 First thing first, do away with all tariffs (for a year to see how things go). 

 The reason I’m stating this is that companies are international. Tariffs, I’m thinking, actually hurt these international companies.

 Another foolish idea on my part would be a 10% sales tax on all international trade that would be divided by all countries that agree to end tariffs. This tax would be divided by population.

 I do realize that this would be impossible to implement, for selfish reasons, by all countries.

 Oh no…….  What’s this crazy blogger writing about now? Isn’t America first the same thing as Americans first?

 Well, if America first means putting tariffs on goods that thereby cost Americans more, just some perceived notion that America is getting more goods than are selling to foreign countries, that’s not putting Americans first.

 Giving tax breaks on Social Security thereby weakening the trust fund, that’s not putting Americans first.

 Tearing down institutions is not Americans first.

 Debasing the currency by trying to put a living person on new currency is not Americans first.

 Attacking other countries without a plan to put boots on the ground to win the battles is not Americans first.

  Having no plan to help the farmers (it appears to this blogger) is not Americans first.

 Not taking care of American soldiers, airmen, and sailors so that their morale is at its peak is not Americans first.

 Having news outlets mouth proper gander and government lies like Pravda did for the old Soviet Union is not Americans first.

 Having a major leap scamming of the elderly and hacking of individuals’ computers to steal and then claim crime is going down is not Americans first.

 So if this blog isn’t true, I guess that America first is a real thing, though I doubt it because in my eyes, this blog is the whole truth.

 There was a big shocker in the Florida Democratic primary!

 I’m not talking about the Democratic Socialist Nixon beating  the Democratic favorite; that’s true, but to me the bigger shocker is that she won and did it with a minuscule war chest. That is extremely rare; the Democratic Socialist have generally have had a larger cash flow from contributions than the regular Democrat establishment. This seems to be a first.

 Why do they call the Democratic Socialists progressives when they seem regressive? !!!

 The Democratic Socialists backed a candidate who seems to not believe in the co- mingling of the races.

 The Democratic Socialists backed a candidate who has a swastika tattoo.

 The Democratic Socialists hide their earnings.

 The Democratic Socialists complain about immigration not having open borders, but complain that Israel should not exist. When Israel is an immigration state.

 I know more because I’m willing to look and I investigate what I don’t know. I challenge what I think I know. Do those who believe they know it all do that? 

 If you look on U Tube, you would never know that. 

 If you hear lectures on certain so-called historical events, do you take it for granted that the lecturer knows all the facts?

 I question a lot of the (so-called) facts that I was taught and even look high and low to find out.

 If I ran a business, in my crazy way of thinking, I would want my government to pay for universal healthcare. 

 Why, you may ask? 

 Easy…. Maybe my taxes would go up, but my business cost in all probability would be reduced.

 That’s crazy thinking. As a business owner, you presently don’t have to pay for healthcare.

 Ah, but I say to myself, if I don’t have health insurance for my employees, how am I going to retain them?

 Is it good for the employee? 

 Maybe…..It depends on how the government runs or misses running the program.

 Should the government subcontract the program to various private vendors? After all, competition usually makes for better programming.

 The question then isn’t whether the purpose of business is to make as much money as possible.

 Ah, but doesn’t competition force the price to go down and the service to be better?

 Answer ….Maybe, ….Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn’t.

 If you listen to the pundits on American television, America has a much better healthcare system than the European socialist healthcare systems, even though the socialist Europeans tend to live longer.

Steve’s Barking; An other take on government run grocery stores. Questions.

  I, living in NYC, see that my mayor sees a problem with groceries that in many cases the people of his city can’t afford. It appears to me that he decided that it would be a good idea to have city-run grocery stores. 

 There are problems with this. 

 (1) You collect no taxes from city-run anything.

 (2) It would appear that private-run stores would help subsidize their competition with city-run grocery stores.

 Will some of them close up shop (depriving the city of needed tax revenue)?

 (3) What union will the employees of these city-run grocery stores belong to? I’m sure that there would be competition and complaining among the unions.

 (4) How honest will the inspectors of food safety be? 

 Will they worry about their jobs and therefore not do an honest job?

  I probably left several things out.

 The true reason I’m writing this is because we do things without thinking things through, and hopefully, someone who happens to come across this blog will think of the adverse conditions that happen when you try correcting a conceived problem that may bring about other problems.

 It has come to the attention of this goofy blogger that we humans like to change where we live. 

 Why do I say such a  foolish thing.

 I look at immigration statistics.

 I look at neighborhoods and how they change, from one demographic to another.

 I look at conquering armies that colonize the place that they conquer. The colonizers moved from their place to a new land.

 I’ve been taught that we all came from Africa  I guess that means that the first humans were looking for a better place to live.

 These ads seem to suggest that their lemon recipe needs a secret ingredient from Japan that only they can supply.

 I’m tempted to press the button and find out, but I’ve been conned once too often, and there is a good chance that these ads aren’t on the up and up.

Steve’s Barking; Did the Democratic Socialist kill the Democratic Party for”me”

  I think of myself as a pretty loyal Democrat. 

 Yea, I know I have on occasion voted for a Republican candidate.

 But I have donated to the Democratic Party, and I used to be a card-carrying member of the Democratic Party.

 I even belong to the local Democratic Club.

 Well, the Democratic Socialist has endorsed a candidate who has insulted me and attacked me ( though not personally).

  This candidate has won the Democratic primary for New York’s 13th congressional district, beating the incumbent Democratic congressman while complaining about the money that outsiders are contributing towards him while outspending him. This Democratic Socialist clearly outspent him, getting most of her contributions from outside the district.

 Now getting back to how this Democratic Socialist has attacked me. She called all veterans war criminals, and I being a veteran indirectly called me a war criminal.

 Now how has this woman insulted me? She said that “black men” shouldn’t date “white women”. 

 Well, you might ask how this inference insults me. If you think about what she said, it’s the saying no commingling of the races, and I, a white man, married a black woman.

 Does one think that I should follow a party that doesn’t challenge its fringe that has attacked me and fellow Americans like me?

 When I was being scammed, I called up the FBI, and they said that that’s not their job.

 There are hundreds of thousands of senior citizens in America that are being scammed every day.

 If that’s not the interest of the FBI, whose job is it?

 It’s the FBI director’s job to make sure that all federal crimes are investigated.

 Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t seem to hear from people running for office. I’m great, and here’s my resume.

 Nah, what I’m hearing is vote for me; the other person is ( a communist, a fascist), or the economy will go down the tubes. There are too many foreigners in this country, and the other person will let morons in. Or the other person will throw your momma into the sea.

 Running for office in the U.S., one doesn’t seem to have to show their resume to their prospective employers, the voters, but just try to scare you by how bad the other candidate (s) is or are.

 This crazy blogger is making the preposterous claim that the Arabs made Israel a strong nation and in fact may have saved the nation of Israel.

 In the beginning, to my understanding, when Israel declared itself a nation, it was on the brink of civil war when the Arab nations decided to attack. The three paramilitaries, instead of fighting each other, joined forces.

 How the Arab nations helped Israel again: All the Arab nations threw just about all their Jews out. Even their most loyal, which was in my opinion the vast majority of them. The only place for the Jews to go was Israel. Guess what, more Jewish soldiers for Israel. More occupation of the land by Jews.

 As a several-generation American, I want to know why the United States wasn’t prepared for a long, protracted war. 

  I want to know how come my country isn’t prepared (or so it seems) for 21st-century warfare, with drones and cutting-edge laser weapons.

 It appears to me that my country isn’t prepared for war. 

 We have a Secretary of Defense who changed his department’s name to the War Department (it’s so much more manly than the Defense Department).

 Our Secretary of War is so concerned about the testosterone levels of our troops that he’s not worried about the level of preparedness of our weapons to go to war.

 This is why I call the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth the Secretary of Incompetence.

 I’m shocked that Israel is spying on my country. I would be really shocked if they weren’t.

 Does Israel try to influence the way America thinks about its policies toward Israel? Probably.

 But and this is a big but almost if not all countries do the same. That is a fact of life. 

 I’m sure that my country, the good old U.S. of A., spies on and tries to influence the thinking of other countries, including its strongest allies. If they didn’t, I would be disappointed. Intelligence is extremely important, even among friends. I would not like friends to turn on my country. 

 Do I think there may be abuses in intelligence and influence? I sure that there is.  Am I upset about the abuses? You bet I am, but that doesn’t mean I want my country to shut down intelligence and influence operations.

 There is a great chance the good old US of A will go to daylight saving year-round.

 Getting up in the winter months in pitch black, going to work, and the kiddies going to school in the pitch black. This is not very conducive to the want to go to school and work.   There seems to be much anti-Semitism going around. This is something that has been going around since Roman times and before. My understanding is the abuse of even the extermination of Jews.

 We tend to forget the abuse of blacks, including lynchings in the United States and even in Africa.

 We tend to forget how the Kurds are treated even today.

 What about the attempted genocide of the Armenians?

 The hatred of the Catholic Irish and holding them down.

 The hard times that many of Italian descent had in the United States.

 The Scots in Great Britain.

 The various non-ethnic Chinese in the Chinese empires that faced discrimination.

 What about the Japanese during World War II of other Asians?

  What about various Muslim sects looking down on other sects?

 My question again is: is hate and abuse part of human nature?

Steve’s Barking; Minimum wage , hurt or help ?

 Oh my goodness, the best and the brightest might say, of course, the minimum helps the poor. Everyone knows that the poor need more money to help buy groceries and housing. 

 Ah, but what if the rise of the minimum wage brings about the rise of prices because the employer needs to cover the new cost of doing business, or if the cost becomes too high, the employer goes out of business? In that case, raising the maximum wage isn’t a very good idea for that employee.

 In another scenario, what happens if those making the new minimum wage are already getting it? Wouldn’t the goods and services become higher because of supply and demand?

 In my unlearned opinion, we do need a minimum wage, but we must be very careful with it.

Steve’s Barking; Mid East, water- no where to be found (except Israel)

 One might ask oneself, “Hey, how come almost all the countries to my knowledge have an acute water shortage except Israel?”

 Well, Israel had a water shortage also, but they let their scientists have their way, and they learned to desalt the sea. 

 Of course, the Muslim countries in that region could do the same thing. If they don’t want to give Israelis anything, they could always steal the formula for desalination. Of course, the prejudices of the Muslims in that region prevent the betterment of their people.

Steve’s Barking; America is 250, How much longer?

  The United States is celebrating its 250th anniversary even though it wasn’t a country until 1787 (the Constitution of the U.S. was written). 

 One can make the argument that the U.S. wasn’t a country until April 30th, 1789 ( George Washington took the oath of office as president).

 Anyhow, getting back to what my question is, how much longer will the U.S. be a nation?

 Will it be a nation until the end of time (climate change killing us all.  Asteroids colliding with earth.. Total war killing us all)?

 Will there be a civil war like no other, splitting the country up? 

 Will other countries so distrust the U.S. that we would not be vibrant anymore?

  In the Democratic Primaries, it appears that we old dogs aren’t coming out to vote. We are the problematic voters who vote on foolish things, such as inflation and whether our Social Security will be reduced.  Now it appears to my insane brain that the youth  appear to be extremely idealistic, not very pragmatic, and vote on their ideals.

 I question whether the idealistic youth’s idealism nullifies the pragmatic voter in the general elections or whether the Republican attack on idealism wins.

 Are these young Democratic voters from middle and upper middle-income families and the poor not voters like us older Democratic voters?

 It seems to me the stupid blogger that there are more people running to no-tax states like Texas, and these states are running out of water.

 It seems to me this stupid blogger that people are running away from states that have more than enough water like New York but are taxing their people to death.

 Is our choice death by lack of money or the death of lack of drinkable water?

Steve’s barking; Will we all starve to death

 Crazy me following YouTube so-called doctors, talking about what not to eat. The problem is it depends on the doctor. Each of these men and women  claims that they and their colleagues are telling us non-medical personnel that pasta is bad for you. It shortens your lifespan, shortens your memory. You have to be careful of what kind of fruit you eat. This one contains too much sugar, that one messes with your kidneys or your heart. Red meat shortens your lifespan.(Some people say it lengthens your lifespan. Go figure.) Several doctors(?) on the internet say don’t eat bread.(Some say white, some say whole wheat, others say rye, while others say don’t eat bread at all.)

 Ah, but it’s safe to eat fish as long as it isn’t farmed-raised, because who knows what the farmers feed their fish? Oh, you shouldn’t eat shellfish because they live in the bottom of the sea, where all the garbage goes. So it must be safe to eat fish with scales that swim freely, except they eat plastic that is thrown into the sea and that will poison your brain.

 Well, it seems that at least we can eat vegetables. Oh, wait a minute, don’t farmers put pesticides on them? Surely that will poison you. What about those who claim they don’t put pesticides on their vegetables? Can  you really trust big industrial farms? And who in the world can afford vegetables from local farmers who don’t use pesticides?

 Ah it’s election time again in the United States. It means that a fantastic amount of money is being spent on the elections. It means that outside influences are giving as much as the laws allow and then some. Some outside influences don’t give money directly to candidates. Outside influencers buy adds directly .Mostly against a candidate in a fear tactic.

 Now in my judgment when one sees so many adds and direct mailing one gets numb by them and a lot of times it actually has a negative effect. Either by non voting or turn off on the candidate that has inundated the the potential voters.

 Some elections you see million and millions of dollars being spent on several candidates, as if that will get the voters to the polls..

 One has to wonder why so few potential voters stay away from voting when so much money is spent.

 Another thing that bewilders me is when one candidate complains about how much money their opponent has and at the end of the day they spend a third more then their opponent.

 I’ve also noticed that some candidates spend two or three times their opponent and don’t get very many votes. What’s with that?

 Oh damn… What does this crazy blogger mean does the United States demand instant gratification with Iran?

 I’ll try to explain, though it will be hard to understand…..

 The United States along with most of the world is hurting economically because of the easy way the Iranians are making it very difficult for oil tankers to go through the Strait of Hormuz. The price of oil and its products are extremely expensive. Now it may be said that this is bringing hardship on the peoples of the world, especially US citizens. Ah, this is good for those who hold power, especially in the United States.

 So it seems that those in power are kind of panicking and to this goofy blogger they are giving 300 billion dollars and stopping any hostile action against Iran. The United States President is telling its partner in this adventure that it must not protect its citizens by attacking the hostile forces that are in Lebanon because the Iranians will not cease hostilities in the Strait of Hormuz, thus keeping the flow of oil coming to the rest of the world. 

 If what this crazy man has read, the oil producers of that region are building pipelines from their oil fields to other ports thus leaving Iran unable to hurt the supply of oil to the world in about six months. The United States doesn’t seem to have the patience thus surrounding in the battle of Iran and the United States.

 The price that the owners of the stock before the IPO make a killing if (and it does) the price rises extremely high. My idea is just like the game show: the price is right (if you win something like a car), you are charged the full retail of the commodity in taxes (a car loses value as soon as you take it home). Well, the United States needs to help pay off its debt, so why not help pay off the debt by having the so-called gains of the person making the money the first day and possibly months later on the gains, so the rich slob should be treated like the poor slob, and we the people can help pay off our national debt.

 In the United States, we are having extremely high inflation. At the same time, the holding of gold is going down. Now, how do I know that gold is going down?  This blogger, not being the smartest guy in the world, doesn’t understand where all the money is coming from to build these AI data centers. I keep reading that Alphabet, Meta, SpaceX, and several new companies are going to need billions and billions of dollars, equaling trillions of trillions of dollars. Now I know that assets and debt equal over 45 trillion dollars, maybe more, but what I don’t understand is how can you turn assets and debt into liquid assets? Are the banks suddenly printing money, or have they been hoarding the billions? Are those with retirement money suddenly going to have money to go crazy and help finance these billions of dollars the AI data centers need?

 Speaking of money, who has that kind of money to invest in SpaceX IPO that values it over a trillion dollars? 

 I’m just not smart enough to figure it out.

  It has come to my attention that those who run and our in office are upper middle class. 

 It seems to me that they or the spouses make or have assets that put them in the upper middle class.

 The mayor of New York has land in Uganda that’s worth from reports upwards of a quarter of a million dollars.

 The  Democratic Socialist representative from Minnesota reported, then said no to at least a million dollar income.

 My ex representative from the Bronx and Queens hasn’t married her finance, so no one knows what she’s really worth.

 In my foolish mind I could care less. If they want to be the torch bearers for the lower income Americans so be it.

 My problem with the hiding of wealth by Democratic Socialists is the trust worthiness of these politicians. Hiding their income and or assets.

Steve’s Barking; The U.S should tax the rich more.

 I’ve been reading that the United States deficit has become runaway. This being true the logical thing to do is raise taxes or cut spending. We’re are we going to cut spending? Weaken the defense? Health care to make the country sicker. Housing subsidies to make the U.S. look like a third world country with millions more living on the streets. Cut government workforce? We doing that and from this crazy blogger’s point a view it has made a not to efficient government, even less efficient.

 The next thing to bring about a reduced deficit is to raise money. Now I ask myself how do you raise money if you’re the government? Well I guess you have to do the unthinkable to raise taxes.  

 Should you raise taxes across the board? Well the poor have no money, and if you raise taxes among the middle class there’s a good chance that they would become poor. 

 In my crazy mind the United States government should raise taxes on those who presumably could afford it the most, the rich, who while they may not be to enthusiastic about that, they would be doing the patriotic thing and and pay more in taxes. It may even be away to help preserve their riches (wtf).

  This ignorant blogger has no idea if this is true, but there are reports in the press that the United States is running low on munitions because of the Iranian war. 

 Now as far as I can tell, this was an extremely short, intensive bombing, and even if there is more intensive use of munitions, it should not be a major depletion of munitions that the press lays claims to. If it is, then the United States military is seriously unprepared for combat.

 What is this crazy blogger? Of course, the price of gas going down is great. Just think if the fall in the price of gas means that the people have more money to spend on goods, services, and investing.  Not only that, the price of goods should come down, and profits should go up because the price of gas would decrease the cost of delivering goods.

 Ah, but what if the price of gas collapses because there is no demand for gas because there is a deep recession and no one has the ability and the need to buy gas?

 One can make the case that the recession is caused by the high price of gas and that if gas becomes cheaper, therefore, the recession would be short-lived. 

 This foolish blogger is not positive that this would happen. Fear and possibly recent economic shock may have the unwillingness to spend. Business may even be afraid of higher back payments for those who were laid off.

 Crazy blogger keeps reading that the U.S. interest on the national debt is more then the US takes in from revenue. Well I have a suggestion which the conservative old farts would be shocked. Slightly raise taxes on Medicare and on Social Security along with ending the cap Social Security. 

 Why would should this be done. It would strengthen both where you wouldn’t have to pay creating a bank of the United States were it strictly could borrow and not have to pay until a long time into the future. It would also protect the future payouts of those two government programs. 

 On paper you have debt, but in real life you are not paying it as you are now.

If the U.S. was serious about paying off it debt and still have a vibrant country it would increase slightly the capital gains tax.

 Elon Musk is a genius at what he does. There I said it, even though I’m not sure he truly understands the science of his companies. He’s genius is controlling companies and selling the idea of these companies to the general public. In my mind there’s no one better.

 One’s net worth is based on worth of assets minus debt. Now as I understand it the general public has a pretty good idea of Elon’s gross worth but we the unwashed have no idea what his debt is. 

 That being said I (we) have no real idea of what Mr. Musk’s net worth really is.

 My way of thinking is that we or our ancestors came from a different land. And after a while, the world grew into clusters ( tribes, then super tribes known as countries). Other tribes came along and took the land and the resources. Sometimes we even took over people and we made them slaves. 

 This can be considered colonialism even if you came from just over the hill.

 Oh, being a colonist is a terrible thing, so we and our ancestors are terrible.

 I, this crazy blogger keeps hearing of more and more graduates of high school questioning the rationale of going to college. Thir claims that the jobs that they are going to get are on par with many new jobs that you don’t need a college degree.i

 There is also the debt of going to a private and in some cases public college. That the debt keeping the student poor for years to come after they have gotten their degree.

 There is also the fear that artificial intelligence computers will make many of the jobs now done by college graduates obsolete.

 If there is a ground swell of this thinking does one think that few and few students going to college. If fewer students wanting to go to college hurting the enrollment, perhaps many of the colleges and universities will have to close down, hurting the education industry so bad that one might say that the education industry might be on its death bed.

 Well child’s parents worries are less, hopefully more productive work force. Less absentee workers. In some cases the extra taxes is cheaper then the extra cost of giving employees extra pay to cover the cost.

 Is it good governance to have the tax payer pick up the cost of childcare after all taxes will have to be raised to cover the cost?

  Child caregivers are wage earners being taxed plus the fact that they will be consumers adding to the wealth of the community businesses.  Will this cover the cost of the free childcare. Perhaps not, perhaps yes, but this blogger still think it’s good business for the government.

 If you wait to take Social Security, you will be losing money. Within 4 to 5 years Social Security administration will only be paying at best 79% of what It’s supposed to pay. This Social Security trust fund is running out of money. There’s nothing in the immediate future that says the Social Security trust fund will be fully funded. There are all kinds of ideas on how to fund it but 99%of the ideas are wacko. The only way to really fund the iSocial Security trust fund is to end the cap on the Social Security tax and in this blogger’s honest opinion the only true way to fund the trust fund will be ignored. 

Steve’s Barking; The real reason for Zionism ( The death of over 65,000 Palestinians)

 The justification of the State of Israel to many is that the Jews are returning to their homeland. Now that is not the real reason for the State of Israel. The real reason is for most of Israelis is Prosecution and the face of  being murdered  by anti semites. The fact of the matter Theodore Hertzel first suggested that Jews who were being persecuted should move to Africa. That there would be a safe haven in what is now Uganda . This for some reason didn’t prove practical.( I in my infinite wisdom do not know why). Now my knowledge ( though may not be exact) the Ottoman census and letters from travelers in Palestine ( I-call the land Palestine because that is what I believe it was called in 1900.) the land was scarcely populated.

 In the beginning of the movement there was only a trickle of Jews going to Palestine ,and the Jews would much rather move to places such as the United States. 

 Then came the Great Depression and places such as the United States decreased the immigration and at that time was the rise of Nazi Germany and major antisemitism around the globe.  Many Jews saw Israel as a safe haven.Of cause the British who had a mandate to control Palestine limited immigration causing many a Jew to lose their lives. ( Perhaps the British didn’t want to anger the Arab population who had a vast majority of Palestine .)

 After WWII Immigration to the rest of the world was limited so Jews  left for Palestine many of which were smuggled in.

 By 1948 Jewish Palestine had a large population and the United Nations decided to recognize Jewish Palestine now called Israel.

 Now in my learned opinion the Arabs States persecuted and threw out almost all and in some cases all their Jewish populations. Now where were they supposed to go? Israel was the their only hope, so 800 thousand Jewish Arabs immigrated to Israel. ( Perhaps if the Arab nation didn’t act in an anti Jewish matter Israel would be a much weaker nation).

 Now there is a push for ( the lack of a better term) a religious fever bringing Jews to Israel.

 To sum up the first part of the blog Israel was created not so much as a Jewish State but as  a refugee State for Jews such as Liberia was set up as an African State for free slaves of America.

 The second part of this blog, what about the 35 to 65 thousands of Palestinians who died in Gaza this past year and a half. Who’s really to blame.

  Why do I say that the presidential candidate will be Tucker Carlson because Tucker Carlson is a celebrity host. Of the last four republican presidential candidates two of them were celebrity hosts.  What I’m going to say may surprise many but judging from the last four Democrats who won the Oval Office, three were relatively unknown before before winning the nomination and becoming President. Carter, Clinton , and Obama.

 Judging by past performance tge best thing the Democrats can do is nominate a relatively unkown.

 

Steve’s Barking; I was wrong about free trade, and bringing down tensions

 Oh this blogger is such a fool. I believed in all my heart that having free trade and having countries depend on each other would lesson tension and prove that we of the world community depends on each other, to keep prices down and to keep employment high, therefore the tensions between countries would be lessened. Ah but my country  the good old US of A and its leadership has proven me wrong. 

 It appears to me and maybe I’m wrong but the selfishness of leadership to prove superiority is more important to the leadership then a stabled world order were everyone benefits.

Steve’s Barking; Reason crime rate fell in the U.S. ?

 According to statistics the crime rate in The US of A fell last year.

 There are some who will tell you this is because of America’s crackdown on illegal immigrants.

 Others will tell you that it’s because of the stricter enforcement of the gun laws.

 My theory is that statistics lie.

Steve’s Barking; Qustion of othe day, does the west worship G-d or religion?

 

 I look at Islam and see self righteous sects who claim that they are the true Worshipers of G-d. They attack each other because they can’t attack harder other religions that believe in G-d. I look at those who are Sunni,Shite, and even Al-Qaeda, and Isis. They attack and demean each other.

 I look at this and then I look at Christianity. Are Christians who belong to other denominations at one time Or another attacked verbally and physically one another.

 I look at Jewish denominations and if it wasn’t for antisemitism, they might be attacking each other too. I know at one time and the Jewish tribes they split up and 10 tribes went one way and two tribes went to another. Could this be because of religious differences?

 Why question is if they believe that G-d is almighty, why do they question the way one Worships the almighty, for the almighty will strengthen it all out.

 It’s almost in my mind that those who suggest that their way is the right way and the only way are anti

G—d.

Steve’s Barking; AI should help solve the fiscal problem of the U.S.

 The good old US of A I keep hearing is having a fiscal crises. Its debt is according to some is unmanageable. Now some of these know it all says we can’t raise taxes, because if we raise taxes the rich will say goodbye and find a tax haven in some other country. 

 Now there are some who believe that we should cut services. There are some who even believe that we have a bloated work force that needs to be cut.

 There are some out there who claim that the the government doesn’t do enough for the citizens of the United States, so perhaps we should cut the money going to the military and incarceration.

 What to do, what to do.

 Well this intrepid blogger says that we should use Artificial Intelligence to fix this dilemma. Why would I write this. Well we are being told that artificial intelligence is way smarter then non artificial intelligence, and if that’s is true then it would be prudent for the manufacturers of AI to prove it by having a contest to fix the deficit of America and prove that AI is truly brilliant.

Steve’s Barking; Our ( great);grandparents economy coming soon

 My generation’s grandparents were in most cases poor. If you are much younger than me, that would be your great-grandparents. They squeaked by. Now this blogger seems to think that we’re headed in the direction of our grandparents, just getting by. Inflation is eating many of the salaries, also the savings of many of our retirees.

 If you look at the dollar amount that the salaries of the workers and you compare them with the salary of the 30s and 40s, you may shake your head. After all, today’s monetary salaries are huge compared to the old days, but if you compare it to the price of necessities, the United States may be headed in a worse place than yesteryear.

Steve’s Barking; The weird price of oil 3/6/2026

  The price of oil keeps going up WTI over $90, a barrel, same is true for Brent. Now you might ask yourself why is that weird, after all there is a military action going on near  oil producing states in the Middle East. Well the problem is the world probably has too much oil being produced but a hardship of shipping much of it. Now if I remember my economics the price of crude should be going down because their is not much need to produce oil if much of it can’t be shipped or the cost of shipping is too high. 

 Yea the cost of gasoline should be going up, same is true of electricity that is run on oil for the product can’t be refined significantly, that basic economics, but the price of the raw material shouldn’t be going through the roof, as we who studied capitalistic economics should understand.

Steve’s Barking; Iran disaster now, future ( 🤔maybe) better for the region and the world

 

 There is no doubt in my mind that American, Israel military action in Iran is a disaster for the American people and the citizens of the Middle East. In the Middle East death destruction and it’s hard to do business. In the U.S. inflation and ( possibly) disruption in business and jobs.

 There was all indications that the present Iran government was a disruptive influence and war like ( even calling for a war against Israel and eventually against what it called infidel countries such as America) and a backer of terrorist.

Now if one thinks about it, those countries that are openly fighting Iran now was fighting Iran for years, only now it’s much more open and in the United States not quite legal would be battling Iran for years to come and perhaps ( very possible) Iran would become stronger militarily and America would be harder to go to war ( war act) and Israel not getting much stronger militarily.

 Now it’s possible that because of the military action that’s going on right now possibly bring a much more peaceful Middle East.

  Many a citizen of Iran was killed by military action, but it’s my understanding that the current government is killing its citizens at a greater amount then what this foreign military action against Iran is doing. Perhaps (?) this military action is good for the majority of the Iranian people is great for the citizens  of Iran.

Steve’s Barking ; Why are the Democratic Socialists picking on me?

Tax the rich, that is what Bernard Sanders said the other day. My understanding is that there are many a person in the United States who feel the same way. 

 Now I’m saying that really an attack on me, some one who’s net worth is less then $100,000 dollars. Some one who’s net worth half of that $100,000. 

 Some one who’s income is less then $100,000. So no I would not be taxed. Well if I would not be taxed how in the world am I proclaiming that the Democratic Socialist are picking on me?

 Wellll I’m a retire with two pension and Social Security, Social Security will in all probability will be solvent but will pay me less then 80% that it pays me now. I:’m not saying that the Dem Socialist are attacking it, but I am saying that by insisting that the super rich are not very liquid but they have their wealth in assets, that they would in all probability sell some lessening the value of said assets. Now my pensions are put into these assets. The value of these assets would go down, thus the value of my pension would decrease. If this would to happen one can only hope and pray that the pensions, mine and others aren’t insolvent.

 Oh the irony of it all, Israel is attacking Iran on Purim, the holiday that celebrates the stoping of the massacre of Jews in Persia now called Iran.

Steve’s barking; There’s a religious war going on in the middle East

 

There’s a religious war going on in the Middle East. No it’s not Jew against Muslim though that’s what a lot of ( no a huge majority might tell you). Actually it’s has mostly been who’s the better Muslim the shite or the Sunni ( don’t forget that several decades ago Iranians (shite) tried to take over Arabia ( more specifically Mecca) . Don’t forget al-Qaeda, and  Isis. Now one of all these group’s tenants is there will be no Muslim state in the Middle East or even perhaps the whole world and their form of Islam is the one to bring this about. They by all means will bring this about. 

 Now this blogger may not be totally understood after all Iran was attacked by the United States and Israel ( a non religious Jewish state) but in this bloggers mind these two countries had the tased agreement or even the push to war from the other Muslim and perhaps the non stricter Muslim states in the area, especially now with all the revolutionary fervor that was happening in Iran that seemed to be losing steam.

Make Iran a non Arab state weaker as to be less of  threat.

 There are too many critics of FBI director Patel being in the locker room of American hockey after the gold medal win over Canada. This blogger says so what. Is it kind of jealousy? Is it what ever a person from this administration does is wrong? Would ninety percent of those critics do the same thing if they had the chance? The team let him in the locker room as far as I can tell. To this blogger there is nothing wrong with that.

Steve’s Barking; How do I know …inflation and recession

 How do I know if this is inflation. I know if there’s inflation I’m going to the grocery store and if the prices have gone up, I kind of suspect that this inflation. If I want to buy a car that three years ago cost $30,000 and the new model this year cost $50,000. I kind of know that there’s an inflation.

How do I know if there’s a recession. I know there’s a recession if several of my neighbors have been laid off. I know there’s a recession if some of my neighbors children who just got out of high school and college are having a hard time finding jobs.

I don’t count on government statistics because a lot of of them are screwed to what the politicians and the bureaucrats want.

Steve’s Barking; 3 Weeks military training?

  

I keep reading that the soldiers in the Russian Army have only 3 weeks of military training. If that is true a reasonable person can understand why Russia is doing so badly in their war with Ukraine. Take it from a soldier in the sixties 8 weeks basic training and 8 to 10 weeks individual training. Can do me reasonably compare Russian soldiers to American soldiers.

Steve’s Barking; Mom said, put your money in the bank

 

Mom said, put your money in the bank and don’t invest it because you might lose it and the bank gives you interest and is insured.

 Mom came through the depression and that was the thinking of many a person who lived through the depression.

 One of my uncles on the other hand said invest, it gives you better returns. Look at the balance sheet, it should tell you if it’s going to go out of business. Also most of the stocks I ( meaning himself) invest in pay dividends that are greater then the interest you will get from the savings account from the bank.

 Being a good son I took and are to the present day  is taking my mom’s advice, because of this I’m sure I missed out on many a great opportunity ( in the present day) too make oodles and oodles of money..

 I may also have lost out to loose my shirt if the other investors decided to pull out.

I recently sent a blog that had zero on it. This only goes to prove that this blogger is just like the recent  presidents of the United States I’m senile.

 The real reason this blog had nothing on it was I was trying to take a  picture of a children’s book that with the help of my family I wrote, If We had no letters.

 I am truly sorry to the two people who saw this nothing blog. Yes I better be careful that I don’t publish nothing ever again, even though some one who reads my blog maybe believe everything I write is about nothing.
