There's trouble in America's economic paradise, for in two years from now my country has to start paying off its Social Security bonds!
What to do?
There could be a major default and not pay Social Security recipients there full Social Security! Did anybody say old people rioting in the streets.
We could raise taxes, that's not going to happen.
We could borrow the money by paying higher interest rates then are currently being paid to the Social Security trust fund.
The Federal Reserve can buy up these bonds, of cause there will be sudo economist, and a broad section of congress will have a hissy fit.
We can even do the kiss ( keep it simple stupid) thing and do away with the cap on Social Security FICA so that money keeps coming in and we don't have to pay the money that the government owes to the Social Security trust fund.

Steve's Barking; Is the world just fed up
Election time! It appears that all over the world the citizens are electing not the norm.
Is the world that miserable that we are raising our middle finger at the norm.
We no longer like the safety of the normal.
Britain leaving the European Union, the US elects a realty star( I don't know why we are surprised we already elected an actor to play the part of the president) and France will elect either a woman who disowned her father or a man who was a total unknown until recently.
If this is happened happening in the west, look out Russia, look out Israel, the people of this planet are board of the same old stuff, let's try something new.

Steve's Barking; New York just lost the war on drugs
Just saw a headline in my Facebook account that Governor Andrew Cuomo was putting up $200 million dollars of New York States money to fight the extensive opioid abuse. Now I know this is a losing battle because everything Captain Andy touches turns to sh*t.
Speaking of crazy stuff my favorite (I'm serious) state legislator is trying to pass legislation to ban football for children under the age of 14 at the same time he's gotten money to build a football field for the local football juniors under the age of 14.
I've known this legislator for some for time, he's extremely smart and excellent at delivering for his constituents. It only goes to show even the best of us can suggest contrary things.

Steve's barking; White House, too many bosses, not enough workers
It appears to this outsider that the DucksWhite House has too many generalist and not enough nuts and bolts type. You know the dudes and dudetts who can take a general idea and turn it into a program.
The White House will never come me up with a healthcare policy. Tax reform, we may all pass out by holding our breath for something to come out of the White House.
Foreign policy, seemy to change every day.

Steve's Barking; A I The end of economics as we know it
If those who claim that artificial intelligence will take over all the mundane task, the claims should be the end of economics as we know it is over.
We will not need workers to drive trucks, cabs, or buses. How many millions of humans will not have a pay check. Nor if you believe that machines will cook, serve and take our money, oh my, those jobs will be done without some one collecting a pay check.
If you believe the futurologists machines will build themselves. Oh I almost forgot we will no longer need any human to do farm work. Another industry that will no longer need us.
Doctors will no longer be needed for diagnosis, another human job taken away by machine. Some futurologist even suggests nurses will be come obsolete.
What about programmers, why it's been suggested that machines will program themselves. Another job people don't get paid.
So all that's said and done, no gets paid, no human has a job, and we cease to exist, for without work and a pay check we become the most useless of species.
Am I worried? Well everything that I've ever touched that has some sort of electronic component has broken down. Has a short, has some glitches, so if go by me, complete Artificial Intelligence will not come to me.

Steve's Barking; Foreign trade (export, imports)
Foreign trade is not as imbalanced as some would have you believe!
We export things like tourism, foreigners coming to the states and we export our companies when foreigners buy stocks and bonds.
We export American treasury notes, we also import foreign treasury notes.
We import military bases (?) ( We spend money on those bases in foreign countries)!
If we only look at manufactured goods, yep the United States has a humongous trade deficit, if you look at the whole picture it might not seem so bad.
* Hopefully interwoven economies lessen the chance of war, but that would have to belong to another Blog.
** Do those who talk of trade deficits really know what their talking about?
