Steve’s Barking; Putin’s 80% approval rating?

According to press reports Putin has an 80% approval rating?
Putin has an iron clad fist on news  reporting in Russia.
Putin has claimed down on opposition (just as Middle Eastern dictators did such as Saddum Husain).
When you have denied opposition and you run the news  apparatus to believe that he had an 80% approval rating is hard to believe.
Now don’t get me wrong I have nothing again the Russian  premier. He seems to have done a pretty good job for his people, including restoring pride and a better life for most Russians then when he took office, but given the fact that he controls information and doesn’t want anyone running against him(?) 80% approval rating is hard to believe.

Steve’s Barking; Being obese is good for

Being obese good for you if you believe the stats.
We in the Western World has never been fatter.
We in the Western World have never lived longer.
Therefore be obese is good for you.

If you go on that one statistic the  correlation between be fat and living longer is that it’s good to be heavy. That of cause doesn’t take into account all the break throughs in science and cleanliness.
There might not be any correlation between being fat and longevity.
There might not be any correlation between lower taxes and an expanding economy.
There might not be a correlation between the exodus of people leaving hi tax states to lower tax states.

Fun fact the President of the United States has the worst eating habits. He will probably live for ever.
He’s probably the fattest president since Taft.
All hail fast food and soda.

Steve’s Barking; Bringing back corporate profits

The selling point of lowering the corporate tax in the U.S. is that corporations will bring back money (profits) from overseas
.Of cause they will after all the U.S cut its’ corperate rate by a third. American Corperation are going to post their foreign  subsidies profits away from places like Ireland, Lichtenstein, and Paraguay that have corporate tax rate that are almost half of what the U,S. marginal tax rate  will be because we reduced our marginal by almost a third.
Of cause American corporations are going to come home from places like Bermuda, and the Bahamas that have no have no general corporate income tax because we reduced our corporate income tax to 21%.

Of cause those companies that pay less then 20% presidently are going to go on an investment binge because they will now have to 20%.

Of cause the leadership of American corporations might be stupider then dirt. One never knows do one how crazy people are.

Steve’s Barking; It takes at least 2 to negotiate

Negotiations between the United States and a North Korea appears to have broken.
Well you can’t negotiate if one side doesn’t want too.
It appears that one side wants to prove that it will stand tall against the big bad a United States.
It appears that that’s their game plan.
Every thing they do is mostly for domestic consumption.
How can the leadership win in the eyes of their people if they appear to be sitting down with the big bad United States.
True diplomacy doesn’t appear any time soon.

Steve’s Barking; Belonging to the Bubble Wrap Party

I’m a registered Democrat, that makes me a member of the Bubble Wrap Party.
If you live a normal life and you do something that slightly wrong, such as accidental touching a butt you become  ostracized.
If  you have different beliefs the bubble wrappers try to  stifle you by putting your words in bubble wrap.

Bubble wrap is the stuff you pack  fragile stuff as not to let it move.

I’m  embarrassed by the Democratic Party the  handling of Al Franken affair. This Party is not the party of fair play.

Steve’s Barking; The Proof of the pudding

A major tax cut for some will or will not grow the economy.
Will there be a major  exodus from New York and other high tax states?
Will the economy contract because of major borrowing to run the government?
Will the majority be hit with a major tax decrease? Or will it be so minor that the middle income people will hardly notice it?
Will the next couple of years bring about  horrible stagflation?
Only time will tell if a tax cut will hurt but or help the economy.
The proof of the pudding s in the tasting.
