Steve’s Barking; Taint my grand father’s economy.

 I just don’t understand it…Why oh why does the Fed or better known as the Federal Reserve think that they can control inflation? This is the first time in “modern history” that the population is aging, and those of us aged people ( a lot of us) have money coming in that cover our expenses and a good portion of us have a little discretionary income. Now because there aren’t as many people to do the jobs that need to be done because of the low birth rate of the U.S and many other countries we can’t look at the old formulas of inflation and productivity. Noooo we can’t look at the past to judge gross domestic product(?) and we definitely can’t look at the past to see how to fight inflation….

 I’ve been listening to so called conservative pundits who claim that black poverty and restlessness is due to the fact that there is no father in too many black homes and this wasn’t the case prior to Lyndon Johnson’s war on poverty. Well at the same time I do believe that the easing of divorce in America. Maybe that’s the case that there aren’t as many black fathers in black house holds. Maybe there’s a myth about there were few single mothers prior to the 60s. After all there are songs and stories about fathers who disappeared way before the 60s.

Steve’s Barking; We ( counties ) are all thieves

 Going through my history books I made this astounding discovery, all lands were taken over by persons who weren’t indigenous to that land. They either made new counties or incorporated the lands into existing counties. This hold true for Russia , China Egypt,, the UK, the United States, and even the African tribes who were big enough so as I like to call them mini nations. 

 This is why I’m bewildered with Russian claims on Ukraine and those who squawk about Israel taking over land that didn’t belong to them if they don’t live in that area.

Steve’s Barking; What I don’t understand about UAW strike

 I understand that in America workers have the right to strike.

 I understand that there shouldn’t be be a tier system of pay.

 I understand that it’s the unions duty to fight for workers to get a living wage, for the worker to live comfortably.

 I understand it’s a union place to have a safe and comfortable workplace.

 I understand that American union autoworkers don’t make he same as their German counterparts.

*** Now comes the tricky part…..

 What I don’t understand….

 The union wants a 45 percent pay raise and a four day workweek. The union workers are hourly employees, so if what I read is true, that’s only a 24% pay raise (if my math is correct). (There’s a possibility the union wants compensation of a non hourly worker).

 The big three automakers appears to me, will have a tough time competing against non union Tesla in making EVS. They will also have a touch time competing against with cost with foreign auto makers who set up nonunion assembly plants in the United States. How will the big three compete on price against these none union American assembly plants?

  Nooo not weather my football team will cover this weekend! Under or over government regulations, what is the best amount of government regulations! Right now in my irrational opinion we in the western world are way over regulated. We have so many regulations too many of the important ones are overlooked and the not important and inane ones are over enforced. 

 What I’m saying to put it mildly we need regulations for health and safety. We need some regulations so that we can have competition as to grow innovation. Too much regulations tend to have the opposite effect. What I’m getting at is look before you regulate, or what you the intended result from the regulation might just have the opposite effect.

Steve’s Barking; ADP and Labor statistics almost the same

 Oh my goodness ADP says 177,000 new jobs created in August Labor says 187,000 jobs created in Augus. That’s pretty much the same.

 Oh damn, here we go again. There is a new threat of the United States turning into Argentina and defaulting. Ok let’s compromise again, Democrats promise no new spending ( except in an emergency) till after the next presidential election and the Republicans vote to increase the budget till after the presidential election. Both side agree no bs ing legislation that involves financing. This should be with the majority of Republicans and Democrats in congress agreeing leaving the fringes of both party to vote against it so they can play up to their backers!

Steve’s Barking; Movie Theaters need Taylor Swift to survive!

 Because of the actors and writers strike in Hollywood, there will be a dearth of movies later this year and early next year. In order to survive, it seems to me that movie theaters will have to provide some sort of different entertainment. Movie theater companies need concerts to replace the money that they will not be getting from movies. Possibly movie theaters can even show sporting events for those who can’t afford to have multiple streaming subscriptions. Now the motion picture industry should encourage movie theaters in this endeavor, because they will need in the future, a place to show there product and if there is very little product movie theaters will not survive. So in foresight movie companies should be exceedingly happy with movie theaters showing concerts like Taylor Swift. They should encourage the concerts.
