Steve’s Barking; Good sign for the economy, the currency is high!

Are we crazy?
We Americans are complaining that our currency is going up compared to the rest of the worlds currencies. Our currency is going up because the rest of the world is experiencing an economic slow down. With negative interest rates on bonds, and slow downs in economic growth throughout the world, one would have to expect Europeans would be investing in the United States. In order to do this one would have to change their currency to dollars. Doing currency exchange the dollar would go
up. This is a great sign for a country to have  a strong currency.
The Chinese government is not doing anything more then Europe are doing to weaken it’s currency, so we should stop calling the Chinese currency manipulator. We don’t call Russia, the EU, or Argentina currency manipulators.
When it comes to currency being higher, energy is cheaper, raw materials are cheaper,  making building factories cheaper for those raw materials.
The United States with a 3.7%  (really less then 0%) wtf are demanding more jobs by devaluation of our currency. If the President had any brains he would take credit for a strong currency. He could easily say that America is great again under his watch.

The world is going ape sh*t.
Protest in Hong Kong.
Protest in Moscow.
Negative interest rates on borrowing to finance world governments(WTF).
The President of the US has a negative IQ.
The end of days must be  approaching.

Steve’s Barking;Agnostic politically

I’m an agnostic in my political views.
Meaning I don’t believe in there’s such a thing as conservative, librarian, liberal, or progressive.
I going to give a little test of President’s administrations in my time.
Which President’s administration did this.
(1) Segregated the civil service and bombed African Americans in Norman Oklahoma?
(2) integrated the Arm forces and the civil service?
(3)  wanted a negative income tax and  initiated  affirmative action?
(4) ended ADC as we knew it, and made the criminal justice system into a mess?

My being taught that conservatives in the beginning of this country wanted higher taxes and a strong centralized government.
I was taught that conservatives prior to WW2 didn’t believe in a large military.
Conservatives used to be large believers in law and order, so what happened.
Conservatives in my youth believed in personal responsibility, so why are they whining about everything.
 Liberals on the other hand (too make it  brief ) want to help the down trodden until it effects them, then they act like conservatives.

At one time I called myself a progressive, after all I collect Social Security, worked in government.
collect Medicare, my apartment was subsidized by the government and I went to college on the GI bill.  What changed me?  Understanding that you can have progressive ideas and not be a true progressive because there’s no such thing.

Steve’s Barking; All the Justices of the Supreme Court should resign

All the Justices of the Supreme Court should resign.
The Supreme Court on this day 6/24/2019 rejected challenges of the administration in steel tariffs.
Now as I read the constitution article 1 section 8 The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect
Duties and Impost.
Now nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the President has that right to  levi taxes .
According to Marian Webster dictionary tariffs are a form of taxes.
Now I know that Congress in the 60s gave the right to  levy tariffs on imports for national security concerns. It was wrong then to abdicate it’s job and it’s wrong now.
Now even if you stretch the constitution meaning and I mean really stretch that the President has the right to protect this country, he has the duty to prove to the American people that imposing a tariffs protects the country from danger making this a national security  matter.

Steve’s Barking;Donald Trump and double jeopardy

If Iwere to advise the President of the United States I would advise him to  encourage have him to seek impeachment. That may seem like a crazy idea but I doubt he would be convicted in the Senate, and any of those crimes that he is tried on he could claim double jeopardy and not be tried in civilian court when he  leaves office ( I would guess).

Steve’s Barking; Buying stocks into a recession

Today the stock market shot up.
The pundits gave the reason week job numbers and therefore the FED will lower interest rates. Translation the FED thinks that a recession is around the corner, let’s stave it off.
So buying stocks right now is a way of gambling no recession and the economy will get stronger.

Steve’s Barking;China is stealing our technology. Are we Americans sure.

As of 5/18/2019 we are in a trade war with China! 

We have hurt our farmers, and we’re are going to hurt our consumers because we want to produce products that we have no workers for. Now that would be crazy enough but we’re also hurting ourselves because we’ve been told that the Chinese our stealing our technology and what’s not being stolen outright is being given to them in order to do business with over 1.5 billion customers.

Outside of the government I haven’t heard any company complain. So which companies have been struck by a those dastardly Chinese? Is this some sort of racist rant? Are is the Chinese government really stealing and forcing Americans companies to hand over our secrets or is that just another ignorant rant.

Now the last I heard our our companies are free to produce and to sell anywhere in China. If they are afraid of turning over there technology don’t do business in China. Why are those mysterious companies making goods in China if they are stealing it?

Probably the biggest threat to our technology  is industrial spying, and if a Chinese company steals technology so be it, as American companies steal technology all the time.

Now as I recall from my history books we (the United States) stole industrial secrets from Britain at the end of the 18th century. Maybe their taking after us.
