Steve's barking at Arizona's experiment, and G warfare

As a progressive I know that stopping people on the street and asking them to prove that they are n this country is dead wrong but I still think it's a great experiment. We've been told that with out  illegals bossiness in this country would come to a grinding halt. In the next couple of months were going to find out if this is true in Arizona, or this is one belief that this is hot air, just another urban myth so to say. For it was reported on one of the so called news channels that illegal immigrants were leaving Arizona in droves.

What ever happen to the American spirit, we were the one's who practically invented gorilla warfare, in the past 60 some odd years we've let our enemies use this tactic on us instead of using it on them. No only that we wine about it. (When it  comes to war I'm a Monday morning general).

Steve's barking what's this thing called marriage

Tell me about marriage. I'm working on my second marriage and I till don't get it.
The reason I'm stating this real unimportant question for the past several years there has been a push for (lack of a better term) gay marriages.
Now I grow up in a generation were a large minority felt that a marriage was an institution something akin to prison, and the only reason one was to get married was to break up by getting a divorce. These people would live together, saying we don't need no stinking paper to show our love and commitment to one another.
So what is marriage anyway? A commitment to have children? A tax haven.? A moral right to have sex?
Perhaps it's a way to get health care insurance, part of a pension, and social security?
Perhaps marriage is the right to go to the hospital to see someone die.
Some places believe that your not married unless the ceremony was performed by the state, others your not married unless performed by some religious institution (I'll make no comment about that).
I've seen on u tube people pets getting married, and fake baby marriages( I hope). I even heard about some women who wanted to marry the Eiffel Tower ( I'll definitely make no comment about that ).
So in conclusion what's the big deal about marriage, unless one is thinking about getting a divorce.

steve barking complaints about pensions

Oh my it's Armageddon time again. Those boy and I guess Girls at the Manhattan institute have posted that all public pension funds are underfunded by almost one 20Th  of the national debt. I guess that means that that the governments aren't funding the pension funds correctly. I wounder what happened when in the past the pensions of the civil service was much more generous and there hasn't been any defaults on them that I'm aware of. After reading the report in Pravda, our former comptrollers are just a bunch of liars or their office don't know what they were talking about.after all they have been in the past stated that NYS pension fund is over funded. No were in the story did they mention who the actuaries were who were making the judgement that he pension funds are almost 1 trillion dollars underfunded. I know that New York guarantees the pension fund, do all other states, counties and municipalities.
Another group made the claim that almost 50% of house holds in the United state doesn't pay income tax and that a house hold of 4 making up to $50,000 doesn't pay federal income tax. I guess I don't know anyone who is of a family of 4 making $50,000 or less for that matter I don't know anyone who is working that doesn't pay income tax. I know several single people making less then $35000 who pay income tax. I would be more inclined to believe the numbers if it came unfiltered from the IRS and they stated that just under 50% of taxes filed got back all they payed or didn't have to file at all. They would have to e-mail it to me.
Several weeks ago I read an article in the Daily Rag by a professor assistant( what ever that is, and they are real, I looked it up)  from CUNY stating that civil service workers make the same or more then their private sector counter part, his proof in this was a private administration assistant, versus an administration assistant in the city make more then his counter part. Now when I was in private industry an administration assistant was a secretary and secretary were paid poorly or  were very paid. He also claimed that the two people had equal qualifications (The secretary must have had to taken a test). The gist of the article was workers used to take civil service jobs for the pension and he benefits. (Now that's not why most of the people I know took civil service jobs, the real reason was that they were out of work for a while and needed a job took a test and after a while they said F it and stayed on the job). the pay was not as good. Now judging from what I know from Disability and nursing that they recently had to raise their pay because they couldn't keep the personal.
Now as a Taxpayer I'm upset that my money is used to hire this phoney.

Steve's barking at vat

What is VAT? Sounds like something out of a vampire movie.
This is what Big Pauly of the Obama administration is suggesting that we do to reduce the deficit.
Now if I understand this straight everything we buy will end up costing us 10 to 30% more.
This is a bright idea, we should reduce the amount that we spend on discretionary income. Maybe we can actually have 25%  permanent unemployment.
Lets me write of another way to reduce the deficit. Shore up social security by adding 1% to the tax and having no limit on when you stop paying the tax. That way we will never have to pay back what we owe on what was borrowed from the trust fund.
Next we should put an import tax foreign oil, this will have a disincentive for us to import oil and give the oil company an incentive to make oil from algae and from shale.
Next put a 20% tax on imports that sell 80% of there manufactured goods to the U.S. (I'm talking about factories here)
Next put an excise tax on any company that moves it's company off shore, forcing them to pay the highest amount that they paid in taxes over the last five years for the next ten.
We shouldn't worry about what we owe the treasury after all they can print their own money and pay themselves. It's our treasury after all.
I think I writen about how to cut our deficit by about half. Rember the old saying the country that runs a surplus year after year will not last very long at all.

Steve's barking at Fox and Rupert and friends

I just saw this commercial were Zeus (Rupert the Red Murdock) complains about mere mortals (the Obama administration) defying him. His anger makes him say these words; bring on the Kraken (Glen Beck).

A couple of weeks a go I saw part of the Bill O Reilly show, This guy is as dull as dishwater, I don’t know why they just don’t run test patterns in his time slot, it only goes to show how corrupt the Neilson ratings are this guy is suppose to be drawing millions of viewer. I guess it’s put on by cranky old men like me who have a hard time going to sleep.

I caught a bit of Neil Cavuto (think I spelt his name right) spouting economic crap that when I was in the 7th grade, some 50 years ago was proven mathematically wrong, and this dude is a college grad, it doesn’t say much for our present day education system does it.

Rupert the red is going to start charging for people to read his papers online I hope for his sake that his experiment doesn’t become a complete disaster, think of all those over paid columnist that would lose their jobs. I don’t think I can take all the whining how the unions destroyed his newspapers.

I don’t understand why those who profess to be liberals or at least democrats on the Fox News channel turn into bobble head dolls bobbing their heads in agreement with the host. I really can’t fault the reactionary network on this, the buffoon radical network MSNBC has its’ own bobble head dolls. I guess they don’t like to piss off the people who pay the freight.

What’s with John Stossel? There’s a guy who must be paid in the high 6 figures possible 7 and after listening to him for a couple of minutes, the only thing I can discern about his head is that he uses it to grow hair.

Steve's barking at the price of oil

Oh no not again.
The price of future oil delivery is up, up and away.
This is at the same time that there are ships loaded with oil that are waiting all over the word to unload it's cargo. dare I say conspiracy. No it can't be, because the market will straighten things out. Oh by the way pigs can fly.
The true price of oil should be about 35 to 45 dollars a barrel. Don't give me the bull about China and India. The only reason those counties are paying that ridiculous price is due to the large surplus they have excess dollars that they are trying to get rid of (maybe).
The US is in big trouble, in recent history when the price of oil is too high the unemployment rates shoots up. We already have an extremely high unemployment rate what next?
