I just heard that the man with the bad hair is saying that he thinking about running for president.
He then made a birth-er like claim, was the president born in the United Stated?
Well I checked the president's birth certificate on the Internet. A copy is their with certain non -important information blacked out.
I then checked why these information was blacked out. It has to do with Hawaiian law.
Do I really I want a president who doesn't believe in the law and can't look up information on a computer.

Steve's barking at foreign aid to Israel

Foreign aid to Isreal, holy batman. Should the United States end it.
Well the first thing I would have to know is the 2 billion in foreign aid actually money or is it stuff that made in the US such as the F series planes. Bullets and such, is that the foreign aid that Isreal gets and if it is, how many jobs would the US lose if it stop Isreali foreign aid? And what about those corporation who make money off American foreign aid to Israel after all we don't want them to make less money. That's if the United States gives it's 2 billion in foreign aid in goods and services.
How would those who live in the neighborhood who are not Israeli think of that? One would think that they would be happy and more trusting of the US.   But one isn't necessarily right. When one is looking for a scape goat, it doesn't much matter what one does.
What about Israel, they would be really hurting after all how can they make 2 billion dollars.
I guess that Israel would have be more aggressive.  Israel more aggressive can't be. Of cause a lot of the constraints that are on them by the threat that they would lose foreign aid from the United States would no longer  exist.
What happens if Israel is attached by one of those nations that doesn't believe that it is a legitimation country. 
Israel would then have no reason to show constraints.
What would happen if Israel was in danger of annihilation, do you believe in nuclear winter.

What would happen if Iran got the bomb and decided to use it against Isreal?
I'm pretty sure that 3/4 of the Muslim population of Palestine would no loner exist, not from Israel but from the Shiite non Arab nation.
Radiation poisoning doesn't know of nations or religion.


 

Steve's barking I'm not so smart.

I'm not so smart. Actually I'm a real smart ass, it's just my brain that doesn't know every thing.
I understand Newsweek came out with a survey that claims that Americans don't know that much about this country. This may be true, but unfortunately I didn't read the article but I have my own take on what I don't think I know.
The chief justice of the US is Roberts?
Pierre is the capitol North Dakota or is South Dakota, maybe it's the capitol of no Dakota.
The voting members of congress are 435 or is it 650, I'm sure that the District of Columbia representative is just an observer.
I don't remember the name of the vice president under the original president Bush, except he corrected the right spelling of potato from a school child to wrong spelling.
International  I don't know the name of the prime ministers of India, Pakistan, or China ( I'm sure Ho is not the head of China and Mao has dead it seems like for ever.).
I'm worried about my ignorance of current events, And I know more then most anchor people on television or for that matter members of congress.

Steve's barking at why the pols and the papers are calling Americans stupid

You read it here first kiddies, most of the papers, most of the commentators and the politicians are calling most of the American people stupid. No they don't come right out look the American people in the eye and say you people are stupid. They call majority of the American people stupid by simply saying that government workers make more then they do, have benefits that they don't have. What there not saying is why don't you idiots take a government job, after all most of the jobs that our civil service it's not who you know. It's how well you do on a test or in some cases  what you bring to the table in prior work experience. ( Now I know that's not always the case, just look at New York City mayoral appointments, this administration and the last).
Now assuming how much better it is to be in the public sector and that most jobs aren't based on who you know but how well you do on a test or what you've done prior, one who have to be stupid not to try for a civil service job. Most Americans take civil service jobs as a last resort, and if you don't believe me, just look at how many people actually apply for a civil service job, you don't fine a line around the block for most of these jobs. So because these jobs are so good one would have to reason that politicians,newspaper columnist, along with most pundits on the boob tube and annoying radio are really stating that Americans are stupid. After all the majority of Americans should be applying for civil service jobs and their not.

If being a teacher is so good why several years ago, did New York City have a recruiting problem?      

Steve's barking if business would be run as businessmen want the government to be run

If business would run be run as businessmen want the government to be run.
Now that's a long intro into this blog.
Let me guess this straight, there would be no borrowing of more then expected income, and dept would be very low. That being the case I guess Amazon when it started out would never have gotten off the ground. What about this guy Trump, this dude Rupert Murdock, didn't they spend a lot more money then they were taking in and were on the verge of bankruptcy.
I guess these dudes for got that how bad they had been. To be frank I'm not quite sure the previous statement is true but being a blog I can write anything I want too. Kind of like the people on Fox News, MSNBC, and CNN can say anything they want too as long as it sounds good.
While I'm at it why do  people believe that Americans live with in their means, 20 years ago maybe, but I know too many people who live from paycheck to paycheck and borrowed . This can't be that unusual for if it was there wouldn't  be as many foreclosures and reprocessed cars as there are in this country. Living beyond our means must be as American as apple pie, so why complain about the government?
Oh yes those who do the most complaining are the ones willing to spend ( even borrowing) way beyond what the job pays.
The real title of this blog should be the hypocrisy of those who tell the government to stay out of debt.

Steve's barking at negative compounding

Negative compounding, what the h is that?
Negative compounding never heard of it.
If you don't understand what compounding is try understanding this, 100 plus 5% equals 105. If you add 5% to that the number becomes 110.25 in a shorter period of time then it would take you to double 100 to 200 by having 5% add to the whole number plus the disciple number. It will take you 15 addition compounding to make it over 200  were it will take 20 additions of 5 to make 200.
Negative compounding works the same way except in the opposite way if you take money out of the economy more money then you can imagine is being taken out of the economy.  If money is taken out of the economy there is less money to spend or invest creating what one might call a domino effect.
The same is true if you take jobs out of the economy other jobs are lost due to compounding.
What I'm trying to put into words those buffoons who are running the various governments in the US are job killers, including the private sector.
If were not  careful the deficits in real terms is going to balloon because of negative compounding brought about by those who want to control the deficit.( Hard to believe cutting government spending will bring about a larger deficit)? 
I hope for (anyone?) who reads this blog I didn't bore you to death.

Steve's barking at blaming the starving children of Europe.

I know the reason why Americans eat so much. It's the fault of the starving children of Europe.
You don't believe me, then you must not be an American baby boomer. All us baby boomers were told by our mothers to eat all the food off our plates, or no deserts. The staving children of Europe who only wished that had food, because they were starving. So we all had to eat everything off our plates because of the staving children in Europe.
Our parents bought large refrigerators and or freezers so we could have extra food, not like the starving children of Europe.
We then taught our children that it was important to eat big and not to leave anything over, of cause we didn't mention the starving children of Europe. We didn't have to they just followed our example.
So blame the starving children of Europe.    

Steve barking at the mayor from fantasy land.

I know, I know fantasy land doesn't have a mayor.
I'm writing about Mayor Mike from New York City. Yes I Know New York isn't fantasy land, but my mayor seems to be in Never Never Land. If the Mayor can say on Feb 28Th 2011 that City Time contract is on time after being 12 years late he must be be the mayor of Never Never land.
If the mayor hires consultants for $300,000 and up as has been reported and complains about the health care and pension cost of City workers, he must be in Never Never land. What do consultants do anyway? Of cause I live in the real world of New York. and In the real world of New York Government consultants who are paid like that of gangsters. Mayor Mike is getting getting around civil service with it's salary scale by hiring consultants. ( No one is saying what these consultants are doing and why why their worth so much).
Mayor Mike wants to do away with last in first fired because he states that we will be (I'll try to get this straight) in times of trouble we will be able to get keep better teachers and fire teachers that aren't as good.
This being impossible to prove so he'll rely on principles who will us test score of students or other such methods. Unfortunately in the real world principles reward their favorites, and punish those they can't get along with. Again the mayor must be the mayor of Never, Never land.
I used to really like and respected this mayor, but he rigged the law giving him a third term. He comes across as a devious man who wants to get rid of teachers who aren't teaching by threatening to layoff over 7 thousand teaches and getting rid of what I used to believe was civil service law. Perhaps he wants to rid of teachers who aren't teaching or he's hoping to trim payroll by laying off those who make more.
I've been made to believe that we are a nation of laws, perhaps some believe that those law don't apply to them. 
Oh yes the mayor wants to have negotiation with unions about pensions, Well I guess a person can be  if   covered by several different kinds of pension plans,if he or she changed Jobs. Which type of pension plans would that worker be entitled too. This would be a good idea in fantasy land but not a good idea in the real world.
  

Steve's barking at Unions for government workers (collective bargaining)

I've bee watching so called news and business networks recently,  hearing from the peanut gallery (the paid experts?) claiming that government workers shouldn't have unions and that  government workers shouldn't have collective bargaining. Now are they saying that if you become a government worker you lose your rights. Government workers don't have the right to ask for raises, nor ask for a decent health care. Government workers can't have representation nor rally, or voice an opinion. I guess these gas bags  believe that government workers should be grateful that the taxpayers let them work for them.
I'd have some respect for these overpaid stiffs if they didn't have agents or lawyers, I'd excuse their self -righteousness (maybe).
From my time in state government and a union activist I know a lot more then those pundits on the boob tube and those who write in the papers.
Nobody forced governors and legislators to give raises, if other states are like New York it's against the law to strike.
What can the workers do if they didn't get raises, vote against the politicians. There are more none government workers then there are government workers.
Give money to those politicians. They spend more money on their elections then the public unions could possibly give.
As I see it those who think that collective bargaining rights should be taken away public unions are just a bunch of sniveling cowards.  Kind of like most of the commentators on Fox.

New York State pensions can not be part of collective bargaining, I imagine that's the way it is in most states.

Why are states in a such bad shape when it comes to paying out pensions?
If they put money into their pension systems in good times as well as bad,there would be no shortfalls in their pension systems, New York doesn't and I believe California has no shortfall. If government didn't do what it's suppose to it blames the unions.

Did anyone but me notice that the demise of private pensions coincides with the demise of private sector unions.
