Steve's Barking at Turn off the lights

No matter how much money the Democratic Party spends this year the're going to be outspent by the Republicans, maybe as high as two to one.
Whats the party of my youth suppose to do? Turn out the lights and go home? Or maybe they can do something they haven't done since before Nixon, think and be smarter. I'm sorry I forgot about the Clinton campaign, but that was an ab-oration.
Just think of the last off year election, the democrats ran against a group that threaten to cut off unemployment, when the unemployment rate was over 10%. They ran against people who threaten to end Pell grants. They ran against a party were many of it's members called Social Security a Ponzi  scheme.
Those who would be effected most stayed home in droves.
Now I asked myself why. The only answer I could come up with is that the Democratic Party failed to educate it's natural constituents. In other words it didn't scare the hebe jebes out of people who have a vested interest to vote for them.

The theme of this election should be those who believe that government should do everything in power to help all the people and by doing so even the rich will get richer (raising tide lifts all boats) versus those who believe that the government is the enemy, and the employment fairy is just around the corner.

I do believe that the democratic party must educate those in rural America that they would still be without electricity if they were waiting for private companies to bring electricity. Maybe the democratic party should educate the whole country that we would have been one hungry nation if we did not have farm subsidies and government built dams.
Ask those who believe government is the problem how many cars would be sold if it wasn't for government built roads.

Maybe the democratic theme songs should be if it wasn't for government (Cue Donna Summers) Turn off the lights sweet baby, then fade to black.
