Now we all know or should know that money is the storage of value.
My question is to all you out there is the fed actually changing different storage of value.
Now I maybe crazy but isn't bonds really a storage of value, kind of like money. So if you print money by buying bonds that are kind of like changing one storage of value with another.

Steve barking at putting his 2 pence in on the NRA
The NRA or the national (w)rong association is fighting fighting against gun controll.
Their argument is the second amendment wrongly asserting what the meaning of a well regulated militia means. No you nimrods a well regulated militia does not mean individuals do not have the right to bear arms. Now I know that there are quotes from some of our beloved writers of our constition that claim that individuals have the not just the right to bear arms, but have a duty so as not
to have a tyrannical government. Now I've checked google images to see if those quotes are accurate and I have yet to see any written quotes that our imaged from our founding fathers. Not letters, not newspaper accounts from our founding fathers on speaking about weapons. Show me the images as I have seen from other subjects that pretain to what our founding fathers believed in. NRA show me the images. Anybody can make up quotes to justify their prejudice.
What I do know is the most compelling reason we have a constition is because of a little thing called Shayes Rebellion. One of the most scary thing that happened was that the militia had to break into the Massachusetts armory to get it's guns.
The act of rebellion scared the sh*t out of our founding fathers. Most of our founding fathers decided that it might be a good idea to have one strong central government then a loose federation of thirteen different states.
Now lets look at another reason that those who state that our founding father's did believe that a well regulated militia was not that all it's armed citizens were part of a militia. There was this armed ins erection in Western Pennsylvania, know in history as the Wiskey Rebellion, Were President Washington brought in Militias from other states, and not one word from the other founding fathers about the rights of those in rebellion.
Now if one can't talk some sence into the gun lobby about what the real purpose of the second amendment, there is always the threat of a repeal.
No there is no real threat of a repeal of the second amendment or the taking of guns from gun owners. The fact of the matter is that there are 300 million plus reasons why this will not happen.
Now I wouldn't be writing this if the NRA had done a better job teaching and insisting on gun safety.
The tragity a Newtown probably would not have happened if the guns had been locked up.
If I'm not mistaken Columbine the guns that were used were stolen from the parents.
I'm not so convinced that having a gun at home stop home invasions, studies before 1996 suggest that
having a gun a home doesn't protect the home like is claimed by the NRA and the stories that are told of how those who killed, wounded, or scared away invaders are really dog bites man stories.

Steve's barking at why I'm prejudice against gays
I'm prejudice against homosexuals.
I don't care if same sex persons want to married, that us human's prerogative.
Do I believe that some one should be abused because of their sexual orientation? No way.
Barred from jobs? Surely that must be a joke, after all some of them are the best workers, and some of them are the worst. In business one sould only be judged on results.
I'm upset that homosexuals are called gay (happy) and I'm so miserable.
We're all prejudice against gays. We don't think that a gay man can have no fashion sence.
We don't think that a gay woman can be quite feminine.
We all have preconceived ideas in our heads.
This is true on how we perceive what a gay person is, this is true also on what we believe is true history, and lets not leave out the truth in economics.

Steve's barking at the US end of life health care
The statistic have come out and it's been proven beyond a doubt that if your an old coot in America you have a better chance of living longer then just about any other country. The statics are also in that
there are many a. country that you have a better chance to be an old coot then the US, hence the life expectancy in many a country is greater then the United States.
Does my beloved country put too much resources into my generation and not enough in people under 65? ( Don't forget the money that my generation put into the Medicare trust fund only pays for hospitalization the rest comes out of the general fund).
Perhaps one of the major reason we aren't in the tops of longevity is many of us have inadequate health care.
Maybe representative Ryan is on to something if only he would change his attitude and have a health care tax that would tax income putting that money into a special fund were everyone could chose their healthcare insurance. ( kind of like the way the Germans do there healthcare. We would be steeling their healthcare idea like we stole heir social security idea.).

Steve's barking, why nobody truly explained to me, why it's Clinton's fault
It's President Clinton's fault that we had this housing bubble that screw up the economy, or so many of the US economic pundits explain, after all he wanted to have everyone citizen to own a house no matter how credit worthy they were. He even forced the banks (according to these pundits)to give mortgages with little or no money down.
What I don't understand how come the compassionate conservative who ran the White House didn't put a stop to this economic foolishness. Nobody has explained to me why the banks (who were making money hand over fist) tell the president that it wasn't prudent to lend everybody who walked in the door money to buy a house. I also seem to recall Fed Chair Alan Greenspan talking about a bubble, and nobody listening to him, including himself.
So bottom line to these economic pundits, it all those muddle headed liberals in the Clinton's administration fault that we had a housing bubble, without explaining to me what was everyone doing
the seven and a half years after he left office.

Steve's barking the Cyprus banks must be crazy
The Cyprus banks or is it just the government of Cyprus that must be crazy.
Almost every country on the this planet want people to save money and put it in the bank.
That way the populous wouldn't be so dependent on the government.
Now I've just read that the Cyprus government is taxing money in the bank to payoff the loans from the IMF.
I was wondering, whats the purpose of the IMF in excepting this.
Is it to promote poverty?
To promote civil unrest?
To promote dictatorship?
To destabilize the Cyprus economy?
Is the IMF turning into a worthless organization?

Steve's barking at a nation of laws that aren't followed
As a proud New Yorker and one who was happy with Mayor Mike's first two terms, but one who is angry that he has a third term. The voters of the city set a term limit ( A law that I hate, for I feel that I have the right to vote any one who at least has a record) law. So the mayor got the city council to pass a law that gave him and them the right for a third term, but only them, and he got a judge to agree with them.
Mayor Mike is now complaining about a judge who didn't let him get away with his rule by decree that establishments that are regulated by the city can not sell any soda's above 16 oz. The judge also ruled that it discriminated against soda because it didn't include more fattening liquids such as milk shakes but that's not what I'm trying to write about in this particular blog. What my complaint is that we have laws and we including our government does everything to either ignore it or interpret in a way that wasn't the reason it was written.
In New York State we like to ignore the sixth amendment. If you look at trial dates, you will find that it's very rear when the defendant has a speedy trial
One can find plenty of examples of excessive bail in violation of the eight amendment to the constitution.
Please don't get me started on the second amendment, one would think that the supreme court justices are reading comprehensive deficient.
How many of us jay walk, or have taken forbidden drugs? Perhaps had illegal type of sex?
In my youth I can honestly say that I have done all three. There I said it, perhaps I really shouldn't get upset about those in higher status ignore or skate the law.
* Not to long ago I was talking with some people who happen to bring up that America was a nation of laws.
My attitude was so what, but I kept my mouth shut, this was what I should have said.

Steve's barking black is white, white is black
*Blacks not black and I don't want my baby back.
Librals of the comic persuasion defend Rush Limbaugh against any boycott because of what he says.
Conservative talk show host such as Rush Limbaugh and Shaun Hanitty didn't Make it untill they came to liberal town, New York City.
New York City, the city that has every thing has no country western radio station, nor jazz station.
Many Democrates applaud Rand Paul and many Republicans are appalled by his filibuster.
Mayor Blumberg putting the health of NY City housing residents by not taking care of moled and plastering holes were rats get into the apartments even though the city has the money to make the fixes, claiming at the same time that he's the health mayor getting rid of large sugary drinks, and smoking in the park.
* A song by Los Bravos , Black is Black

Steve's barking I maybe crazy but sometimes I'm wrong, but I maybe right
The numbers are in, the private sector created 198,000 jobs in Feb ( per ADP). Some of those jobs were in construction. (Results from hurricaine Sandy, ya think). Retail positions also increased(this was before JC Penny said that it was eliminated gobs of jobs). These numbers seem to be biteing me in the a##,after all in my world government creates jobs and the private sector follows suite.
Maybe I'm just thinking wrong, didn't the government give money to help rebuild after that dog Sandy. (Construction jobs). Retail heads looked around and said the Tea Party isn't that crazy they kept much of the Bush stimulus package( keeping the lower taxation for the 98percent).
Now these numbers seem to give credence to the fact that the president ain't that bad when it comes to the economy. The crazies are going crazier, I'm surprise that they don't accuse ADP of conspiracy to cook the numbers on behalf of their old boss Frank Laternberg.
Funny thing how one department store chain claimed they had great numbers the past quarter, I seem to recall going into one of their stores just before Christmas and had no problem with crowds as I had in the past, and I've been told by others that they had the same experience in other stores by this chain.
Perhaps it was the long Chistmas season.
I sure wish that Koch industries hadn't screwed up Georgia Pacific, they used to have great paper products. Kinda wounder about their non consumer products?

Steve's barking at something's don't change with time
The other day I was home watching a sit com Barney Miller from 1979.
One of the prisoners was complaining about those people who get food stamps and the rich who have there damn tax breaks. What's the middle class suppose to do?
What we have here is middle class envy, of the cookie by the cream (or what ever that filling is) in an Oreo.
I for one don't envy the rich, too many of them sound paranoid. As far as those on food stamps 99 present of them are poorer then church mice.

Steve's barking at giving the people what they want
I don't understand what the fuss that the Republicans are saying about the sequester, it's exactly what they asked for. There are no new taxes and there is a one percent spending cut.
You Republicans can't have it both ways.
You conservatives are luck I'm not the president for I would search for the place that hollers the most about about the need to cut spending, closing a national park in that area, cutting the civilian work force in places like Fort Knox, trying to spare those areas that don't have representatives that don't believe in draconian measures. The fact of the matter is the whole country doesn't have to be effected by the sequester and it's could be used as an experiment to see what will happen in areas that have no federal government interference with federal monies as against the rest of the nation. These areas shouldn't be hit hard with unemployment, for after all there representatives claim that government doesn't create jobs private enterprise does.
