Steve barking the comedian as a bully

Are comedians bullies?
Joan Rivers past away and she was given great praised by her peers. All over the the TV all you can hear is great praise for.
I thought her only as a bully, then again television news has has becoming a bulling pulpit not to be confused with a bully pulpit.
Personally I liked Joan Rivers except her later years were her comedy became mean. She made fun of fat people, of people who had a hard time dressing themselves, any little flaw was fair game.
I like Jon Stewart, and Bill Meher but they too make me cringe. Does being a comic mean that you have too be mean? Is it just satirist? Do satirist get a bye?
 Am I a bully?
Na no one reads what I write anyway.
If at one time you made fun of yourself does that give you a bye.
The reason I'm confused about comic and bulling is not that long ago the same people who complained about bulling in schools and in the work place praise the comic who makes fun of some one in the public eye no mater how much it might hurt that person and in reality that person may have done nothing to deserved that ridicule. Least not forget the classic bully thinks he's funny and so do his friends.
Do I think the satirist should stop making fun of the high and the mighty. No, not by a long shot.
Am I contemptuous of people who make fun of other people just because they can?
Yes. Just as I look down on those guys who make fun of nerds and nerds who make fun of those not as smart, and in crowd that destroys the self confidence of a person who has trouble finding friends.

In conclusion I found no one who would call Joan Rivers a bully, at least not the way I would.
Being bullied hurts. Most Times the bully does't even know that their bulling.

* There are many people who knew Joan Rivers personally who would call her one of the kindest people  you could know.
