For all those who worry if Donald "the duck " loses the presidential election that the Republican Party would be in trouble, I'm stating just the opposite, if The Duck wins he would shatter too many beliefs on how to win election. He would be not have listened to anyone. He be his own man. The independence of Republican congressmen and woman to get special treatment for their districts or state would be in jeopardy.
The whole way the political parties look at elections would change? Or possibly the Duck would be America's Cromwell and after him, things will go back to the way they always were.

Steve's barking; The Duck is a muddled headed liberal
Donald (the duck) Trump wants to talk with Pak Pung Ju of North Korea. He wants to have better relations with Russia... Now if he was a Democrat he would be called a muddled headed liberal.
Dom Clinton has a get tough policy that if she was a Republican would be called a war monger (neocon)conservative.
That shows me how crazy my American political world has become.

Steve's barking; what's wrong with the E U?
What's wrong with the EU?
1. No common taxation.
2. No common language.
3. Undemocratic.
4. Too bureaucratic.
5. Rich States don't pay their fair share(?).
6. No common budget. ( each country in the E U has a budget that covers each state, why can't the E U have a common budget.
In the Untied States richer states pay more into the federal budget the poorer states.
This observation from some one who hasn't followed the E U very closely.

Steve's barking; I trust (believe in) science
I trust that all mater is made of molecules, even though when I look at my hand it's seems very solid.
Even though if I smack my hand it hurts. It seems hard to imagine, but I believe that there's empty space between atoms that and atoms have empty space in them. I just trust it's true.
I also trust that those who figured that out were smarter then me.
I trust that climate change is real that humans have a hand in it. I understand this from 9th grade general science ( which they don't have classes anymore in NYC schools). CO2 lets heat in from the sun and traps much of it from going out. I also trust NASA that they are placing thermometers all over the earth and our recording record breaking heat. I trust in that to be true., even though I have caveats as other unknowns might be intensifying the earth heating up.
I trust that scientist are constantly questioning what is believed to be true.
There are those who believe that heaven and earth was made in six days. Who am I to argue with them, after all what is a day. We know what an earth day from the system devised by unknown geniuses (mathematical), but what is the measurement of universal time?
While I'm thinking about it does time speed up in space, or does it slow down?
Is there a lack of gravity between galaxies and does gravity between stars slow or speed up the speed of light?
Is it faster to navigate in space then we have imagined?

Steve's barking; It's not how much you spend on the military it's how you spend the money
It's silly season in the United States. It's been silly season since January when the presidential politics started.
The book big thing that those running for office blabbering on about is money spent on the military.
Let me get my nickels worth in, we can spend 10 times what the next country spends, but it's the quality of what you buy that really counts. If you're spending your money on high price kitchen help were in n the old days it was done by the ordinary soldiers ( we used to call it KP).
If we spend billions on aircraft that doesn't work. It doesn't doesn't matter how much you spend, especially if your enemy who is spending less has better equipment because the adversary has to be.
I almost forgot, the cost of all countries are cheaper to make weapons and the pay is lower, so yes the adversary might just have a monetary advantage.
Is military procurement a Republican works program? Sometimes I wonder.

Steve's barking; Wage inflation and the Fed.
Watching them damn business news stations, and what did I hear, there's a slight increase in wage inflation. I certainly hope so. The minamum wage is going up, whether by force by state and local government or by competition and this being what I learned in high school is a good thing. If a government tries to curb this lower end wage inflation that would be a bad or even disastrous out come.
No one ever mentioned CEO wage inflation.

Steve's barking; No businesses do not go in a straight line
I must have too much time on my hand, I've been watching too much business news tv.
It seems that every time a stock goes down it do to the fact that the company didn't make as much money as should be expected if the company revenue and profits went in a straight line upward.
Now I know of no business course that teaches a profit goes up in a straight line.
The only reason any stock broker would sell a stock that didn't go up in a straight line is he wanted to make money and selling that stock that the company didn't go up in a straight line is a great excuse.
