Steve's Barking; It's irrelevant

When watching some boob on the boob tube saying this is the worst recovery from a recession since 1949 I can't help thinking we have the lowest inflation rate from a recovery since 1949 and that's a good thing.
We have foreign competition and if you believe in the free market that's a good thing.
Oh and judging from the current political discorce were afraid of competition in the world market place.

At one time there were six workers for every retire can't collecting Social Security, now there are only three, soon too be only two and a half. That too should be irrelevant after all the excess money went into buying bonds. And after the bonds are no longer there, we just have to remove the cap on income and the money for my daughter's Social Security should be there.

Steve's Barking; They don't speak the same language on the budget

Oh the budget deficit doubled under President Obama,
Oh why are those conservatives complaining about, the president has cut the budget deficit in half!
Who's right?
Can they both be right?
Both can prove that they are right, proven that they don't speak the same language when it comes to the budget.

Steve's Barking; Are the rates for healthcare going up because of Obamacare.

If we Americans must by private healthcare insurance are the rates going up 25% do to the Afordable  Health Care Act, or would they go up that amount anyway? There is no way to prove it, one way or another. Insurance companies charge what ever the market will bare.

Steve's barking; U.S missiles are not up to date thank goodness.

The American missiles are so out dated they still use floppy disk.
Just think with all the hacking and interferance with the Internet it's a good thing that our missile system is antiquated.

Steve's barking; How to lose a trillion dollars in value with out even trying

There are a lot of know it alls out there who complain that the bond yields are too low.
Just think, wouldn't a lot of investors run from the stock market to the bond market, so how many billions will those multi billionaires lose?
What's the breaking point of companies that are leveraged up if interest rates start rising?
Will a company like Amazon become the new Enron?

Steve's barking; High crimes and misdemeanors

Wouldn't it be a hoot if  the U.S. Election is really about voting for Mike Pence or Tim Kaine.
The Constitution of  the United States states that two of the grounds for impeachment are high crimes and misdemeanors. Well Republicans in the senate hate both the duck and the thorn. They both have done questionable things that some can construe as a high crime or even a misdemeanor.
Trial by the senate could null and void the election, putting the winning Vice President in the Oval Office.
This scenario is possible but not probable.

Steve's Barking; Do sanctions really work?

Iran came to the bargaining table and promised new to make the bomb ( the atomic that is) .
Now I ask (myself) did they come to the table because of sanctions or did they see a good thing when they saw it? The sanctions after all didn't stop sponsoring destabilization which was the purpose of the sanctions in the first place. Maybe the bargaining was because trade was needed by those imposing sanctions?
The U.S.has been imposing sanction on Cuba since Hector was a pup but did that change the leadership of Cuba, or the way the only island is governed? Nah, only when trade was needed was the sanctions loosened and Cuban people are better off from it.
The world has had sanctions against North Korea since it became a rogue state and what can be said of the grass eating Korea. It's just as belligerent as before, and perhaps more so as the sanctions are tightened.
What about Russia and the the sanctions the world or at least some of the world placed on it? Well it appears from my living room that they've become Cold War scary.

Well who does it appear that sanctions hurt, why the people of the countries that have sanctions against them, and the companies that want to do business with them.

We're humans for crying out load can't we figure better ways of handling aggressive  behavior

Steve's barking; Amazon the new Sears

Amazon is a E commerce  machine.
Sears was a snail mail machine.
Sears kept changing, first mail order, then stores are in the big cities, the by golly that set up shop in the suburbs. But let's not forget they had the juggernaut of Mail Commerce of their day selling everything under the sun, even setting their own brand darn if Amazon isn't doing that now with online shopping.

Steve's Barking; Bringing back the horse drawn milk wagon

Why don't those charlatans that claim to know all about the economy and are screaming about the loss of good jobs to foreign countries and the decline of wages in the good old US of A demand that we bring back the horse drawn milk wagon . The horses don't pollute the same way trucks do, plus there's nothing like good old fashion fresh milk from the dairy. These were good paying ( in their day) jobs.

The jobs that have left America are not the best jobs of the new economy. Even the manufacturing jobs that remained such as making of cars. They don't pay the salaries that they us to pay.
Why oh why do those economic possers use a static that had has no rational in the new economic realty: this is the worst economic recovery from a recession. Inflation is only 1.5% growth.

We have low inflation except in New York City and San Francisco and North Dekota.
We have a 4.9% unemployment rate ( a highly unreliable statistic, but compared to the underemployment and those not looking for work stats it like the holly grail of stats).

As I've written before we have more jobs that aren't be filled that pay well enough. We're are the future truck drivers, mechanics and tool dye makers coming from.

Before America starts bringing jobs back from other countries, we should take a hard look at if the jobs that have left are worth bringing back. Stop being nostalgic about the past and look to the future economics

Steve's Barking; I can't stand the main stream media

I can't stand the main stream media. They don't tell the truth. There picking on my candidate.
Or if you're the duck, they're picking on me. And they lie about me so say it the duck.

Now me personally I don't read the real main stream media, the Wall Street Journal (the largest circulation newspaper in America). I don't follow Fox News channel the largest rated news channel in the US. And for that matter I don't listen to talk to radio.
Just think, I'm in the demographics, old white man, who's angry as hell and I just don't follow the main stream media.

I do read main steam NY Times abridged addition on my I Pad. Oh I do watch the local news and that loser station CNN. So when I hear the complaints about main stream media I have no idea what those crazes are talking about.
