Steve’s Barking; Self contained trading
Self contained trading?
That’s when one country or trading block does most of its manufacturing, producing within it’s boundaries.
At one point in time it was quite possible for America to manufacture and sell most If its goods within its borders and still be the
among richest countries in the world. Those days are gone.
China may be able to buy and sells its products within its borders better then us.
European Union has more customers then us.
If the rest of the Americas set up a trade federation they would be self sufficient.
Would American manufacturers be hurt against self-sufficient countries or trade block? Yea they would.
America is no longer the most self-sufficient block in the world.
