WTF! How can these rich jocks be considered a slave? After all they are over paid people playing a game. Now let’s look at it this way a team holds the player to a contract, now the team he or she in most cases can have that contract traded to another team in no other business would this be permissible. I’d love to hear that Dell computer traded a system engineer to , Hewlett-Packard for a systems analysis to be named later. It just wouldn’t happen. Now I know that some players force trades which in real world business would not be allowed. In fact in some businesses top talent can’t work for rivals for a period of time or they would be sued. Hmm maybe that’s a form of slavery of the well off kind of like professional team athletes only in a kind of reverse.
Now I know that no one is forcing the athlete to work at being an athlete and they can leave playing there particular sport any time they chose. Not like what we think of slavery before 1865 were a human is actually owned by another human. Yea I know that’s still going on in the world today. That of what my tongue and cheek is all about.
