Steve’s Barking; Why doesn’t Congress want to do it’s job

Holey Smoly Batman, why doesn’t the US Congress want to do its job and either have a tax on goods  coming into the United States or not. Tariffs ( which are taxes are the provenance of  Congress not the White House) is a rather poor way of turning around trade imbalances but an easy way of raising revenue. Having no PhD I’m trying to figure what national  security  risk non military or non informational products has on the U.S. which has been hinted that the president has the power to   Levy taxes for in the form of tariffs
Why has no congress person sued the president? Are they just a bunch of lazy bums that don’t want to do their jobs
They proved that they didn’t want to do their job when they refused to hold hearings on Supreme Court nominee Garland.
If those members of congress that don’t want to do their job, they should all just resign.

If there was zero tariffs were would the revenue to the state come from.
That includes the U.S.

When there was a hint of a value added border tax to help pay for income tax reduction, is by letting the president leaving high tariffs a sneaky way of new taxes to pay for the reduction in income tax?

Steve's barking; Lottery is for education (not)

How many times have you and me been told that buying lottery tickets help education.
Ask yourself when there is an increase in lottery revenue does you school budget go up?
No!
Then you have to as yourself were does the the money go?
It goes into tax relief. If not your state and mine would have to pay a greater part of  the education bill  from taxes. Taking that into account the main reason for the lottery is tax relief, not education.
Now I've heard many a governor say that lottery revenue goes to education, and they believe it.
Those governors are very delusional.

Steve's barking; what if the IRS let us elect what our taxes paid for!

What if when we paid our taxes we the tax payer could elect to say what we are paying for!
What if we could say I want my one hundred percent of my tax dollars to go to defense, or one hundred percent to go to education, because I don't like war. May be a person would chose that his or her tax dollars would be a mix of social welfare programs and health care. What if you could have twenty percent of your taxes for roads, thirty percent for education and fifty percent for defense.
Would my fellow Americans be more willing to pay their taxes?
Would we have enough money to pay for necessary things like paying congress.A necessary evil if ever there was one.
Perhaps the would be less cheating? May be we the people would have more money in our treasury?
Perhaps we would have to much money for defense and not enough for the general good?
Perhaps my fellow citizens would be so cynical that they would doubt the money they elected to go for one thing is actually going for something else?
This is one of my ideas that I know is actually going nowhere!
