 America 10 months ago was the envy of the world. As great a science country that the present administration is set on destroying, throwing foreign scientists out, and it appears not let science innovations happen. The envy of the world for higher education but now we're keeping foreign students out and hurting the top universities by suing them and interfering of their teaching. Those in federal government raised the price of goods because of tariffs. Before the tariffs the price of goods compared to income was as cheap if not cheaper than the rest of the world. 

 The third world countries  are run by rulers who are autocratic just as the United States is doing now.Many in the third world claim law and order except the fact that the rulers appear to be criminals making up their own laws just as the US is doing now.

 Oh did I forget, high unemployment in the third world as the United States appears to be going.

 Question f the day, is Trump the new Woodrow Wilson? After all they both appear to be self centered narcissists. They both claimed at one time that they kept us out of war. They both threw out foreigners. They both appear to have a prejudice streak in them.  Both gentlemen appeared sickly at one time or other. If I’m not mistaken both used the national guard against the citizens of America, Wilson I believed in Oklahoma.

 ADP claims 54, 000 new private jobs were created in August of 2015. Labor department claim 235, 000 jobs were created in August, claiming that includes private and public sector. This cynical old man claims give them a couple of more weeks and the jobs report will be revised downward.

 The appeals court of the U.S. done said Tarrifs by executive order is not legal by way of the U.S. Constitution. Now if this holds true on the almighty U.S Supreme Court well This crazy 🤪 man says that the president of this United States got lucky. How can I say this? Well the Tarrifs were and are  costing the citizens of the U.S. a pretty penny ( even though the Pres said that the country’s that aren’t the U.S. would pay for it. Now because so many of the consumers have to cut back to survive, layoffs are a coming. Now if the government had some decency they will obey the courts decision. If this crazy blogger is right the harm had been done though it might not be so bad ( risking a run on sentence) the president can blame the court that the economy went into a tailspin taking the blame off himself and many a person will believe him.

 I just read an interesting article that China can build fast because of engineers, the US can’t build fast because of lawyers. 

 I don’t remember who wrote or what magazine I saw on the internet but as i went on to other articles on net from other periodicals it just struck in my mind.

 I started thinking about housing in NYC. And the rest of the nation. Building of highways and the cost of the highways and other good stuff. Is the US falling behind and therefore China is overtaking the US. Or is the US protecting its citizens? Which is right and which is wrong?

 What the “F” happened to my go to cheap meal? Campbells tomato soup and grilled cheese. And  could eat a bowl of chicken soup from Campbell’s. Not to long ago I could buy a can of soup for under a dollar then it was a dollar and a quarter at the beginning of the year. “Yesterday” the price was $2.45. Holly Hanna, don’t tell me we don’t have inflation in the United States. If anyone in government should be fired it’s those lying bums who state there is no inflation.

 If you watch the boob tube and U Tube and the talk is about Cracker Barrel you would think that they go to Cracker Barrel because of the logo and that the elimination of the barrel and the guy was some sort of liberal conspiracy. Me not being too bright can’t figure it out. What liberal conspiracy? It’s just some guy and a barrel. Eliminating them is what,  an all inclusive ploy? It’s probably just some advertising goofball who had nothing to do. I would love to go to a Cracker Barrel because I’m crazy about their chicken fried steak, but alas there are none near me.

 The president of the United States yesterday said that he fired fed governor. Lisa Cook for mortgage fraud. She wasn’t tried nor convicted of mortgage fraud. Welll I do recall 🤔 that the President Donald Trump was accused of mortgage fraud ( perhaps I’m wrong) . Welll he was accused of many things such as inflating the value of his properties. Welll if one fed gov  can be removed from office for mortgage fraud isn’t it proper that the president removes himself from office after all what’s good for the goose 🪿 ( fed governor) is good for the gander 

 Oh the hippo 🦛 of it all. I’m sorry 😢 I mean hypocrisy of it all.

 Ah the good old days of Air Travel in the United States, there were two Major Airlines  Pan Am and TWA and to lesser extent DELTA, that almost everyone look up too. All other airlines had a hard time competing against them. Today they no longer exist.

 Not that long ago Russia and the United States and to a lesser extent China are the countries that you just didn’t mess with, militarily and to some extent economically.

 Like Pan Am and TWA the U.S. and Russia has become arrogant and it appears to this no nothing blogger the U.S. and Russia are in the same position that Pan Am and TWA were in  with air travel

 After the last census New York States in all its political wisdom gerrymandered the state that it would be extremely hard for the Republicans. They would in all probability have lost several seats in congress. Now the courts in all it’s wisdom said No no no you can’t do that, so it was back to the drawing board the change of districts went. Now Texas has decided to do the same thing except of Democrats stopping Republicans it’s vice versa. So let us see what the courts are going to do?

 Win a car on a game show in America and you pay the retail price of said car even if you bought the car the price would less. Now I’m bewildered as to why those CEOs who get stock as pay seems not to pay taxes on it. Don’t seem fair to me.

Every body talks about affordable housing in NYC but no one goes back to the future in the discussion of affordable. 

 Why in the depression and even later, there was no housing for the poor. Well the government came up with a solution. The solution was let’s build housing for the poor. The housing that they built is called the projects. Do you think that projects could be built today? Well do ya?

 In the mid 1950s there was a middle class movement out of the city’s in New York State so the state legislature passed a bill enabling limited profit housing (rental and co ops). This legislation was called Mitchell Lama. 

 I don’t hear from the mayoral candidates talking about revitalizing these programs. Maybe I’m missing something?

 In Lower New York State no one wants a casino near them, yet everyone wants the revenue and taxes they create!

 The current president of these United States had two operatives named Steve who were head and shoulders above what the Democrats had. These two operatives are named Steve Bannon and Steve Miller. What makes these two’s Steve’s so good is they listen to the people and show them what they want to hear. They also knew the fears and prejudices of the majority of the American people and they exploited them. They did a much better job the those in charge of the Democratic machine.

 Hmmm. When I look 👀 up at the sky I think 🤔 I’m really looking 👀 down. The sky that I see when I look 👀 up is the same sky that Argentinians see but it looks a little different, ya 🤔 think. If I’m exceedingly lucky I may actually look at it in three Dimension, when in all probability the universe is in a fourth dimension, more then up, down and width .

Steve’s Barking; Why is the Trump administration helping China 🇨🇳

 The Trump administration has threatened to have military intervention in much of America. Now these countries don’t want the U.S. military in the country. Who are they going to call, no other than China. 🇨🇳 You may say well why would they call on China, well China is not threatening them and they have to protect themselves.

 The U.S. talks about the Chinese threat yet by their foolish actions it is really helping China militarily.

 I have read the U.S. Constitution and guess what the President of the United States is acting in a way that the Constitution doesn’t say, in fact it says just the opposite. Will the President get away with it? Well if I was a betting man I would  say the odds are 75% he will even if the courts of the United States say no. 

 What’s with trade agreements? The U.S. has trade agreements with most markets in the world, the American illegal Tarrifs aren’t part of them.

 What about Russia and the treaties they signed with the former members of the Soviet Republics, it seems like if Russia doesn’t like something they are doing they just ignore the treaties. Possibly even invade them.

 There are probably hundreds of examples of what countries are doing that they have written documents that say nope that’s not the way it is.

Steve’s Barking; Comparing the present day United States to the late 60s Yankees

 The United States in my lifetime was the envy of all the nations of the world. The New York Yankees in the early part of of my life was the envy of the baseball world. . Until  1965 the Yanks as they are called could be counted to be a contender in the American League every year. The were so good that CBS ( the supper television network ) decided to buy them. The Yanks would have so much money that it would be extremely hard for other teams to compete. But and this is a big but, mismanagement destroyed the Yanks. Now getting back to the United States, the envy of the word by economic standards and by fairness for its citizens, and democracy. This is all changing because of mismanagement of the government. The U.S. by the next few years will be looking up in envy to much of the rest of the world.

Steve’s Barking; Know your enemy Social Security!

 In the not so distant past, there were signs that said know your enemy. Now as I recall they were a warning of the United States about communist countries. Well I being a Social Security recipient have a warning about Social Security to all my fellow recipients of Social Security.

 The Social Security trust fund is running out of money, and because it’s running out of money it has become a pay as you go system. It has never been truly a pay as you go system as payers and there employers put their money in a trust fund that acted like a bank as it lent money out that earned interest. The money that it lent out was to the federal government which borrowed it at lower interest rates then the government would have to pay if it went out and borrowed from the general public.

 Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer workers replenishing the trust. This has led to the understanding that in the judgement of of the trustees of the trust fund that this will lead to in the not so distant future the recipients will only get back 79 cents on the dollar that was promised.

 There are many people who claimed m that they know how fix this problem., including upping the retirement age, have a cut off of income of who is eligible to receive benefits from Social Security, make those who make over a certain amount pay social security tax on that amount.

 There are several groups who mistakenly call Social Security a pyramid scheme. And there are even people who point out ( wrongly) that if you had put this money a money market account you would have a lot more money.

 Now why would I say know your enemy to those who depend on Social Security. Who and what is the enemy?

 If you don’t know your enemy, the question is how are you going to fight for your rightful Social Security.

 The main enemy of Social Security is ignorance. How many people realize that the Social Security trust fund is a bank.

 The enemy of Social Security is trying to equate that Social Security is part of a three legged stool, for having never read the original bill and the right of those governments ( city, state and federal ) not to be part of the system if you gave a adequate pension.

 An enemy of the Social Security system is those who either want to take retirement money and claim to invest it taking a chunk for themselves.

 An enemy the Social Security system is those who hate the government and claim that the government only steals the money from the people and it’s a. Socialist scheme.

 An enemy of Social Security are the clams that it’s a pyramid scheme.

 An enemy of Social Security is the many fixes that are being proposed because with s many ideas none in all probability will pass.

 My personal fix for Social Security is to have no cap on FICA.

 Don’t   increase the amount given out except for COLA for a least two years until the trust fund is secure after the end of the cap.

 The United States has put a ridiculous tariffs on Canada 🍁, this after the President of the US threatened to annex them.

 Canada being pissed off decided to burn a lot of it’s timber( which it has lots and lots of ) to pollute the air  of it’ neighbor to the south, making the air the citizens of the United States hard to breath.

 To me money 💰 is something I need to survive and the extra money that I have makes life a little more pleasant 😃.

 Ah put as I look around I see some supper dupper rich taking pride in being the richest  person, and if they are not that is their goal 🥅. Now there are even people who know that they will never be the richest person in the world but they take pride in being a billionaire and threaten anyone who suggests that they are not as if being a billionaire is a prize 🏆 unto itself. 

 Now personally I wish all these person who prize being supper rich all the luck in the world 🌎, though I feel sorry 😢 for those who believe lots of money is a prize, there supper money I reason help this lower middle income person survive 🤔.

 Let’s tax the supper rich. It’s evil that one person should have so much wealth as a billion dollars or more. That being said by many in the world today. Of cause one takes a closer look at these supper dupper rich you realize that the reason that they are so, so rich is because they are on top of stock and or real estate pyramids. Who is in the middle and the bottom? Why us poor slubs who worked or are working and have our retirement tied to the stocks that these so called super rich get their wealth from stocks  and possibly from real estate. Now if we if really go after the super rich are we really hurting future and present day retirees?

 Now ai hear on the boob tube and the boob internet pretty well off people complaining that there should be no billionaires and tax the rich but not the lower rich such as themselves, not realizing that they are actually suggesting on hurting retirees, present and future.

Steve’s Barking: Reducing Drug Prices by Charging More

 WTF, who said that the American consumer is going to be charged more. After all, didn’t the President of the United States said he was going to reduce drug prices. But and this is a big but he is putting a huge tariff on drugs produced outside the US of A and let me guess he believes that the pharmaceutical companies and or the drug stores will absorb the cost.🤣🤣 Having a tariff on a product in no way, shape or form will reduce the price of drugs, and of cause the price of those drugs will be much cheaper in the countries that manufactured them. 

Steve’s Barking; Don’t understand Tariffs ?

That’s me, I hear that the US won the illegal ( Tariffs are a tax and American constitution plainly states that only congress can tax)tariff war with Japan. The added price to Japanese products will in most cases be 15% more , now wouldn’t the same product made in America if it’s made of steel be the same or more then the Japanese product. Now that being said I really don’t know the amount of steel and aluminum that goes into say cars, but it appears to this goofy blogger the biggest losers are the American consumer. 

 Let’s say that a Chinese product couldn’t or isn’t produced in the good old US of A how much would Chinese manufacturers lose 5% 15% 25% of there normal sales in the U.S. again the biggest losers wouldn’t be the Chinese manufacturers but the American consumer. Foreign manufacturers can make estimates on how much they are going to lose in sales, but they are only estimates.

 Now if the American consumer has to pay more for products, I would think that would lead to a shrinkage in the work force leading to a downward spiral, ya think of the gdp.

 It seems to me I don’t know much about tariffs because it makes no sense to me. Because foreign sellers of goods might lose some business but it’s would only be a guesswork, but definitely the American consumer would be hurt hard.

Steve’s Barking; Let’s build up American manufacturing by making it more expensive to manufacture

 Because of much higher tariffs on imported  steel aluminum and copper the price of manufacturing in the United States is going to cost 1 and 1/2 times more then what it should. Can the manufactures afford to build new and improved facilities? If not will the United States be a second or third class manufacturing hub?

 Now if I had anything to do with it I would eliminate tariffs on Steel, Aluminum and copper all together at least pay the tariffs back to the manufacturers who need to build new and or upgrade existing plants plus a little incentive, perhaps in the form of monetary help.

 ( monetary help to build factories, what am I, an old commie?)

 Does the United States have more the 2 major political parties? The reason I use the word major is because the United States has numerous minor political parties.

  Ow let’s get to the part as to why I’m writing does the United States have a ( major ) third party? Of cause it does. It goes under the heading of MAGA which of cause took over the old Republican Party, because it got too old, just as the so called Democratic Socialist think they can take over the Democratic Party.

 Now this isn’t anew phenomenon The federalist were taken over and split by the wigs and the Democratic Republicans morphed into the Democratic Party in them olden days.

I may have gotten my facts a little twisted but the general idea is 100% correct.

 There is an old man who lives in a White House who every other day says that he is going to throw 20% no 30% tariffs on the rest of the world not realizing that the rest of the world is getting bored with his antics and started find new trading partners. When and if the new higher tariffs are set in play the rest of the world besides the stock market is going to yawn.

Steve’s Barking; Why should foreign governments worry about American tariffs?

 The crazy blogger is at it again. 

 Mexico, the EU counties, S American counties and Canada and Asian counties will in all probability be selling less of their goods because of the cost of their goods to the American consumers will go up. Now the American consumer who had it good, (no had it great)will have to in all probability cut back. 

 Now you may ask how the heck is this good the trading partners. Wellll American trading partners will have to figure out ways to enhance trade with each other and my guess is that in less then one year the majority of goods that they are manufacturing will be sold with the opening up of trade among the rest of the world.

 Oh of cause I doubt that the United States will be able to build and repair their old manufacturing base because of the rising costs and the lack of steel and aluminum and now copper because of the brilliant tariffs that my government is set to impose.

 Do ya think maybe US tariffs may be a lot worse for the United States than its’ trading partners? Do ya?

 I know that it’s hard to understand but by stationing troops all over the world that creates a trade imbalance. Think of all the money that is going out of the American coffers into the hands of foreigners.

 If the United States were to pull out of NATO Putin could save face and possibly end the Russo Ukraine war.

 My question of the day ( I know the Answer) is stationing troops overseas an import or an export?

The reason I’m asking this question is that most people have a hard time with balance of trade statistics!

 The U.S. is currently in economic distress. How do I Know? The Arm forces have already filled there recruitment goals and that only happens when there is hardship in finding jobs.

 Me being not well in the head I decided to check the Bureau of Labor Statistics for June of the past four years.

In June 25 the US added 147,000 jobs

In June 24 the US added 147,000 jobs

In June 23 the US added 209,000 jobs

In June 22 the US added 147,000 jobs

Now under my thought process it would seem a little odd that 3 of  the past 4 years ( Is it really possible) had the same amount of jobs added to the economy.

It’s possible that I miss read the statistics, so if anyone is curious they can check up for themselves.

When I compare ADP with the labor departments Job statics I don’t report that ADP counts only private sector jobs and not public sector, which include state and city workers.

 Now as I recall in NYC local government has summer Jobs’s that would be filled in June and I assume that other areas of the country are the same, so maybe we should disregard June Jobs statistics altogether?

 Ah Steve’s barking just was offered a bribe by the Trump government. Me and other seniors, especially those on Social Security. Ha ha ha the reader may ask, well under the Trumps big beautiful bill many of us will get a nice tax breaks, higher deduction on standard deduction. Least we forget no tax in many of us old  people on our Social Security. Now how the heck can this crazy blogger say that this is a bribe? We’ll it’s not permanent so in order to keep this the thinking maybe that us older people tend to vote more then the younger citizens and in order to keep these tax deductions the administration may think we older Americans will vote for the Trump party,

 Oh my goodness ADP jobs report that the United States lost 33,000 jobs. Ah but the labor department whose employees that owe their  jobs to the Federal Government put on a happy face and said that the United States gained 147,000 jobs.

 Ah yes in the good old US of A there is a movement that says there should be no billionaires. I personally don’t care if there are billionaires or even trillionaires This is from a guy not a hundred thousand net worth,or for that matter half that. 

 Why may you ask don’t I give a rats behind that there are people who are worth billions upon billions and there are people who are living in the streets who aren’t worth two cents.

 Well I have a pension and that pension like all pensions are invested.And you all can say that there are people invested in their retirement by having a 401k and an IRA and they are invested in those stocks and real estate of those billionaires.

 Unfortunately stocks and real estate trust are pyramids and the super rich are at the top of the pyramid.

When they do well my pension and the savers for retirement are doing well and in my eyes there is nothing wrong with that and in fact it’s a good thing.

 We could even tax those millionaires and billionaires on their assets over a million dollars to help shore up Social Security.

Steve’s Barking: The true cost of prescription drugs, this idiot wants to know

 What is the true cost of medication after all I just paid $3.75 for a prescription at my pharmacy or was it? I pay $175 a month for my health insurance plus Medicare which I have been paying into since the 60s. So  I reason that the cost of my prescription is more then the $3.75 that I just paid. Now between Medicare and United Health they can bargain with the drug companies to lower the price, but I’m still paying more than the $3.75.

 Now we here in the States look at the European countries and say that the same drug that I just bought would be free or perhaps 25 cents. Realty, doesn’t the European governments leave a high tax and part of that tax is to pay for health care? Well if you take into account the money that the Europeans pay in taxes and what their governments take out to pay for healthcare and part of the payment in healthcare pays for drugs, I don’t believe you can say that the drug I just got was free or a lot cheaper then the people of the United States pay.

 During the 1977 World Series Howard Cosell  proclaimed the Bronx is burning.🔥 

 Certain areas in the borough I currently live actually burned.  Why was that.

There are several reasons. The most prevalent reason is that the landlords couldn’t afford the mortgage and or the upkeep of the apartment buildings. Some just abandoned the property and the people who lived there started fires 🔥. The other possibility is that many of the landlords burned their own apartments down for the insurance money 💰 .

 The reason I bring this up at this present day is there is talk of a government insisting of a rent freeze. Will we again in NYC again lose our housing stock because landlords can’t afford their apartments.

 Despite what every Tom, Dick and Harry election experts are saying Zohran Mamdani is not the mayor of  NYC just quite yet. He didn’t quite win the Democratic primary. Let’s just say that if he didn’t get any votes other then first place another candidate can sneak in because of rank choice voting.

 Don’t forget that the general election is in November and the current mayor Adams, Andrew Cuomo are running on independent slates, and least we forget the Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.

 In my time we have had three Republican mayors ( Lindsay Giuliani, and Bloomberg).

Steve’s Barking; Please U.S. no boots on the ground in the war between Iran and Israel ( the Israeli’s should say)

 I’m going to say something that those who are supporting Israel might say is heresy but Israel should plead with the U.S not to send troops to help fight the Iranians and that includes pilots in U.S aircraft. It is a war between two countries in the Middle East and to get American arm forces help would make Israel subservient to the United States in the near future. It would also in the eyes of the countries in that part of the world make them think that Israel is a vassal of the United States, thus weakening the standing that Israel may have.

 Now if Israel was to ask the United States not to send services men to help in their war with Iran it should be a feather in the cap of President Trump. * He kept America out of war as he promised. It would modify both the pro Israeli members of his party because Israel asked not to send U.S. arm forces and it would modify the other ( America first crowd ) in his party.

* I am praying for peace ( Ever lasting peace) between Iran and Israel. 

   It is my understanding from, people who know Iranians that most Iranians are not anti Jewish ( I use the term Jewish because most Arabs are semites). 

   It is also my belief that the trouble in that part of the world is those trying to prove who is the better Muslim, Sunni, Shite and the various factions of each Muslim sect. To prove that they are the better Muslim sect will try to claim that they pushed the Jew out.

 I also pray that there will be acceptance of Jew and Palestinians with no more bloodshed.

Steve’s Barking; Paying for your job 🙀

 We in the United States think that we get a job to make money 💰. But there are many of us who pay 💰 good money to get a job that in the short run will pay us good money. I use myself as an example . The second job I got apI paid an agency to help me get it. I went to a trade school that I paid money for to help me get a better job . I went to a University that Uncle Sam helped pay for to get an even better paying job.Now I’m not the only one who does this. I imagine that a vast majority of my countrymen did and are doing similar things to help get a better paying job and thus the money that was payed out is well worth the reward 💲after a short period of time. But there is one group of people that are constantly payng out big bucks to get a job that doesn’t in the long and short run pay nearly what they paid out….These people call themselves Congress  persons, Senators and President.  A lot of these people call themselves conservatives. Go figure?

 Going back to the future, there is a group that call themselves America first. They are Republicans, Now if history serves me right there were a group of Republicans just prior to WWII who called themselves America first (let’s make up a new word firsters )  These new firsters  say let’s stay out of the war in Central Europe, let’s stay out of the war in the Middle East. Now I’m not one who believes that my country should get involved in wars all over the globe, and I think it would be foolish to send even one troop to get involved in conflicts that don’t really involve us. The problem with the firsters they blame the victims. 

 The problem with the firsters is we were the ones who started NATO and our European partners feel threatened by Russia. The firsters don’t seem to think that Russia is a threat? Or do they, they just think that it’s not our problem 

 We help with the creation of Israel but so what. The firsters think that we should abandon her ( or at least many of them do).

 Now a lot of the firsters seem to think that China is a menace, that doesn’t seem very fair of them of there really against America going to war is it? But to be fair there are many firsters who would  not protect so one if they were invaded.

 Who knows what the president will do for every single day he changes his mind one second he’s a first second second he claims he will unleash the power of the United States on those countries that displease him (depending on what side of the bed he got up on). The exception is Russia.

Steve’s Barking; Deficit is it really a bad thing?

 The US is running a huge . Is it just my imagination or does it seem to be doubling every few years. Well, one of the reasons it seems to this foolish blogger is because the country needs financing that we refused  to do by raising taxes ( taxes the very unpopular thing that governments do to finance the state). We needed the money I presume to help the citizens survive during Covid. We’re running a deficit by the reduction of taxes.

 When I look at the government deficits I ask myself when a human buys a new car and finances it what kind of deficit does that person hold against that person’s income and or savings. What about buying a home that is financed, what kind of deficit is that person running ? What about the person who runs credit card debt, isn’t that a deficit.

 Personal debts in the mind of this crazy blogger seems to be on par with the national debt, and perhaps in this modern era large debt ( deficits) is a need to survive.

Steve’s Barking; The strange case of the Iranian Israeli conflict

 I know I really should be making any comment about the conflict that is happening between Iran and Israel.especially when I ask the question is it really just between Iran and Israel? I just don’t understand that why didn’t Iran know that Israel was going to bomb them, for crying out loud the United States told them. And just how good is Israel intelligence that it knew exactly were the head of Iran’s nuclear program was. Oh and it also knew where the top generals of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard were..

 Now I pretty sure that a large percentage of Iranians hate the revolutionary guard, perhaps even top officials of the guard themselves helping the Israeli’s get their enemies and perhaps encouraging the Israeli’s to attack Iran and eliminate their (rivals) enemies. Is Iran that regressive against it own people. Was there an anger at the top nuclear scientist by some Iranians that had some power and knowledge of what was happening. Is there really a great animosity against the rulers of Iran by much of the Iranian people, which might be the root of the bombing.

 I just have this crazy thought that those who want to overthrow the present regime in Iran are using the IDF to do their job for them.

 The Israeli government may need this conflict to help them stay in power because it’s been over a year and a half that hostages were taken and a large portion are unaccounted for and that doesn’t look good for the the government.

 I kind of believe that there is a conflict of Muslims between themselves in the Middle East and in Israel among its citizens.

Steve’s Barking; The need to lower the age of Social Security 🤪

 Now this crazy blogger is suggesting that there is a need to lower the age of Social Security. Is he crazy 😜 ! All the know it all say that Social Security is running out of money. Now a lot of these know it all’s claim that one way shore up the Social Security trust fund is to raise the age of Social Security ( if you believe that I have a bridge I want  to sell you). Now me, this crazy blogger is saying that we need to lower the age to of Social Security. Why the reader may ask? Because if you believe that what a lot of those whom reported in the know say that AI is going to take much of the jobs that are being done by humans, and the fact of the matter is we need to have income to buy the products that AI is producing ( Think 🤔 of WAMO and Tesla autonomous cabs).

 Now what are us humans in the U.S. supposed to do for money to use the products that AI is producing (that includes taxi drivers).

 One of the ways this crazy 😝 blogger is suggesting is to lower the age of collecting Social Security.

 Now you may ask yourself how are we going to pay for Social Security. 🤔How about lifting the cap so that all income wage income is taxed and If that’s not enough how about taking a 1/2 of 1% on all capital gains.

 It looks like America has entered the phase of the destruction of democracy. You know how the Nazis took over Germany. Any how the President of these United States has ordered the California national guard to come in and quell a minor disturbance of some foreign nationals refusing to leave the country because they came into the country illegally. Now the national media (pretty much controlled by the government) is making the disturbance seem like a big deal.

 I expect that there will be a lot more disturbances as the summer gets hotter, blamed on the so called left (progressives, socialist, anarchist, or what ever). That way the central government can call Marshall law, there by ignoring the rule of law and have control by the current bureaucratic government in Washington to do what ever it wants.

 Oh the disturbances will actually be instigated by the infiltration of the so called left wing protesters by those who want total control of the government.

 Here we go again ADP claims new jobs in May 2025 was 37,000. On the other hand the Labor Dept claims that there were 139,000 new jobs in May.

 In the United States, that has been discrimination against Hispanics women Black people. So the government in all wisdom has decided or had decided it might be a good idea to diversify the workforce. But what has to  be looked at is whether the government in its infinite wisdom did just the opposite and has actually discriminating against qualified people. Corporations and the government itself looks too hirer people to meet it’s quotas and in many cases hires, less qualified, and in some cases, unqualified persons just to meet quotas. One can say this hiring is reverse discrimination.

 Unfortunately, this government has created resentment among many white men who feel that they are more qualified than those who were hired. This may not be true, but it’s the perception of many white men of which they become bigots raising their ire against Hispanics women and blacks American Society. Possibly DEI has done just the opposite of what it was meant to do.

 I have got to ask myself how can we as a society hire  the most qualified person and make those who have been left out of hiring practices because of their gender or how they look equal to if not better then.

 I ask myself just how we can make more individuals qualified and make the populous believe that the most qualified person is doing the job?

 Do some women , persons of African descent and of Hispanic origin hold resentment that they are perceived as not qualified and that they only got their job because of DEI.

 Even though the Trump government is sagyng DEI is unlawful I’m still giving my opinion on it.

 In modern times it seems that we measure intelligence by someone’s IQ. But, and this is a big but the person with the high IQ is generally not sharp on everything, while there are a small number of autistic persons who are superb at certain subjects that they flat out understand the most complex things of this life that some of the best teachers of that subject have a hard time understanding and explaining.

 It seems to this crazy blogger that the courts are trying to save the Trump presidency by saying guess what the tariffs are null and void because of this irrational thing called the constitution. How may you ask would this save the Trump administration? Well Tarrifs are this here inflationary thing that are hurting the American consumer and because they are inflating the price of goods that our businesses would need n all likelihood lay off people or go out of business hurting what people see as our commander in chief hurting them, they may not take too kindly in their minds to the president and his supporters in the Republican Party. 

If the Pres was smart he would blame the courts for holding his administration back when in reality the courts are helping him from hurting the American people making many of those who at one time loved him, pissed off at him.

 I’m bewildered! In my old age I am confused as  to what a country is! Is it the land? Is it the people who live on the land? Is it just a conglomerate of tribes? Is it a combination of these. 

 Looking at the Middle East one would have to say that it’s kind of tribal.

 Looking at the Russo, Ukrainian war it’s land, the leadership doesn’t seem to care about its people.

Looking at the United States, it’s seems  to be a kind of tribalism, with one tribe combine with other tribes to run the country from other tribes. It also seems like threats for a land grab, and a disregard for many of the people.

 Is it just me, but what happened when you want to see your favorite home town team on the television. What channel is it on. Is it on the channel that generally shows the team. Is it on a channel that one pays for to watch your team? Is it on a special channel, that you have to pay extra for and there are so many special channels like , prime, Apple TV, Paramount Plus. Let them American consumers pay and pay.

 What happened to college sports were in some instances the athletes make more money playing for college teams then they do plying for professional teams. That’s not the worst of it, because the athletes change team so frequently it’s almost impossible to have a cohesive unit because you don’t know if your freshman will stay with you as a sophomore and a sophomore will go to another school in their junior year?

 While I’m upset with the state of American sports, and it’s taken much of the joy I had for sports most of my life. I’m against regulations for sports, even college sports after all I’m a free enterprise person.

 This intrepid blogger did a tiny bit of research and it appears that the tariffs that the U S placed place on China  is on 5/11/25 is pretty much the same as they were before the president had Tarrifs placed on China of 135% or was it 145%, it was so long ago and no one could afford them. Any how I didn’t check to see  if China had the same restrictions before the tit for tat. It probably was. Now if you ask me and no one has it was kind of for domestic mental consumptions

Well, Wall Street screwed up, the next two months because there is a major deficit of merchandise coming from China, U S firms are going to take a direct hit, and by the time things may get back to normal, new threats of tariffs will be coming out.

 In the mean time there is a good chance that China will find new markets and find new merchants ( non US) to sell it what it needs, especially food products.

 What is a better way to punish a country, Tarrifs that is government controlled or boycott which many Europeans and South Americans perhaps will be doing to US products.

 Revolution, what is it good for? ( War, what is it good for?) Absolutely nothing!

 Now that’s not entirely true. After all my country came out of a revolution and many a country became better because of a result of the people. But and this is a “big” but the turmoil that comes out of successful revolts can and in most cases especially in modern times make one  wonder. I’m looking at Libya, and the insanity there. I’m looking at many African nations and the insanity they have. ( yea I know Libya is an African nation) . I’m looking at the United States and the mini revolts that took place after England gave it  its freedom. I’m looking at a free Russia that had a second revolution after it overthrew it’s Czar  and the turned into a dictatorship. I looking at the Chaos  that happened after the French Revolution.

 I’m hopping that there will be stability in Syria now after the Assad regime was toppled. I’m also hoping that stability will come to Libya. That countries in Latin America come with peaceful prosperity. The same is true with countries in Africa., as well as the poorer countries in Asia.

Now that might not be the worst thing in the world if we are running out of resources and running out of jobs due to Artificial Intelligence The fact of the matter it may be even a necessary evil that the birth rate is on the decline for the survival of the planet. The major problem how do we employ or at least pay those who are not as necessary to do the work?

The Federal Reserve can not bring down inflation, because the last inflation and the inflation in the near future are self inflicted. The best the Feds can do is lower their interest to next to zero and “hope” that it will encourage banks to lower their interest rates so that entrepreneurs can borrow to build factories that would produce a greater amount of goods thereby lowering their cost of products.This can no happen in less then five years if at all. 

The Fed can not produce goods, period and the lack f goods is what is driving this inflation .

 It seems to this intrepid blogger that making things in the U.S. of A doesn’t bode well for the employment rate. Now it appears to me that in the 70s, when you might say was a peak in American manufacturing the unemployment rate in America was worse then when we turned into a service and consumer economy.  Oh crap, the ADP jobs report show only 62,000 new jobs in April and the department of labor 177,000 new jobs created. A discrepancy of over a 100,000 new jobs. Whom do you trust? A labor department who employees are fearful about losing their jobs, or a company that has a limited survey?

 Ah yes this crazy blogger has a couple of  off the wall ideas to have an armistice between Russia and Ukraine.

 (1) Why not have Crimea be a sovereign country for at least ten years with free trade between both Russia and Ukraine.

 (2) Have a free trade agreement between Russia and Ukraine.

 (3) Ukraine can join the EU for trade and monetary reasons but would not join NATO nor any military alliances.

 (4) Russia can use Odessa as a port and the Black Sea as a an open water way.

(5) The land area should belong to each country as before the conflict.

 (6) A non aggression pact should be signed.

 (7) 10 Years after the Armistice there should be a plebiscite as to if the Eastern Ukraine wants to stay with Ukraine or join Russia.

 There is a major down turn in factory production in China because of American tariffs. Well because China is a so called* communist country it can pay its later off workers enough to survive and to buy internal goods without worrying too much about outside forces. As far as goods that it receives  from the U.S. such as food stuff it can buy that in trade with other countries while eventually selling much of the excess goods it produces in the long run.

 Scientists tells us the Neanderthals lived a very short time, the average age of the Neanderthals lived to 35, and we in the most model societies  live almost to our 80s. Now the Neanderthals did have the modern stress that we have now, they ate healthier, all natural food with no preservatives.

Steve’s Barking:It looks like Russia won the war with the U.S. without firing a shot

  I maybe crazy but we’re I’m sitting it appears that Russia has infiltrated the US, even as far as the presidency. They are dancing in the streets in the Kremlin figuratively because the president of the United States and VP are doing their best to give the Kremlin everything it wants . Telling Ukraine that it has to give to Russia all the area that it took when it invaded. It is telling Greenland to become part of the U.S. or at least a be Owen by the U.S., stating that we needed it for our protection against China ( I’m trying to figure that one out and Russia even though it part of the Netherlands (which is in NATO) and we have troops there. Now these crazy blogger thinks the only country that the U.S. owning Greenland is Russia. Now I’ve been told that the only country not having additional tariffs on it is Russia, hmmm , strange things are happening,. The old nemesis of the United States is turning into its closest ally., though it may not seem so right away.

 The problem for Russia and the U.S. is that because of Tarrifs the rest and the threatening of the several countries the rest of the world will in all likelihood have to have new trade alliances and military alliances weakening the U.S. and Russia.

 It would not surprise this nut in the next year or two the Peoples Republic of China and Taiwan  come to some sort of an agreement.

 It would not surprise me if  the infiltration of the US by Russia blows up in Russia’s face , and it would only make the U.S. not a power but a weak link.

 It doesn’t take much to understand that Hamas ( or its allies) are holding kidnapped hostages and that Israel is going to continue annihilate the people of Gaza. If I’m not correct and if the holding of Israeli hostages is not a power a play and that Hamas true cares about the Palestinians in Gaza why isn’t there negotiations to end the death and destruction in Gaza to free the hostages and return the bodies of the dead hostages to Israel?

 * Does Hamas hold all the hostages?

 * Is there a power play among various Palestinian factions or Muslim groups?

 

** Would Israeli response to the cutting off of arms free from the rest of the world to them be more violent then what we see now?

 The best things in life are free but youn can give them to the birds and bees, give me money, that’s what I want. (Beatles)

 Looking at my inbox I see the please, please, please, give me money. No matter who in the Democratic Party sends me an E-mail and all the Email  ask for money. They may say that they want my opinion , but my opinion is no good unless I send them money.  A lot of the E-mail ask direct for money to fight the Republican  agenda, as though the money I send them is going to do any good in fighting the Republicans. Some ask for money direct to fight the Republican opponent that has not been chosen yet. And of cause I get E-mails from candidates far and wide who are running for office and the only thing they tell me about themselves is that they need the money to fight the Republicans not saying that they have a Democratic opponent. 

 Ah but if you think that I get request from Democrats only for money think again, I have have received several request in the mail (regular) for money from a conservative Republican whom I will not give his name.

 The past presidential race the Democrats had a quarter more  dollars then the Republicans, and if you include dark money the Democrats still had more money then the Republicans.

Steve’s Barking: Where have you gone Bethlehem Steel?

 Where have you gone Bethlehem Steel, the nation sends it lonely eyes to you.

  Now that we the United States has decided in our wisdom to put tariffs  on steel costing those who want to build new manufacturing plants an arm and a leg. We in the United States do not have the capacity to produce more steel. The Steel that we do produce is inferior then that produced in other counties for the reason that when the American Steel companies had the chance to upgrade their steel making factories to a more modern factories with the enormous profits that they were getting in the 50s and the 60s they didn’t do it.

 Now as I recall there was a lawsuit filed against the tariff that was on steel because the steel produced was inferior then those of foreign manufactures.

 Now as I also recall from one of the many college courses that I took, you lay tariffs to collect revenue and the other reason is to protect an industry, which at the present time the steel industry in the United States is just about at capacity so you are not protecting it.

* Bethlehem steel was a top notch steel company in the US that is no longer in business and the major steel company US Steel, steel making capacity is greatly diminished.

Steve’s Barking; America default? Maybe a self fulfilling prophecy?

 One keeps hearing about the deficit of the US government has and it’s true. But the problem is can we pay off our debt and if we don’t pay off our debt, can we still live off our taxes and continue debt? 

 One of America’s biggest problem is Social Security that has been underfunded and now we’re paying the money that is owed to the Trust fund. It doesn’t take a genius to understand that if America had eliminated the cap we wouldn’t have to worry until years in the future about paying off billions and more. 

 America is firing many of its government workers (even though they are firing workers who will not be receiving pensions) the pensions may not be able to cover all it’s obligations in the near future.

 America under the present administration is just about giving away it important assets such as timber and oil leases ( drill baby drill) 

When America goes into an economic decline of its labor force( recession ) the tax base shrinks, less money into the treasury.

 If there is less discretionary funds buying bonds and foreigners and governments not buying American bonds, another red flag.

 If the Federal Reserve doesn’t buy the old bonds an other red flag.

 

* All these things do not have to happen to have a default, and it isn’t the amount of debt that important, it’s the ability to pay.

 

Steve’s Barking; Reverse tarrifs

 Why not have a reverse Tariffs on all goods and services leaving a country. Holy hell Batman what a crazy idea. Why would anybody in his or her right mind suggest a tax on anything leaving a country? 

 To raise money, the real reason that Tarrifs was invented in the first place.

 I know, I know that there is a great belief that Tarrifs are a protection of goods from one country, but if you use your brain you might understand that Tarrifs are really an inflationary product. Just think of the United States getting cheaper goods then most the rest of the world relative to wages and benefits, plus the  fact that the U.S. a relatively low unemployment rate compared to most of the rest of the world, before the new tariffs were put in place and the threat of higher tariffs. 

 One doesn’t want to tax its citizens, so maybe a a not to high reverse tax may help reduce the amount that it’s citizens pay. It also isn’t an inflation ( cost of goods) to that country.

Steve’s Barking; Another look at American Tariffs and how it may effect countries

 How hurt will the world economies be hurt by U.S Tariffs?  It might not be as much as people think.

 Let’s say that China or for that matter any country normally sells a hundred units of a product to the United States, and the United States businesses buys that unit at a hundred dollars and there by sells unit at a hundred and ten dollars, let’s say the new tax on that product is 50 percent and is passed along to the American consumer, if the American consumer needs that product they will buy it at the higher cost. If the product is essential and there is very little that the American consumer can do to replace the foreign manufacturer will still sell that product in America though not as much. 

 I was thinking that possibly the foreign manufacturer will only sell maybe 70% of what they would normally sell the product that still 70 units. A country such as China can give incentives to the local consumers to buy the product there by not hurting the manufacturers as much as one would think.

* Much of what is being taxed can not easily be replaced by American manufacturers. It’s just the cost that may lessen the amount of those goods being sold.

 ** The results of the tariffs will not be seen until late June, early July to test my theory.

*** There are several high end products that may be hit harder then the lower end products.

Steve’s Barking: If the stock markets going down why is gold and crypto currency going down on 4/7/2025?

 If the stock market is going down gold and crypto currency should be going up, shouldn’t it? Were are the sellers of stocks putting their money? Are the sellers of bonds and crypto covering their shorts? Are they selling their safe havens to buy stocks which they feel are cheap? Or is there something else that’s a lot more scary?

Steve’s Barking; Will Tesla be around in 2035?

 Will Tesla be around in 3035 , ten years from now or will it go the way of the Rambler,and the Studebaker. As of right now people are pissed off at Elon Musk and that had put off people buy Tesla. Tesla’s Cyber truck is not delivering on the promise. New car companies and old car companies are manufacturing better and more modern cars. Its robots cabs are way behind Wamo and its self driving system is a joke. 

 Recharging systems from other companies seem to be faster then anything Tesla is putting out!

 Now I know that there are analyst who predict big things from its robotic division, of cause these analysts no jack about robotics, and judging from Tesla’s self driving cars neither does Tesla and for that matter they are behind in the robotics field.

 Musk’s AI and star link are not part of Tesla corporation, so even if they do well it will not help Tesla.

 So in conclusion, will Tesla be around in 10 years or will it go the of the Nash Rambler?

 When we talk about Immigration in the United States tend to talk about illegal immigrants from Latin American countries. We seem to forget how the Chinese were discriminated against in the mid to late 19 century. We seem to forget the prejudice that they faced how was the legal for the Chinese at one point to immigrate to the United States. We seem to forget about Catholic Germans who were tried to be a barred from coming to the United States because of the fictitious notion that they were ruled by the pope. We seem to forget how Italians were discriminated against and even the biggest mass Lynching in the United States was Perpetrated against the Italians in New Orleans. We seem to forget the discrimination of Jews during a civil war by general, Ulysses Grant( even though he apologized later in life) We also seem to forget the discrimination Of the Irish and the United States by the wasps, who, if they own businesses, would not hire them by saying the Irish need not apply.

 According to ADP there were 155,000 new jobs in March.

 According to the Department of Labor there were 228,000 new jobs in March.

 The Federal Government laid off 275,240 people in March.

 No mater how you slice it, there is a negative number of employment in March in the U.S.

 We the people of the United States believe in our constitution. Well this idiot took a look at the constitution the other day and I happen to notice that section8 of the constitution plainly states to lay and collect taxes duties are the province of congress .now my understanding is that the duty of congress to lay tariffs ( Webster dictionary states that tariffs are a tax). Well that being the case there is no way that the president by executive action can lay tariffs. Because congress isn’t doing its job and suing to do their job the rest of the constitution is in doubt. 

 I know there are constitutional lawyers who claim that e president is the chief executive of the U.S. ,  but no he doesn’t have the right to do things like lay taxes, or take action against other nations without the advice and consent of congress. 

 Because we don’t follow these simple written original parts of the constitution this crazy blogger states that we have actually round filed the constitution.

Steve’s Barking; China overtaking U.S in AI 🙀 ?

 Oh the crazy person is claiming China is overtaking AI ? 

 Impossible, look at all the “money” American firms at putting into research of AI America after all has the best chips. Look, at all the money that Americans are throwing at the chip makers that buy all the chips, the well placed sources are telling everyone that will listen that China has no way it can compete. Well this blogger has a different take on this, because China doesn’t have the best and fastest chips, it has to use non artificial weapons intelligence ( human) and as of this moment human intelligence is far superior than artificial intelligence for it has imagination that artificial intelligence’s intelligence doesn’t have.

 America by buying up all the chips, ( the best chips are limited) actually hinders the human brain and makes the company that buys them fat and lazy, not inquisitive as innovators should be.

Steve’s Barking; If fighting breaks out between Canada and the U.S. what side would England be on?

 What would happen if the U.S. would to invade Canada which as we all know is part of the British Commonwealth. Would England be forced to cut ties militarily with the U.S. and fight alongside of Canada?

 What would happen if the U.S. would invade Greenland which is part of Denmark’s commonwealth, would Denmark be forced to defend Greenland against the U.S. aggression?

 Because of the belligerent of the U.S. towards NATO nations NATO as is composed right now will cease to exist, which is bad news for Russia (WTF). The new NATO members are much more belligerent towards Russia, and there would be no country to hold them in line.

 This blog might just be a little hard to understand for those who have blinders on.

 Trump ( the president) is getting his way, like it or not. We’re going to find out if as I believe that tariffs are the destruction of American business or a boom to American business. That firing of government workers will bring the nation into a depression ( as I believe )or will give tax relief and reduce the deficit as the White House has been saying.If the crack down(?) on aliens will destroy growth potential of the United States ( as I believe) or will end lawlessness in the U.S. as the White House as been telling us. The president has pretty much getting his way and I expect that for the most part he will. The near future will tell us what the truth is.

  While making the U.S. self-sufficient is a worth ( Maybe) cause we aren’t calculating the other monetary costs that goes with it.

When the talk of American tariffs we put in the cost  of building new plants. Ya think  maybe the cost of building new plants or modernizing them is tremendous and the cost of the steel and aluminum would be 20 to 50 percent higher,

 What about the cost of training the workers to run the plant, does one honestly think that you can take someone off the street and run the plants. It takes time, and time is money.

 What about the cost of money of borrowing, even if th fed lowers it interest that it’s half of what it is now , the cost would still be huge.

 My gut feeling is that my calculations were not thought of when the tariffs were threatened.

 The winner of trade war is nobody…. The country that will in all probability come out best is China 🇨🇳 Of cause all the pundits will scream 😱 no way. Hmmm 🤔 well we’re can Canada 🇨🇦 sell its oil? We’re can Mexico sell it’s fruits and vegetables to? Can the U.S. consumer absorb the higher prices . Wait a minute, China has a Humongous market , China can also absorb much of what the EU can produce. Now in order for these countries to do business with the People’s Republic of China 🇨🇳 they will have to do some heavy negotiating as to except goods at a reasonable cost from the People’s Republic.

 Now what about my country, the good old US of A.Wouldn’t we become stronger if we become more self sufficient ? Well….right now we don’t have the manufacturing capability to replace what we’re using that are being tariff .Well we will need Aluminum, steel and natural minerals that go into the building of these major manufacturing plants. Oh I forgot to mention the cost 💲 of these manufacturing plants. Oh my did I forget to mention the cost of replacing the parts for our present manufacturing! Puff the money is going come from thin air? Yea right! Oh did I forget to mention we’re the manufacturers going to get the workers that they need for their plant’s. Maybe the laid off government workers? Wrong tool sets, ya think.

 There are some in the United States who are screaming about the so-called Oligarchy, just look at all those billionaires Entrepreneurs who attended the president inauguration. Steve’s Barking; What constitution?

 We of the US of A boast of our constitution. The problem with the constitution is that nobody understands  it, especially those who are there to enforce it. The original constitution before the amendments was written in away that if a person was literate in the 18century they would understand it. It was written as a job description stating what each branch of government was supposed to do. Now of cause some of the wise men of the late 18th century of  America felt that the constitution should have some protection for the citizens of the United States among other things that they proposed amendments. The first ten of these amendments that were adopted was called the bill of rights. I’m getting ahead of myself.

 The constitution plainly states that it is congress and solely congresses job to write tax code (of which tariffs are) The constitution also plainly states that congress has the right of treaties, and that executive order can not take the place of treaties.

 Members of congress should stop behaving like *welfare queens, and sue to do their jobs. The courts should behave like they are literate and ban the current president and all future presidents from issuing executive orders that are contrary to the constition.

 **.  I’ve looked high and low in the constitution and can’t find were the use of executive orders take the place of congressional action. If someone can find in the constitution, please let me know were.

 It’s that time of month that the Labor department releases its job report, this month it claims that 151,000 new jobs were created in February of this year. Not very good. Now of cause ADP released it job report of  77,000 new jobs were created, a really bad number. Almost half of the labor department’s estimates. Who’s more accurate? Who knows, these figures will be changed sometime in the future.

 In the 21st century because of technology one no longer has to be part of a network in order to entertain the masses. There is a cheap way to make money and that’s by pod cast.  Even those pod cast that inform or misinform a person an make money (a lot ) with little use or no use of the middlemen.

 There is no way in hell if you read the U.S. constitution that DOGE workers should be payed. Congress didn’t Authorize the payments to GOGE pure and simple.

 The United States says it was suspending deliveries of weapons to Ukraine!

 Several of the members of the EU and Great Britain are on the verge of if not in a recession!

 It’s common knowledge in most economic communities that the military industry helps bring a country out of a recession as did World War II helped the United States out of it’s depression of the thirties.

 Many of the European nations don’t like what Russia is doing to Ukraine, so why not help Ukraine with weapons, building up their military industrial complex, giving their work forces and their economies a shot in the arm, while not truly endangering their industries. 

It is my understanding that Western European weapons are almost if not equal to American ones!

*President Trump in his wisdom made Zelensky stronger in the eyes of his people, making it harder to end the fighting in my opinion.

Steve’s Barking; I fear for my country’s future for I know what I would do if I was President.of Mexico

 The country that I love, my country the United States May have just given China a major base in America, by way of Mexico. Now I maybe wrong and I pray that the Mexican President doesn’t think like me and she doesn’t do this, but I because her country doesn’t have an Air Force,I would invite China to set up airbases in her country as a deterrent against an arrogant neighbor to the North who has threatened my country With economic sanctions, etc.. Now there hasn’t been a military action in over a hundred years and we’ve had rather peaceful relations with each other but I would look to the North with some weary eyes, because my country has made threats against it’s other border neighbor Canada ( even if it’s in jest, it’s still a threat.)

In my mind if I was the president of Mexico I would welcome the presence of a foreign power country because of the belligerence of my neighbor to the north.

I really don’t know what Madam President of Mexico would do nor do ai know what China would do, but in my mind I think that that both countries would consider it very much.

* This may seem like just another incomprehensible blog, but I’m stating one of my  many fears for the United States.

 WTF happened to Conservative Republicans claim that the Federal Government should stay out the business of telling local governments how to run their affairs. Tell me why the federal government is telling NYC it must end congestive pricing! “ Is it that Donald Trump isn’t a true new conservative. Maybe the federal government should stay out of the business of RED states only .  Perhaps the conservatives are just a bunch of hypocrites or only conservatives when it comes to their own states.

* I wasn’t a fan of congestive pricing, but that’s definitely not the Federal Government’s business.

Steve’s Barking; It’s not rocket science, The US economy is going down the tubes

 You don’t have to know much about the American economy to know that it was in reasonable shape compared to what it going to be in 9 months or sooner. Hell when you cut jobs those people people don’t buy products. The makers of those products have to make money therefore they have to layoff workers, who in return have to layoff more workers. 

Oh least we forget many of those workers will not be putting money into the stock market, or the bond market , either as a simple investment or part of their retirement portfolio. Don’t you think retirement stability in one’s retirement portfolio will decrease. What about the price of borrowing, you think the price of borrowing would be higher making it unaffordable to borrow for most.

 Oh what about those who already have borrowed and no longer are working, what will happen to the banks? Will there be a shortage of money to borrow even if you wanted to borrow.

 The price of goods will also go up due to taffies and the consumer will not be able to afford what they can afford at the present time.

 You think that by cutting the size of government you would reduce the debt, well busters think again, it will only make the debt harder to pay, think, less workers, less tax payers, less money.

 Less money in circulation especially with consumers, the less is earned, the less that’s earned, the less taxes taken in.

The enemies the United States couldn’t have done better then to have the present government in place for the economic destruction of the United States

 I know that many would not buy a Tesla because of Elon Musk, well I’ll give you a better reason in my mind, how can you buy a car from a car maker that the factory workers are over worked and the quality inspection appears to be laxed as to spend as little as possible. One might say Tesla’s motto is safety last.

Steve’s Barking; Be careful of the undertow (current US economics)

 When you look at the water in the ocean to go swimming it looks peaceful but when you get into the water there is an undertow that pulls you out can even drown you.

 Why do I state this, to me it’s a metaphor of what’s happening with the economics of the United States and especially the stock market.

 At the present time things seem good, even though in the past several days the US stock market has fallen. 

 The UNITED STATES in its wisdom (stupidity) is laying off government staff thinking that it will reduce the debt. Looks good on paper unfortunately in real life it’s a disaster. Why do I say that? You taking money away from the people who buy stocks and goods and services. Less money in circulation at a time when the consumer is having trouble to pay its bills. What do you think is going to happen if the government workers can’t pay their bills. Will they stop buying because they have to conserve their money and those in the stock market have to sell. Do you think that maybe the stock market will go down? Do you think that maybe buying of goods and services will go down? Do you think That the lack ofbuying of goods and services by ex government employees will be hurt the economy? Do you think that maybe non-government employment will go down for the lack of purchasing by ex- government employees?

 Is it possible that that we in the UNITED STATES face a 10 to 20% unemployment rate?

 Is it possible that there will be a major shortfall of tax revenues making the American deficit will get even worse then it is right now?

 Do you think maybe laying off government employees is a very slippery slope?

 Oh my goodness VP Vance complained about the lack of freedom of speech in Germany because she of speech suppression of right wingers by the government, while his boss wants to suppress 60 minutes and the exaggerated in chief is suing advertisers for not advertising on his platform. There are threats to take the licenses of those broadcast companies that don’t parrot the line, and who say something negative about  the president. Oh and let’s not forget President law suits who sues every time somebody say a negative thing abut him. So VP Vance if your looking to complain about freedom of speech look at your own country and your boss.

 What the heck is the head of DOGE talking about. The exaggerated in chief says that he found money enough to give each taxpayer $500 or is it $5000 I can’t remember, any how, the exaggerated in chief says that he found enough money to give back money when the United States has more then doubled it’s debt. Now I maybe crazy 🤪 but don’t you think it would be wise to pay down the debt for future generations then temporarily pay a bribe to say how wonderful this administration is and still keep the same debt. Giving away money doesn’t seem very efficient to me.

 The U.S. is telling countries that were in my lifetime to be our friends, our partners, and even our lovers to kick rock. You can’t be independent, you must do as I say. If the United  States is so great it can take a little inequality from our weaker economic and defensive allies, if it’s just a mediocre power maybe you show it by bullying your friends and allies.

 Mediocrity in nations tend to show up by bullying, just look at Russia.

 Donald Trump seems to like mediocrity for he thinks that bullying is a sign of strength.

 Ah the good old days of my youth when I was a devout reader of Mad Magazine, especially spy vs spy. Well guess what the Cold War is supposed to be over, yet spy vs spy is still here today and we are figuratively blowing each other up. Ah but it looks like the Russians and the Chinese got the upper hand and the United States has been infiltrated in the highest parts of government and is literally blowing itself up. While there technically is no longer communist the old cold war nemesis still have the old mentality and infiltrated the government so that the United States is in a self destructive state.

 Oh 💩 The  United States debt is 35 trillion dollars, give or take a trillion. And oh my Children owns $800,000,000,000 of it give or take a billion. Oh my that’s less then they owned before the pandemic and when the U.S. debt was a 1/3 of what it is now. Oh my China’s going to bankrupt the U.S. Or at least that was what I heard from some so called experts.  

 The United States debt is out of control, just like the wealth of the tech billionaires. Just think the so called wealth of the tech billionaires quadrupled or more for some of those tech billionaires. Hmmm 🤔 I don’t seem to hear oh 💩 how can we sustain the out of control billions that are quadrupling. The experts don’t seem to be worrying about the pet rock assets worth going to the moon 🌙 and beyond.

 To be honest the real problem with the economy and the debt is the firing of government workers and the lessening of disposable income. When not if the U.S. goes into recession or worse taxes will not be paid , really weakening the ability to pay off the debt the government owes itself.

Steve’s Barking : At the office of Government inefficiency

 The United States in the past several weeks has created a new department. DEPARTMENT OF GOVERNMENT INEFFICIENCY or DOGI. The head of this Debacle is the greatest con man of this century. This con man claims that he found a 155 year old receiving Social Security, of cause he said this with out any proof. A whole group of people believe him. DOGI has hired some first time workers who have no experience in anything who may or may not totally destroy America by letting crooks and adversaries of this nation vital information. Ah but this is what we voted for. 

 In case you think I’m joking about the department of government inefficiency try getting in touch with Social Security in the near future. When the farmers need aid and they are slowed  by the inefficiency that become because the lack of workers.When the hospitals close down because they aren’t getting their Medicare and Medicaid on time and the same is true of Doctors who aren’t able to pay their bills.

 Most people I know complain about government red tape, now we’re really going to be stuck with it for the lack of people to process it. 

 What about when disaster strikes, and we need money to rebuild and there’s no one to give it to us because we become a cheep nation and not wanting to have people to process claims, Some people will say that’s a good thing, less money the government has to pay out.

 While I’m ranting about  government inefficiency, what about our the government arm forces, possibly having to go all over the world to intimidate those who don’t see things the president way. Are there really enough troops?

 Is the United States going to become the next Soviet Union for inefficiency or worse?
