They believe that DEI is an elite thinking and it probably the same with the affordable healthcare act and food stamps is an elitist thing even though almost all the Beneficiaries are anything but elite. 

 A lot of Trumpers in this crazy bloggers mind love the way the president talks in street language humiliating many perceived opponents. Many wish that they could do that themselves and a lot even do.

Steve’s Barking; Is the good American Healthcare system a thing of the past

 Because congress doesn’t want to do its job the American healthcare system will collapse! Just hw many patients will be.able to pay their medical bills. And just think how many doctors, nurses, physical health workers will not be paid? What about those prestigious, hospitals, and doctors who are gonna lose money because their patience will not be able to afford them.

No it’s not just those who can’t afford health insurance that will be effected by not government help, but also those who provide the services to them.

 This stupid Blogger (I must be stupid )  cannot for the life of figure how some one expect a peace prize by threatening other countries such as Canada, Greenland ( I want your land the Trump administration has said. Now the same administration has attacked innocent people in boats near Venezuela claiming they are drug smugglers, this being kind of war like.

 Well the Tump administration claims ( maybe rightly so ) that the administration has stop several wars, but even if that is true , threatening other countries and actually attacking ships is war like therefore I all true fullness’s that country leadership should be barred from any peace prize, or even talk of peace prize.

 The United States that I was taught was a nation of immigrants. That seems to be true but and this is a big but the immigrant wasn’t always welcome.. 

 In the beginning I am told that there was a land mass from Asia to what is now called the Americas and those in that part of Asia immigrated to the Americas.unfortunately many of the immigrants formed tribes and warred and enslaved one another.

 Ah but later on Europeans came to what was later called America. Now one of the places that Europeans settled in was mostly English. Now the mostly English didn’t got a little upset with British rule, so they had a little revolution which the settlers ( the people who came from Europe) which the settlers eventually won.

 Now even before the revolution the land that was eventually called the United States welcomed immigrants, some of which from Europe were only too happy to come to what was eventually called the United States and there were some that were from Africa who didn’t really want to come to this land but were forced to.

 Now it appears to this blogger before the U.S. became a country immigrants were welcome with opened arms. Ah but not to long after the New Nation of the United States was established there was anarchy in France and those in power in the United States wanted to keep their old allies out forming the first wave of anti immigrant sentiment in the United States.

 Now I’ve been told that in the 30s, 1830s that is there was a deep fear of German Catholics, that a whole political party was formed called the no nothing party to keep these persons beholding to the pope in Rome out. Of cause they didn’t succeed.

  Now I’ve also been led to believe there was a great deal of resentment toward Italian immigrants, including the mass lynching of Italians in New Orleans inn1891 ( the biggest case of mass lynching in the United States 

 Oh I can’t forget the great resentment of some blue blooded Americans ( English Decent ) against the Irish immigrants. 

 Oh I’m almost forgetting how a group of so called intellectuals tried to keep Slavic people by claiming that they were intellectually inferior and therefore should not be allowed into the United States.

 And then we had the red scare were anyone suspected of being a communist, socialist or anarchist not born in the U.S. was kicked out to their country of origin.

 Even Jews who were being so persecuted in Germany in the 1930s were kept out of the United Staes by quotas.

—-What this blogger is trying hard to say that even the United States which proudly proclaims is a nation of immigrants, through out its history there has been an anti- immigrant sentiment. One shouldn’t be bewildered by the present anti- immigration reaction now.

 Well complaining of too much government by Republican congressmen. There is too much government interference according to this blogger. Congress which Republicans are the main culprit goes against the natural order of what a government is supposed to do and that is protect the citizens of said nation, state, city and neighborhood. You would think that setting up a reasonable and affordable healthcare system would be part of their job. Oh that right they are part of American welfare system that gets healthcare paid by the taxpayer.

 President Trump has said that he is going to cancel all Biden’s executive orders done by auto pen. Well that’s kind of a slippery slope. (1) How are you going to prove with out a shadow of a doubt that Biden had executive orders signed by auto pen. (2) By canceling executive orders the administration is setting up a precedent that a president after Trump can cancel all Trumps executive orders by saying he was not in his right mind when he signed them or even that he was sleep deprived therefore his executive orders are null and void.

 Question of the day…..Why is Donald Trump scoffing at possibly one of the greatest achievements of the twenty-first century. 

 In case one is wondering what that it is that the first Trump administration did that was the greatest triumph so far in the Twenty-first Century, let me explain….There was a new and deadly virus called Covid 19. Before it used to take many years, even decades to develop a vaccine to fight, but under the presidents watch and go ahead a vaccine was developed that fought this new disease, that was unheard of. Now President Trump and his administration should be taken bows, but instead in his second administration he has hired many anti vaccination people to head the CDC, some of which even deny that the vaccination for Covid was a big mistake.

 That’s way I say that President Trump is scoffing at perhaps one if not the greatest achievement that an presidential administration can have.

 Well one of can say that President Donald Trump has over used executive orders that have been questionable and even go against the Constitution. Ah but he’s not the first as I do recall from my history books, even the great George Washington used executive orders. Now as I do recall Franklyn Roosevelt used executive orders to the extreme. Now as I do recall the the president before Trump Barack OBama was a little heavy handed on executive orders though I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure that President Biden used executive orders for some pretty silly stuff. 

 Now knowing what ( I think ) I know the current administration likes to take what has done to the extreme, even to the possibility of ignoring the constitution which the presidents before him skirted the constitution.

Not to long ago I would here that the Japanese had bought the United States after all the United States was running a humongous trade deficit with Japan and individual people and companies are buying up major US property and companies. Well, that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore for most of these companies and property seems to be back the ownership of Americans.

 Now not too long ago I kept hearing that the Saudi were buying up property and companies in the United States. Well, they may have some companies and a lot of property, but they don’t have that much cause most of America is owned by Americans.

 Not too long ago I kept hearing I have the Chinese buying up a lot of American farmland. No I don’t know what happened. Perhaps they still have a lot of American farmland but it seems I don’t know a lot of farmers are Americans that are selling their products to the Peoples Republic of China. What happened that the Chinese owned all this farmland?

I guess one can say the pendulum of ownership of America swings back and forth.

Steve’s Barking; Is the United States political system becoming what the founding fathers envisioned?

 If one listens to the so called experts say the Republican Party is splitting up. It may be because of the Epstein files. It maybe because of the tariffs. It may because one believes that that Republican Party is’t conservative ( what ever that means) enough. Some are mad at the party because it has too much government interference and that is not what they signed up for. What ever the reason it appears that the Republican Party is breaking up.

 Ah but what about the Democratic Party. There are many in the party that claim the leadership doesn’t care about the people. There is also many of the party that calls the so called left wing of the party communists and communism doesn’t work.There are many who think that like some Republicans that there is too much government interference. Others in the party state that while they claim that they are not socialist they think that there isn’t enough government involvement in every day lives.

 Now depending on which so called expert one listens too, the Republican Party is breaking up, or that the Democratic Party is breaking up. Now put them both together the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are both breaking up. Now wouldn’t it be great if each member of congress voted their Conscience. As I do recall from one of my history books the founding fathers didn’t Envision political parties. Ah but alas almost on day one the founding fathers of the United States went into two camps ( The Federalist and the anti Federalist) . That’s another story.

 

 Do I personally think that the two parties will break up or that there would be several major parties. Nah, the two party system is too engraved in the American way of political life, even though there have been major parties that have come and gone. Maybe there might be a little more crossing over and changing of ones party affiliation, maybe.

Steve’s Barking; The last time the U.S. pulled an amphibious assault was 1955

 The United States hasn’t pulled an amphibious assault since the Korean War. So what you may ask. Well the Pres of the United States implies that we may intervene in Venezuela because of drug trafficking ,and possibly go into Nigeria. Well the U.S. did intervene in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Didn’t the U.S. have bases near those countries and I’m pretty sure we don’t have bases near Venezuela and Nigeria so the United States would either have to parachute into these countries or go by sea. Now unless the U.S. takes over these countries 48 hrs after the troops have landed it would seem very hard ( according to me) to sustain the action because of Logistics , so the only possible way to fight in those countries is through an amphibious assault were they can replenish the troops with equipment and more troops. Ah but tge US  hasn’t had an amphibious assault since 1955. An amphibious assault not that easy, The US can easily lose several hundred troops killed or wounded and actually doing the job of protecting Christians in Nigeria and stopping drug smugglers in  Venezuela extremely difficult.l

 Being a curious Gus, I was wondering what if a retirement investor who let say had $1,000,000 in his retirement fund and after a short period of time suddenly found that his investment retirement fund only had $900,000 would he crash out of the market? What about the retirement investor that is close to retirement would he really panic if in 6 months he had lost 10% of value in retirement investments. What would, that do to the markets?

 There seems to be an idea that the President of United States wants to send troops and to Venezuela and Nigeria. In Venezuela, he’s complaining about fentanyl and in Nigeria he’s complaining about Muslim attacking Christians and he wants to send troops to protect them. I remember in the good old days a lot of times the good old USA would not send our regular forces in, but would send mercenaries or what we would call soldiers of Fortune. I’m not so sure sending forces from me US military is a good idea. Let’s get back to hiring mercenaries or soldiers of Fortune as I call them because  it might be a good idea not to get our hands dirty, and have a regular marines or soldiers get killed, named or captured. As I recall, sometimes soldiers of fortune do a better job than the regular armed forces. And even in Russia, didn’t the Wagner group do a better job than their regular forces in places like Syria and protecting their interests in Africa.

Now if I’m not mistaken in Europe there are several counties that have several political parties that claim to be Socialist and each has a slightly or not so slightly different agenda.

 In 1929 stocks were held to make money mostly by individuals. In 2025 stocks are also owned by pensions, and others who are holding for retirement as well as those looking for a quick buck. That being said that doesn’t mean that the stock markets might not crash or a panic might not happen, there is still a lot of borrowing in the market but the retirement industry is like a dike. Dikes do collapse some times.

Steve’s Barking; Does number 2 amendment to the constituent really mean freedom of citizens to own guns.

A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

 That is the exact verbiage of the second amendment. Now the first part of the sentence states right out front the reason.for the people to bear arms is because of the military. The is something even a third grader should understand. Now every Tom, Dick and Harriet looks as the second part of the sentence and says our founding fathers said that it is the right of all citizens to bear arms ( and the country has no right to limit the ownership of weapons,. Then these Tom , Dick and Harriet’s claim ( I have no idea were they came up with this, for all the history books I read it doesn’t say this) it is to keep the government honest and it’s a way to stop the government from overstepping it’s boundaries ( what ever that means) and stop the tyranny of government. 

 Now these persons ( and this is a humongous majority in the country) don’t explain the first part of the second amendment about the well regulated militia.

 Now I do recall from my history books there was a thing called Shay’s rebellion against the common wealth of Massachusetts and that the Massachusetts militia had to break into the armory to get weapons to fight the rebellion and the reason they had to break into the armory was because they couldn’t get in touch with the authorities in time. 

 Well perhaps that’s why we have the second amendment?

 Ah this foolish blogger has a crazy idea to end the monetary standoff that the government faces.. Simply put President Trump calls the leadership of both of the Democrats and Republicans and says I’m going to propose a plan to have congressional health insurance for all citizens of the United States. It will be paid for by slight tax on all businesses. That way, the Democrats cannot say that they’re holding up the budget the cost of healthcare. President Trump can then call it Trump care, keeping his pledge for healthcare for all the citizens of the United States that is better then Obama care( affordable healthcare act?🤔

 The cost of the business would be neutral or very slightly higher then what they are now paying for private healthcare  for their employees now? 🤔

Now one might ask why am I bringing that up in Oct 2025. Well the present day a lot of political pundits claim that the Democratic Party is dead because of the fractions in the Democratic Party.  Foolish me questioning if a company such as Tesla or any other company count debt against cash reserves

I would think that sending in the troops would be a self for filling prophecy and that the citizens of world to avoid those cities and those cities do become more lawless.

 Having troops in American Cities during a non violent time is the worst training they could get.

 Now I may not be the smartest guy on the block but it appears to me that the United States constitution clearly states that raising taxes is the privilege of the United States congress and not the president of these here United States. It also seems to this not to bright blogger that the Supreme Court should have heard the cases against the president raising tariffs and had a verdict within the shortest period so as not to truly hurt the United States after all we are collecting taxes ( tariff money) and it’s legal or as a fifth grader would understand illegal and therefore creating confusion.

When one starts do to this the reason for the law becomes null and void.The same is true when one ignores ruling of the courts and looking for the simplest of pretext to ignore and threaten ignoring rulings makes a mockery of the written law.

 I am under the impression that if countries have free trade with one another the likelihood of war would decrease because one would like to sell its goods and services to one another and war would decrease this. How much money can a business owe to its creditors before it has to pay it back. Now it might not be too bad if the consumer ( that might be other businesses too) continues to need and has the ability to pay, but like a rubber band that maybe stretched too far it may just break.

 You might even think of those wild stock prices that are bought on borrowed moola. Do ya think that the borrowed money is going to pay back itself? We’ll do ya?

 People are worried about their jobs and there are hundreds of government workers who are without pay. The private sector may save but the “ public sector” now now in all likelihood just might have draw from its savings. Do ya think that may be bad news economy for there might be a little less cash to draw on, so the markets perhaps don’t go up and perhaps  even a pull back on buying so those who borrowed may be in a pickle. If those who borrowed are having hardship think about those poor lenders. Hmmmmm.

 Holy Hanna Batman the New York City fire department just had given orders for those who live in apartment complexes that there should be no hallway decorations. No  Christmas reefs on the door. No Christmas decorations in the hallway, weather it’s made of paper or plastic, no more holiday spirits because gee there may be a possibility of a Dangerous fire. While I can’t recall hearing of people being killed or even injured during the holiday season because of holiday decorations in the hallway. I ‘m sure that there have been several bad incidents, I’m pretty certain that this is going to be a depressing holiday season. Camaraderie between neighbors is going to hard to come bye.

What about new immigrants to the United States are they colonizers. If there not colonizers why would a person call the Jews who came to Israel colonizers?

Steve’s Barking ; Bad News oil prices going down!

 Damn this crazy blogger is at it again. Everyone knows that the price of crude going down is great for the economy The price of driving will be cheaper. The price of moving goods should be cheaper. If the price of moving goods is cheaper perhaps the price of goods will become cheaper. Soooo how can the price of oil going down be bad news. Well because of supply and demand the price of crude going down would indicate that the demand isn’t there and that would indicate a slowdown in the economy.,  Perhaps there is an over production of oil, that isn’t good for oil companies. Bad news for oil producing states and perhaps bad news for the United States as a whole.

 Ah, it that time of the political spectacle in the United States where financial goofy nonsense takes place. 

 Now the Republicans say you all Democrats do it our way or else. Now the President thumps his chest and says I’m the president and you present the money to be spent the way I want it. Now the Democrats look at their constituents and tell the President and their opposition, nah this is what we’re going to do to pay our bills. 

 Oh there are some Republicans who say let us all befriends and kick the can ( bill) down the road.lets try against in 6 weeks or so time.

 I hear on the boob tube that Charlie Kirk was assassinated by a left wing woke ( what ever that is) individual.  Hear on the boob tube that Charlie Kirk’s assassin was a follower of right wing pundit Nick Fuentes. I hear on the boob tube that Charlie Kirk was n love with a trans person’s who was transitioning. I did’t hear on the boob tube from so called lover, or ( alleged) assassin about this love affair. I hear on the boob tube that there is evidence that Mr Kirk was shot in the back ( though I do not know how this was possible. I even heard someone on the boob tube say that Charlie Kirk was shot by the Mossad. 

Now just after the assassination two people were picked up and reports that each of these people was the lone assassin of Mr Kirk. An hour after each was arrested that were proven innocent.

I understand that the FBI just after the assassination gave out several false reports.

 🤔 I’m a United Stateser because I was born and raised in the good old U.S. of A. Now just about all of us  born in the States call ourselves America. Of cause none of us look at an atlas which shows continents and the continent I live in just happens to be North America. Now that being the case can’t a Canadian call themselves American, and the same is true of Mexico after all we all live in North America. What about persons from Brazil and Argentina can they too call themselves Americans after all they live in South America, so they must be Americans too.  Don’t we call Poles, French, British Europeans so why can’t call those who live on the continents of the Americas American.🥹😆😆😆😆😆

 I’m distinguishing my self from the rest of those who live in the American continents by calling myself a United Stateser.

 WTF is this crazy blogger writing about? Everybody and their mother knows that Israel refuses to recognize Palestine. Didn’t Israel have a treaty with Hamas  the government  of  those who call themselves Palestinians to release their hostages.

 I maybe be wrong but not too long ago a large majority of Israelis called for a two state salutation.

Didn’t Perez the one time head of Israel shake hands with Arafat the head of the Palestinians at that time talking of peace. Now how can you talk peace if you don’t recognize one another.

 If the United States had Universal child care being paid by businesses there would be a greater possibility that most businesses would benefit from this? How you may ask? People, mostly women would be able to spend more time at their job. They would make more money and in a consumer society they would have more money ( possibly) to spend on goods and services. There would also be more jobs created by the hiring of persons to mind the children of the workers. You all get it?

Would universal child care be inflationary? After all if products and services don’t keep up with demand and there is more money in circulation that’s classic inflationary pressure. Do we have enough ( qualified) persons to do the job of taking care of the children, if not that would be another problem. Would the person at work who leaves their child in daycare be worried all day about their child and therefore not be able to do their job well.

Steve Barking; I get my Social Security e deposited in my bank thank goodness

 When I started to get Social Security I in my infinite  wisdom had it decided to electronically deposit it my bank account. Well not that I’m getting on in age and my government said they will no longer send checks out to recipients of Social Security I’m so glad, because in my older age my ability to learn new things seems to be diminishing, why just the other day I went into a Tesla and I was so confused by all the buttons. Heck even my cable remote has changed and I’m having a hard time watching my favorite teams when they are playing at the same time. It seems to me that changing channels is a job. Anyhow getting back to what I was writing about I’m so glad that I don’t have to change the way I get my Social Security.

 In the good old U.S. of A not to long ago we discovered this thing called DEI (diversity, Equity and inclusion) . Ah this is nothing new. We intergraded the schools in the 60s. In New York we intergraded high Schools by allowed no females in what was once only male, like Clinton and Brooklyn Tech. The police force of New York City had a hight requirement that was eliminated. The public colleges had strict entrance requirements that were eliminated. Private jobs in NYC in the late sixties and early seventies hired more minorities and women., to fill there positions high and low.

 DEI is not something new.

 In olden days and even today getting certain jobs didn’t matter what you knew  but who you knew.

And that’s a fact.

 Inflation is rising . The job market is weak.  The stock market in the US is rising. How come? Are the supper rich borrowing money and putting it in to the market so us poor souls can follow suit, after all we slubs don’t want to be caught short.

It seems a little odd to me. What we don’t know is who’s buying stocks and why.

 I’m pretty sure that the pres thinks that if the stock market goes the economy is in good shape.

 America 10 months ago was the envy of the world. As great a science country that the present administration is set on destroying, throwing foreign scientists out, and it appears not let science innovations happen. The envy of the world for higher education but now we're keeping foreign students out and hurting the top universities by suing them and interfering of their teaching. Those in federal government raised the price of goods because of tariffs. Before the tariffs the price of goods compared to income was as cheap if not cheaper than the rest of the world. 

 The third world countries  are run by rulers who are autocratic just as the United States is doing now.Many in the third world claim law and order except the fact that the rulers appear to be criminals making up their own laws just as the US is doing now.

 Oh did I forget, high unemployment in the third world as the United States appears to be going.

 ADP claims 54, 000 new private jobs were created in August of 2015. Labor department claim 235, 000 jobs were created in August, claiming that includes private and public sector. This cynical old man claims give them a couple of more weeks and the jobs report will be revised downward.

 The appeals court of the U.S. done said Tarrifs by executive order is not legal by way of the U.S. Constitution. Now if this holds true on the almighty U.S Supreme Court well This crazy 🤪 man says that the president of this United States got lucky. How can I say this? Well the Tarrifs were and are  costing the citizens of the U.S. a pretty penny ( even though the Pres said that the country’s that aren’t the U.S. would pay for it. Now because so many of the consumers have to cut back to survive, layoffs are a coming. Now if the government had some decency they will obey the courts decision. If this crazy blogger is right the harm had been done though it might not be so bad ( risking a run on sentence) the president can blame the court that the economy went into a tailspin taking the blame off himself and many a person will believe him.

 I just read an interesting article that China can build fast because of engineers, the US can’t build fast because of lawyers. 

 I don’t remember who wrote or what magazine I saw on the internet but as i went on to other articles on net from other periodicals it just struck in my mind.

 I started thinking about housing in NYC. And the rest of the nation. Building of highways and the cost of the highways and other good stuff. Is the US falling behind and therefore China is overtaking the US. Or is the US protecting its citizens? Which is right and which is wrong?

 What the “F” happened to my go to cheap meal? Campbells tomato soup and grilled cheese. And  could eat a bowl of chicken soup from Campbell’s. Not to long ago I could buy a can of soup for under a dollar then it was a dollar and a quarter at the beginning of the year. “Yesterday” the price was $2.45. Holly Hanna, don’t tell me we don’t have inflation in the United States. If anyone in government should be fired it’s those lying bums who state there is no inflation.

 If you watch the boob tube and U Tube and the talk is about Cracker Barrel you would think that they go to Cracker Barrel because of the logo and that the elimination of the barrel and the guy was some sort of liberal conspiracy. Me not being too bright can’t figure it out. What liberal conspiracy? It’s just some guy and a barrel. Eliminating them is what,  an all inclusive ploy?  The president of the United States yesterday said that he fired fed governor. Lisa Cook for mortgage fraud. She wasn’t tried nor convicted of mortgage fraud. Welll I do recall 🤔 that the President Donald Trump was accused of mortgage fraud ( perhaps I’m wrong) . Welll he was accused of many things such as inflating the value of his properties. Welll if one fed gov  can be removed from office for mortgage fraud isn’t it proper that the president removes himself from office after all what’s good for the goose 🪿 ( fed governor) is good for the gander

 Ah the good old days of Air Travel in the United States, there were two Major Airlines  Pan Am and TWA and to lesser extent DELTA, that almost everyone look up too. All other airlines had a hard time competing against them. Today they no longer exist.

 Not that long ago Russia and the United States and to a lesser extent China are the countries that you just didn’t mess with, militarily and to some extent economically.

 Like Pan Am and TWA the U.S. and Russia has become arrogant and it appears to this no nothing blogger the U.S. and Russia are in the same position that Pan Am and TWA were in  with air travel

 After the last census New York States in all its political wisdom gerrymandered the state that it would be extremely hard for the Republicans. They would in all probability have lost several seats in congress. Now the courts in all it’s wisdom said No no no you can’t do that, so it was back to the drawing board the change of districts went. Now Texas has decided to do the same thing except of Democrats stopping Republicans it’s vice versa. So let us see what the courts are going to do?

 Win a car on a game show in America and you pay the retail price of said car even if you bought the car the price would less. Now I’m bewildered as to why those CEOs who get stock as pay seems not to pay taxes on it. Don’t seem fair to me.

Every body talks about affordable housing in NYC but no one goes back to the future in the discussion of affordable. 

 Why in the depression and even later, there was no housing for the poor. Well the government came up with a solution. The solution was let’s build housing for the poor. The housing that they built is called the projects. Do you think that projects could be built today? Well do ya?

 In the mid 1950s there was a middle class movement out of the city’s in New York State so the state legislature passed a bill enabling limited profit housing (rental and co ops). This legislation was called Mitchell Lama. 

 I don’t hear from the mayoral candidates talking about revitalizing these programs. Maybe I’m missing something?

 The current president of these United States had two operatives named Steve who were head and shoulders above what the Democrats had. These two operatives are named Steve Bannon and Steve Miller. What makes these two’s Steve’s so good is they listen to the people and show them what they want to hear. They also knew the fears and prejudices of the majority of the American people and they exploited them. They did a much better job the those in charge of the Democratic machine.

 The Trump administration has threatened to have military intervention in much of America. Now these countries don’t want the U.S. military in the country. Who are they going to call, no other than China. 🇨🇳 You may say well why would they call on China, well China is not threatening them and they have to protect themselves.

 The U.S. talks about the Chinese threat yet by their foolish actions it is really helping China militarily.

 I have read the U.S. Constitution and guess what the President of the United States is acting in a way that the Constitution doesn’t say, in fact it says just the opposite. Will the President get away with it? Well if I was a betting man I would  say the odds are 75% he will even if the courts of the United States say no. 

 What’s with trade agreements? The U.S. has trade agreements with most markets in the world, the American illegal Tarrifs aren’t part of them.

 What about Russia and the treaties they signed with the former members of the Soviet Republics, it seems like if Russia doesn’t like something they are doing they just ignore the treaties. Possibly even invade them.

 There are probably hundreds of examples of what countries are doing that they have written documents that say nope that’s not the way it is.

Steve’s Barking; Comparing the present day United States to the late 60s Yankees

 The United States in my lifetime was the envy of all the nations of the world. The New York Yankees in the early part of of my life was the envy of the baseball world. . Until  1965 the Yanks as they are called could be counted to be a contender in the American League every year. The were so good that CBS ( the supper television network ) decided to buy them. The Yanks would have so much money that it would be extremely hard for other teams to compete. But and this is a big but, mismanagement destroyed the Yanks. Now getting back to the United States, the envy of the word by economic standards and by fairness for its citizens, and democracy. This is all changing because of mismanagement of the government. The U.S. by the next few years will be looking up in envy to much of the rest of the world.

Steve’s Barking; Know your enemy Social Security!

 In the not so distant past, there were signs that said know your enemy. Now as I recall they were a warning of the United States about communist countries. Well I being a Social Security recipient have a warning about Social Security to all my fellow recipients of Social Security.

 The Social Security trust fund is running out of money, and because it’s running out of money it has become a pay as you go system. It has never been truly a pay as you go system as payers and there employers put their money in a trust fund that acted like a bank as it lent money out that earned interest. The money that it lent out was to the federal government which borrowed it at lower interest rates then the government would have to pay if it went out and borrowed from the general public.

 Unfortunately there are fewer and fewer workers replenishing the trust. This has led to the understanding that in the judgement of of the trustees of the trust fund that this will lead to in the not so distant future the recipients will only get back 79 cents on the dollar that was promised.

 There are many people who claimed m that they know how fix this problem., including upping the retirement age, have a cut off of income of who is eligible to receive benefits from Social Security, make those who make over a certain amount pay social security tax on that amount.

 There are several groups who mistakenly call Social Security a pyramid scheme. And there are even people who point out ( wrongly) that if you had put this money a money market account you would have a lot more money.

 Now why would I say know your enemy to those who depend on Social Security. Who and what is the enemy?

 If you don’t know your enemy, the question is how are you going to fight for your rightful Social Security.

 The main enemy of Social Security is ignorance. How many people realize that the Social Security trust fund is a bank.

 The enemy of Social Security is trying to equate that Social Security is part of a three legged stool, for having never read the original bill and the right of those governments ( city, state and federal ) not to be part of the system if you gave a adequate pension.

 An enemy of the Social Security system is those who either want to take retirement money and claim to invest it taking a chunk for themselves.

 An enemy the Social Security system is those who hate the government and claim that the government only steals the money from the people and it’s a. Socialist scheme.

 An enemy of Social Security are the clams that it’s a pyramid scheme.

 An enemy of Social Security is the many fixes that are being proposed because with s many ideas none in all probability will pass.

 My personal fix for Social Security is to have no cap on FICA.

 Don’t   increase the amount given out except for COLA for a least two years until the trust fund is secure after the end of the cap.

 The United States has put a ridiculous tariffs on Canada 🍁, this after the President of the US threatened to annex them.

 Canada being pissed off decided to burn a lot of it’s timber( which it has lots and lots of ) to pollute the air  of it’ neighbor to the south, making the air the citizens of the United States hard to breath.

 To me money 💰 is something I need to survive and the extra money that I have makes life a little more pleasant 😃.

 Ah put as I look around I see some supper dupper rich taking pride in being the richest  person, and if they are not that is their goal 🥅. Now there are even people who know that they will never be the richest person in the world but they take pride in being a billionaire and threaten anyone who suggests that they are not as if being a billionaire is a prize 🏆 unto itself. 

 Now personally I wish all these person who prize being supper rich all the luck in the world 🌎, though I feel sorry 😢 for those who believe lots of money is a prize, there supper money I reason help this lower middle income person survive 🤔.

 Let’s tax the supper rich. It’s evil that one person should have so much wealth as a billion dollars or more. That being said by many in the world today. Of cause one takes a closer look at these supper dupper rich you realize that the reason that they are so, so rich is because they are on top of stock and or real estate pyramids. Who is in the middle and the bottom? Why us poor slubs who worked or are working and have our retirement tied to the stocks that these so called super rich get their wealth from stocks  and possibly from real estate. Now if we if really go after the super rich are we really hurting future and present day retirees?

 Now ai hear on the boob tube and the boob internet pretty well off people complaining that there should be no billionaires and tax the rich but not the lower rich such as themselves, not realizing that they are actually suggesting on hurting retirees, present and future.

Steve’s Barking: Reducing Drug Prices by Charging More

 WTF, who said that the American consumer is going to be charged more. After all, didn’t the President of the United States said he was going to reduce drug prices. But and this is a big but he is putting a huge tariff on drugs produced outside the US of A and let me guess he believes that the pharmaceutical companies and or the drug stores will absorb the cost.🤣🤣 Having a tariff on a product in no way, shape or form will reduce the price of drugs, and of cause the price of those drugs will be much cheaper in the countries that manufactured them. 

Steve’s Barking; Don’t understand Tariffs ?

That’s me, I hear that the US won the illegal ( Tariffs are a tax and American constitution plainly states that only congress can tax)tariff war with Japan. The added price to Japanese products will in most cases be 15% more , now wouldn’t the same product made in America if it’s made of steel be the same or more then the Japanese product. Now that being said I really don’t know the amount of steel and aluminum that goes into say cars, but it appears to this goofy blogger the biggest losers are the American consumer. 

 Let’s say that a Chinese product couldn’t or isn’t produced in the good old US of A how much would Chinese manufacturers lose 5% 15% 25% of there normal sales in the U.S. again the biggest losers wouldn’t be the Chinese manufacturers but the American consumer. Foreign manufacturers can make estimates on how much they are going to lose in sales, but they are only estimates.

 Now if the American consumer has to pay more for products, I would think that would lead to a shrinkage in the work force leading to a downward spiral, ya think of the gdp.

 It seems to me I don’t know much about tariffs because it makes no sense to me. Because foreign sellers of goods might lose some business but it’s would only be a guesswork, but definitely the American consumer would be hurt hard.

Steve’s Barking; Let’s build up American manufacturing by making it more expensive to manufacture

 Because of much higher tariffs on imported  steel aluminum and copper the price of manufacturing in the United States is going to cost 1 and 1/2 times more then what it should. Can the manufactures afford to build new and improved facilities? If not will the United States be a second or third class manufacturing hub?

 Now if I had anything to do with it I would eliminate tariffs on Steel, Aluminum and copper all together at least pay the tariffs back to the manufacturers who need to build new and or upgrade existing plants plus a little incentive, perhaps in the form of monetary help.

 ( monetary help to build factories, what am I, an old commie?)

 Does the United States have more the 2 major political parties? The reason I use the word major is because the United States has numerous minor political parties.

  Ow let’s get to the part as to why I’m writing does the United States have a ( major ) third party? Of cause it does. It goes under the heading of MAGA which of cause took over the old Republican Party, because it got too old, just as the so called Democratic Socialist think they can take over the Democratic Party.

 Now this isn’t anew phenomenon The federalist were taken over and split by the wigs and the Democratic Republicans morphed into the Democratic Party in them olden days.

I may have gotten my facts a little twisted but the general idea is 100% correct.

 There is an old man who lives in a White House who every other day says that he is going to throw 20% no 30% tariffs on the rest of the world not realizing that the rest of the world is getting bored with his antics and started find new trading partners. When and if the new higher tariffs are set in play the rest of the world besides the stock market is going to yawn.

Steve’s Barking; Why should foreign governments worry about American tariffs?

 The crazy blogger is at it again. 

 Mexico, the EU counties, S American counties and Canada and Asian counties will in all probability be selling less of their goods because of the cost of their goods to the American consumers will go up. Now the American consumer who had it good, (no had it great)will have to in all probability cut back. 

 Now you may ask how the heck is this good the trading partners. Wellll American trading partners will have to figure out ways to enhance trade with each other and my guess is that in less then one year the majority of goods that they are manufacturing will be sold with the opening up of trade among the rest of the world.

 Oh of cause I doubt that the United States will be able to build and repair their old manufacturing base because of the rising costs and the lack of steel and aluminum and now copper because of the brilliant tariffs that my government is set to impose.

 Do ya think maybe US tariffs may be a lot worse for the United States than its’ trading partners? Do ya?

Steve’s Barking ; If the U.S. is so upset about the balance of trade why troops all over the world

 I know that it’s hard to understand but by stationing troops all over the world that creates a trade imbalance. Think of all the money that is going out of the American coffers into the hands of foreigners.

 If the United States were to pull out of NATO Putin could save face and possibly end the Russo Ukraine war. 

 Think of all the money the US would save.

 My question of the day ( I know the Answer) is stationing troops overseas an import or an export?

The reason I’m asking this question is that most people have a hard time with balance of trade statistics!

Steve’s Barking; The US is currently 7/‘8/25 in economic distress

 The U.S. is currently in economic distress. How do I Know? The Arm forces have already filled there recruitment goals and that only happens when there is hardship in finding jobs.

Steve’s Barking; Something strange in the neighbor hood of June Labor statics that the US labor debt puts out

 Me being not well in the head I decided to check the Bureau of Labor Statistics for June of the past four years.

In June 25 the US added 147,000 jobs

In June 24 the US added 147,000 jobs

In June 23 the US added 209,000 jobs

In June 22 the US added 147,000 jobs

Now under my thought process it would seem a little odd that 3 of  the past 4 years ( Is it really possible) had the same amount of jobs added to the economy.

It’s possible that I miss read the statistics, so if anyone is curious they can check up for themselves.

When I compare ADP with the labor departments Job statics I don’t report that ADP counts only private sector jobs and not public sector, which include state and city workers.

 Now as I recall in NYC local government has summer Jobs’s that would be filled in June and I assume that other areas of the country are the same, so maybe we should disregard June Jobs statistics altogether?

 Ah Steve’s barking just was offered a bribe by the Trump government. Me and other seniors, especially those on Social Security. Ha ha ha the reader may ask, well under the Trumps big beautiful bill many of us will get a nice tax breaks, higher deduction on standard deduction. Least we forget no tax in many of us old  people on our Social Security. Now how the heck can this crazy blogger say that this is a bribe? We’ll it’s not permanent so in order to keep this the thinking maybe that us older people tend to vote more then the younger citizens and in order to keep these tax deductions the administration may think we older Americans will vote for the Trump party,

Steve’s barking : ADP Jobs report vs Dept of labor jobs report

 Oh my goodness ADP jobs report that the United States lost 33,000 jobs. Ah but the labor department whose employees that owe their  jobs to the Federal Government put on a happy face and said that the United States gained 147,000 jobs.

 According to this irrelevant blogger Moe, Larry,  Curley Shemp and mister irrelevant are running for Mayor of NYC.

Steve’s barking ; No more billionaires “NOT”

 Ah yes in the good old US of A there is a movement that says there should be no billionaires. I personally don’t care if there are billionaires or even trillionaires This is from a guy not a hundred thousand net worth,or for that matter half that. 

 Why may you ask don’t I give a rats behind that there are people who are worth billions upon billions and there are people who are living in the streets who aren’t worth two cents.

 Well I have a pension and that pension like all pensions are invested.And you all can say that there are people invested in their retirement by having a 401k and an IRA and they are invested in those stocks and real estate of those billionaires.

 Unfortunately stocks and real estate trust are pyramids and the super rich are at the top of the pyramid.

When they do well my pension and the savers for retirement are doing well and in my eyes there is nothing wrong with that and in fact it’s a good thing.

 Now how do we help those poor unfortunate souls who don’t have two cents to there name, perhaps we tax assets of individuals who have assets not part of their retirement that over a million dollars, excluding homes, they ( the homes) are taxed enough. 

 We could even tax those millionaires and billionaires on their assets over a million dollars to help shore up Social Security.

Steve’s Barking: The true cost of prescription drugs, this idiot wants to know

 What is the true cost of medication after all I just paid $3.75 for a prescription at my pharmacy or was it? I pay $175 a month for my health insurance plus Medicare which I have been paying into since the 60s. So  I reason that the cost of my prescription is more then the $3.75 that I just paid. Now between Medicare and United Health they can bargain with the drug companies to lower the price, but I’m still paying more than the $3.75.

 Now we here in the States look at the European countries and say that the same drug that I just bought would be free or perhaps 25 cents. Realty, doesn’t the European governments leave a high tax and part of that tax is to pay for health care? Well if you take into account the money that the Europeans pay in taxes and what their governments take out to pay for healthcare and part of the payment in healthcare pays for drugs, I don’t believe you can say that the drug I just got was free or a lot cheaper then the people of the United States pay.

Steve’s Barking; The Bronx is burning (1977)

 During the 1977 World Series Howard Cosell  proclaimed the Bronx is burning.🔥 

 Certain areas in the borough I currently live actually burned.  Why was that.

There are several reasons. The most prevalent reason is that the landlords couldn’t afford the mortgage and or the upkeep of the apartment buildings. Some just abandoned the property and the people who lived there started fires 🔥. The other possibility is that many of the landlords burned their own apartments down for the insurance money 💰 .

 The reason I bring this up at this present day is there is talk of a government insisting of a rent freeze. Will we again in NYC again lose our housing stock because landlords can’t afford their apartments.

Steve’s Barking; June 25 , 2015 Mayoral race in NYC Don’t count your chickens

 Despite what every Tom, Dick and Harry election experts are saying Zohran Mamdani is not the mayor of  NYC just quite yet. He didn’t quite win the Democratic primary. Let’s just say that if he didn’t get any votes other then first place another candidate can sneak in because of rank choice voting.

 Don’t forget that the general election is in November and the current mayor Adams, Andrew Cuomo are running on independent slates, and least we forget the Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa.

 In my time we have had three Republican mayors ( Lindsay Giuliani, and Bloomberg).

Steve’s Barking; Please U.S. no boots on the ground in the war between Iran and Israel ( the Israeli’s should say)

 I’m going to say something that those who are supporting Israel might say is heresy but Israel should plead with the U.S not to send troops to help fight the Iranians and that includes pilots in U.S aircraft. It is a war between two countries in the Middle East and to get American arm forces help would make Israel subservient to the United States in the near future. It would also in the eyes of the countries in that part of the world make them think that Israel is a vassal of the United States, thus weakening the standing that Israel may have.

 Now if Israel was to ask the United States not to send services men to help in their war with Iran it should be a feather in the cap of President Trump. * He kept America out of war as he promised. It would modify both the pro Israeli members of his party because Israel asked not to send U.S. arm forces and it would modify the other ( America first crowd ) in his party.

* I am praying for peace ( Ever lasting peace) between Iran and Israel. 

   It is my understanding from, people who know Iranians that most Iranians are not anti Jewish ( I use the term Jewish because most Arabs are semites). 

   It is also my belief that the trouble in that part of the world is those trying to prove who is the better Muslim, Sunni, Shite and the various factions of each Muslim sect. To prove that they are the better Muslim sect will try to claim that they pushed the Jew out.

 I also pray that there will be acceptance of Jew and Palestinians with no more bloodshed.

Steve’s Barking; Paying for your job 🙀

 We in the United States think that we get a job to make money 💰. But there are many of us who pay 💰 good money to get a job that in the short run will pay us good money. I use myself as an example . The second job I got apI paid an agency to help me get it. I went to a trade school that I paid money for to help me get a better job . I went to a University that Uncle Sam helped pay for to get an even better paying job.Now I’m not the only one who does this. I imagine that a vast majority of my countrymen did and are doing similar things to help get a better paying job and thus the money that was payed out is well worth the reward 💲after a short period of time. But there is one group of people that are constantly payng out big bucks to get a job that doesn’t in the long and short run pay nearly what they paid out….These people call themselves Congress  persons, Senators and President.  A lot of these people call themselves conservatives. Go figure?

 Going back to the future, there is a group that call themselves America first. They are Republicans, Now if history serves me right there were a group of Republicans just prior to WWII who called themselves America first (let’s make up a new word firsters )  These new firsters  say let’s stay out of the war in Central Europe, let’s stay out of the war in the Middle East. Now I’m not one who believes that my country should get involved in wars all over the globe, and I think it would be foolish to send even one troop to get involved in conflicts that don’t really involve us. The problem with the firsters they blame the victims. 

 The problem with the firsters is we were the ones who started NATO and our European partners feel threatened by Russia. The firsters don’t seem to think that Russia is a threat? Or do they, they just think that it’s not our problem 

 We help with the creation of Israel but so what. The firsters think that we should abandon her ( or at least many of them do).

 Now a lot of the firsters seem to think that China is a menace, that doesn’t seem very fair of them of there really against America going to war is it? But to be fair there are many firsters who would  not protect so one if they were invaded.

 Who knows what the president will do for every single day he changes his mind one second he’s a first second second he claims he will unleash the power of the United States on those countries that displease him (depending on what side of the bed he got up on). The exception is Russia.

Steve’s Barking; Deficit is it really a bad thing?

 The US is running a huge . Is it just my imagination or does it seem to be doubling every few years. Well, one of the reasons it seems to this foolish blogger is because the country needs financing that we refused  to do by raising taxes ( taxes the very unpopular thing that governments do to finance the state). We needed the money I presume to help the citizens survive during Covid. We’re running a deficit by the reduction of taxes.

 When I look at the government deficits I ask myself when a human buys a new car and finances it what kind of deficit does that person hold against that person’s income and or savings. What about buying a home that is financed, what kind of deficit is that person running ? What about the person who runs credit card debt, isn’t that a deficit.

 Personal debts in the mind of this crazy blogger seems to be on par with the national debt, and perhaps in this modern era large debt ( deficits) is a need to survive.
