Steve’s Barking; The death ☠️ of American conservatism

In the beginning of the United States ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ the original conservatives believed in a strong centralized government ( Hamilton and Adams, Washington among them). If you were to ask the modern Americans who call ๐Ÿ“ž call themselves conservatives they wouldn’t agree. Those original conservatives believed in a very heavy tax code( Real estate and liquor ๐Ÿฅƒ taxes the chief taxes).
The late ⏰ 19th century Americans who ๐Ÿ“ž themselves conservatives would be appalled ๐Ÿคฏ of the interference of business by those who call ๐Ÿ“ž themselves conservatives.
In the beginning of the 20th century the conservative movement was anti large military ๐Ÿช–though the original American ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ conservatives were just the opposite. The newer conservatives are for a large and stronger ๐Ÿฆพmilitary ๐Ÿช–.
Those who call ๐Ÿ“ž themselves conservatives today have a problem with collecting taxes. It’s as almost ๐Ÿ˜… they don’t want taxes to be collected as they refuse to adequately fund the IRS. And they call ๐Ÿ“ž that being a conservative๐Ÿค”๐Ÿคท.
They tell businesses how to run their businesses ( as if their businesses were part of government ( think ๐Ÿค” Twitter, Facebook and Google) must carry their nonsense ๐Ÿ˜)
Those who call ๐Ÿ“ž themselves conservatives are telling  businesses that they can’t insist on vaccinations ๐Ÿ’‰of employees and can’t insist on masks ๐Ÿ˜ท. Texas  conservatives are even acting like the old communist GDP in encouraging citizens to rat ๐Ÿ€ on each other in their abortion law.
In my humble opinion this this is further proof that conservatism is dying if not dead ☠️ in America.

*** Barry Goldwater whom some called the father of modern conservatism believed in abortion rights, integration ( though not federal government mandate) and women’s right.

*** Richard Nixon opened the door to ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ณ, Affirmative action, permanent cola for Social Security.
