 Ah yes 🙌 it’s great 👍🏾 to be a billionaire. Just ask those non billionaires who claim to be super rich. They yell and scream 🙀 zi am too a multi billionaire when the facts don’t add up. Net worth is based upon assets versus liabilities. Now these blowhards who demand that they are billionaires seem to forget just because you have assets that are worth $1 billion. Does it mean you have $1 billion cause you have liabilities. Even so-called billionaire Donald Trump seems to forget he has liabilities. Oh, why am I picking up for Donald, I can just as easy pick on those who call Elon Musk one or two or three of the richest people in the world do they forget about his liabilities and his billions are based on stocks that go and down. Even those poor souls who demand that we tax those billionaires don’t realize that a lot of those billionaires are not really billionaires.

I have that there are a lot more billionaires than we realize but they keep it on the down low and they stay off of Forbes billionaire list and Bloomberg’s billionaires list. Maybe 🤔 we can tax billionaires, it’s just not the fake billionaires that we are made to believe,

Steve’s Barking; It’s not the fault of Rikers Island that conditions there are so horrible

 I’m not in a very jovial mood when it comes to Rykers Island. There have been too many deaths on Rikers island prison this year. Problem really isn’t Rikers Island but the so-called progressives are really the problem. What is needed for the prison is more space, more correctional officers and more money. Building boutique prisons is not even a Band-Aid. It’s not even a good idea. What I believe in is that money has been taken from Rikers island to help with staffing and correcting some of the serious physical problem at this jail and being put into building these boutique jails in four of the five boroughs.

Steve’s Barking; Sorry Charlie Russia has already lost the war with Ukraine

 Russia has already lost the war with Ukraine even if Russia takes control of half of Ukraine when the fighting stops. How might one ask is that possible, if it controls the seas , much of the farm land and many of Ukraine’s minerals and oil.

 Let’s just start with the fact that it has lost tens of thousands of it’s armed forces. 

 It has proven itself as an unreliable protector of Russians living outside Russia in neighboring countries, by destroying the infrastructure that those ethnic Russians need.

 It has shown weakness in its arm forces and the need to buy weapons frequently from the outside.

 It has strengthen NATO which was in the throes of falling apart. Now they have two new countries and want to join.

 Some of the best and brightest of Russia have left the country because of the stupid war.

 There has a larger mistrust of the central government, then had previously been before the war( by a lot).

 It has weaken itself economically that might not make a comeback for decades to come.

 It has driven many of its customers away from its product of natural resources, and these customers are finding new places and new materials to use in its place. The customers that it does have are demanding huge discounts.

 Yes Virginia Russia has already lost the war!

 * Those so called Russian nationalists have weakened Russia so badly with their so called blinding Russian nationalism they have made Russia weaker and what we of the West used to third world.

 In 2023 the majority party in the U.S. senate will be the Republican Party! This is the same as 2022 were the Republican Party part has 50 senators and the Democrats have 48. With 2 independent members of the Senate, Sanders from Vermont, and king from Main. Next year they will be 49 senators that are republican, 48 senators that are democrat and three independent. The two from the north east, and one from Arizona. The three independent caucus with the Democrats. Kind of makes you think that we are becoming European parliamentary. (Joke)

 Donald Trump was elected president because of the constitution period. If for any reason the constitution was suspended logic would say that in 2016 was an illegitimate election. Now the Presidential Election of 2020 was held because of the constitution, suspension of the constitution would make the election an illegal election and therefore there would be no rules that Donald Trump could even run. There would be no reason to call Donald Trump President.

Will call companies like Amazon and Tesla collapse?  Hugh companies like Tesla and Amazon have a high chance of not being around by 2030. BS one might say. Why just last year their profits were soaring.Ah but there debt was also soaring. Tesla opened new factories on borrowed monies and Amazon borrows money to buy businesses. This was ok 👍🏾 when the country was running 🏃‍♂️ on free money ( real low interest rates). Net profits were up, now that interest rates are higher ( much) profits are going to be down if they exist a all. One can make a good case these high capitalized companies will be hemorrhaging money. Heaven help us if these companies can’t survive because of debt overload.

Steve’s Barking; The 2/10 of a percent solution for healthcare

 In the United States, there is a great shortage of nurses and doctors and hospital beds. We need the nurses the doctors and the hospital beds. In order to have a decent healthcare system. Now it’s got to be paid for so the solution to that is a 2/10 of a percent on every item sold. It’s not just the 2/10 of a percent a2/10 of a percent on the end product but every thing that is sold in America that’s the batteries that are sold to General Motors and for their cars. The cars are then sold to dealerships, with a 2/10 of a percent on the price of the car to the wholesaler ( the dealership). Now the dealerships has a 2/10th of a percent on the price of the car sold. Every step of the way to the final sold item 2/10 of a percent is taken out and put into a healthcare fund so that we can have a better health care system with more doctors and nurses and hospital beds with the minimum effect on the consumer and only a small effect on the sellers. The other thing is that foreign sellers have to pay the 2/10 of a percent of what they sell in the United State to be put into the healthcare system, as not to give an unfair advantage to foreign sellers. 

Now the 2/10 of percent can be used in other countries to help there health system, because as far as I can tell, no country has a adequate healthcare system with adequate doctors, nurses and hospital beds. They can use this 2/10 of a percent to bolster up their healthcare systems

Steve’s Barking; How does the Fed raising interest rates contribute to inflation .🤷‍♂️

 The conventional wisdom is to fight. Inflation is to raise interest rates by the Fed. Now it is my firm belief that raising interest rates does just the opposite. How might one might ask, is that possible after all doesn’t history tell us that the way to fight inflation is to raise interest rates?. Isn’t it true that there is too much money in circulation? * No history doesn’t take into account other things that were going on. In the United States during the Reagan administration, new ways of taking oil from the ground what is the real reason that inflation cool down not the raising of interest rates by the Volker Fed. Reason Germany inflation during the 20s stopped was because of the stopping of reparations. ** the problem with the idea of too much money in circulation is that the wrong people are getting this money not that there is too much money in circulation. 

Now one might ask how can the Fed raising interest rate lead to higher inflation? Easy the cost of raising money goes up ( money inflation). Too many of America’s businesses get by with short term borrowing , to meet there expenses they have raise their  prices or cut their work force.  This will cut the productivity of the business, cutting the productivity of will reduce the product, even if the product is services. The reduction of product means less goods and services from that business multiple that by how many businesses offer the same product. The product if need would raise the cost of said product. Multiply that by many products and you get a viscous cycle of inflation.

 There’s a political Civil War going on right now. No I’m not talking about Republicans versus Democrats. No I’m talking about the crazy Democrats who think they know it all and yet they know nothing and attack those old (not) so wise Democrats. I’m also talking about the old-time Republicans who run away from the new, new Republicans and the old party is being destroyed by the mega Republicans. As you may know or if you don’t know, this is Civil War going on in each of the real parties in America. The fact of the matter is that the new, Republican and the new Democrats are splitting their parties apart. So in the eyes of this blogger, we’re having a civil war already, and with almost all upheavals anarchy prevails. Perhaps the Civil War’s that are going on in the political parties will spill over to the whole country, making those who don’t believe in government very happy.

Steve’s Barking; The super rich were never poor. Really?

 Yea the top rich entrepreneurs* came from mostly the upper middle class, who were given an advantage over those who came from the lower and no income households but there are problem with that reasoning. (1) Most of the billionaire entrepreneurs are asset rich and cash poor. (They get there money from selling their assets, or borrowing against their assets **). (2) One can easily easily say their are their are extremely rich people who come from the bottom of the economic society such as Mr. Carter better known as JZ, Sean, Puff Daddy, Combs, and last, but not least Oprah Winfrey. ( These are examples of extremely rich who didn’t come from rich or upper middle class).

* The examples that are used to by those who are Elon Musk ( Father Gem Merchant) Mark Zuckerberg( I believe his pops was a dentist) and Bill Gates ( My understanding his father was an engineer).

The reason I’m writing this rant is I keep hearing these self righteous upper middle class influencers making fun the American story ( perhaps in some cases a fable) rags to riches.

** Off topic those who borrow against there assets and show no or very little income perhaps should be taxed as though this was income.

 The question being is it correct for Donald Trump to give his tax papers over to the congressional committee? Now I don’t have a true answer, but it’s always been my belief that a persons tax papers was a matter between the taxpayer and the IRS. It’s kind of like a priest in a confessional. Now if it’s true, what I believe in then nobody should have to turn their tax papers in to any law enforcement body.

If a person is a drug dealer, they could put it on the tax forms as long as it is accounts for the money they have. This is what I was taught to believe but then again, I could be wrong.

 It seems to me this none economist, that there’s a recession going on in high-paying jobs. You hear, that companies such as Google and meta-verse are slowing down hiring and laying off workers who are not as productive as leader ship wants. There’s not a recession, going on in lower, paying jobs such as hospitality restaurants especially fast foods, in fact those industries haven’t enough workers.

 We must know our history in order to avoid making the same mistakes. What’s worse and not knowing your own history is knowing false history.

 Now I just read on the internet that Russia clams that Ukraine is going to use a dirty bomb on itself and blame Russia. Now why would the Ukrainians do that. There beating the Russians, what reason would they have to ruin a section of their country? Now the Russians have a  reason, because they are losing a military operation. Now blaming Ukraine before the fact may seem to some in the Kremlin like a good idea, but it will make the Russians seem like two faced liars. The other negative for Russia because nobody will believe them that the Ukrainians would use a dirty bomb on themselves it would really turn the rest of the world on them.

*Be careful Ukraine Russia is almost telegraphing their desperation.

Steve’s Barking; The weird, weird world of 2022 politics in the United States

 I don’t know much about the pollsters in the United States politics but I do know that reliable Republicans might not be reliable this year. I also know that reliable Democrats might not be reliable this year either. Now normally, in a normal year a person could be reasonably accurate that the Democrats would get their A**es kicked because of the weak economy But this year there are so many Republicans Who refused about and some will do the unthinkable and actually vote for a Democrat. Now we’ll have to see how many Democrats would do the sining and vote for a Republican. We will also have to see The so-called independence are so disgusted that they won’t vote or become Single issue voters. Single issues such as abortion, immigration and the war in Ukraine the f**k with the economy, the f**k Hunter Biden.

** Liberals Democrats are a dying breed, as is Conservative Republicans.

Steve’s Barking; Steve’s un asked for peace ☮️ proposal for Russia 🇷🇺 and Ukraine 🇺🇦

 No body asked me, but I’ve got a peace(?) proposal that probably unworkable for the Russian incursion into Ukraine 🇺🇦. 

 A 48 hour Armistice between Russia and Ukraine were the Russians pull back all their troops back to the 2013 borders. Ukraine 🇺🇦 leaves it troops were they are on the day of the Armistice but doesn’t advance.

Crimea will have no troops from Russia 🇷🇺 or Ukraine but would have a UN peace keeping force.

After the 48 hrs a permanent truce would take place. Those who in lived in Eastern and Southern Ukraine would be given A year to move back, After a year and a half a plebiscite would take place to determine if the residence want to be Ukrainian , Russian or a totally independent country. The same is true for Crimea.

This would be under the control of the UN. Both Russia and Ukraine would be open for foreign investment. Ukraine would be able to get foreign aide and be able to sell bonds some of which would be backed by foreign countries ( I know that this will not be understood by the readers)(?). All sanctions against Russia would be off.

*** This proposal is probably unworkable because Ukrainians have become hard. Russia would have a hard time with this because there fear mongering with indiscriminate killing would be exposed as a potential weakness.

Steve’s Barking; The trouble with nuclear threat

 The trouble with nuclear threat is it can only be used once. Once a bomb is detonated the threat is gone, and if  the injured party doesn’t capitulate it’s over and it’s a totally wasted move, never mind that it could be injurious to the detonator.

 Boy, oh boy what are all theses know it all who screamed 😠 the Federal Reserve not doing anything to stop 🛑 this runaway inflation. Now that the Federal Reserve is going whole hog and really raising interest rates these same people who complained that the Feds not raising interest rates are screaming 😱 stop 🛑 the interest rates are going to bring a recession. Well these know it all are reaping what they sowed.

* I’m one ☝️ of  those fools who believed the Federal Reserve should have done nothing. The fact of the matter this country had more then enough goods in waiting to ward off  higher prices for goods. What it didn’t and still doesn’t have the ability to deliver the goods. Ya think 🤔 that maybe we could have training for truck drivers in poorer congressional districts. Ya think 🤔 that maybe we can train more people to package agricultural goods ( what does that mean ?). We should be letting in more immigrants if we can’t find enough people to do these jobs.

** What about energy cost, that’s really bring up inflation. Oh FRACK(ing) that. And FRACK Russia and the Saudi Arabia too.

 Russia for some unexplained reason wants Ukrainian from the eastern region to fight for Russia 🇷🇺. They will give them weapons (?). Do they really think 🤔 that if you bomb 💣 and kill your people they will fight for you and they not turn your weapons against you? They really think 🤔 that given a chance they wouldn’t turn your weapons against you?

 Putin is calling up reservists. Some of which haven’t been in uniform in years. Now if this was the United States where reservist have training one weekend a month and 2 weeks in my the summer uh they might have a fighting chance but they don’t ( as far as I’ve been led to believe). These poor unfortunate souls are being led to slaughter. Putin must not like Russians.

* why is it that those nationalists who push for war and who tell the generals what to do never spent a day in the arm forces. Those who are so gung ho should volunteer to go to the front.

* In the US it takes a minimum of 12 to 20 weeks to be ready to be considered ready for your job in the military and it appears that Russia thinks that you can through there military in 12 to 20 days. Go figure?

Steve’s Barking: MRGA (Make Russia Great Again)

 The leader ship of Russia mainly Vladimir Putin decided to copy Donald Trump and Make Russia Great Again. It appears from this unsophisticated blogger that one of their plans was to take back The land that was many moons ago under Soviet and Russian rule. Now there was an unprovoked incursion into Ukraine. Of course the Russians had a slight incursion into Ukraine in 2014 with little resistance. There was an Appearance that many of Ukrainians living in the eastern section and Crimea wanted to be part of Russia again. Unfortunately for Russia there was a slight miscalculation in the thought process because the president of Ukraine was at one time comedian with low approval rating just before the incursion that a friendly stooge could walk right in and take over the president’s chair. Ha no such luck. 

**** The incursion instead of making Russia Great Again is making Russia look feeble in eyes of the world. Russian equipment and troops don’t appear up to standards. Even the new supper weapons that have been announced coming into battle seem to be very overhyped.

*****Now the Kremlin wants to do something that should have been done at the beginning of the excursion, have a referendum of the Eastern provinces of Ukraine to join Russia. Because of (stupidity) cruelty in several towns and cities bringing about the anger and the hardening of the hearts  that anyone who votes in those  shame elections would be in extreme danger and no one would believe the vote anyway. 

***** Russia could have been on par with the Peoples Republic of China and  maybe even the United States (  it has the resources, it had the brain power ). If only it scaled back it’s corruption by 90%.

***** Vladimir Putin saved Russia from being a feeble country to one that had respect but for some unexplained reason he turning it back into a feeble country like N Korea. (Both countries have nuclear weapons and are using them as bargaining chips).

***** It’s funny in the eyes of this blogger Russia could have eaten away Ukraine at the bargaining table if it didn’t have an incursion.

 Everybody’s talking about how bad Venezuela is especially those who call themselves conservatives and the two senators one from Florida named Marco Rubio and Texas Senator Ted Cruz…Now these 2 senators have Cuban Origin who claim to be anti-communist. Now they got there’s living the American dream, but they wouldn’t dream of helping Venezuelan refugees with communism. Fact of the matter they complain implicitly about migrants even though a lot of those migrants are from Venezuela a communist country. They were so concerned about the people who are running away from communism they would Complain to the Republican governors to help the migrants from Venezuela just as the United States helped their family settle in America, instead of shipping those migrants to blue states. If the politicians from Florida and Texas were so concerned about people fleeing a communist country they would welcome these Venezuelans with open arms.

 The last time we had huge inflationary numbers the banks wanted our money so they invented certificates of deposit that paid 10 to 15 % . Where are those jumbo certificates. Are we in that bad a shape?🤔

 I know that conservatism is on its last breath that in the United States, the question is if  liberalism is dying n America? Free speech is under attack by those who clam to be liberals (WTF is that) The new new liberals have a closet racism, that they can’t even see. The liberal upper middle class income ($ 200,000 to $800,000 and greater) don’t tax me, it’s the rich and the supper rich that are under taxed. Uh not really those upper middle income don’t pay their fair share of Social Security tax. There seems to be an air of superiority for those who are poor and don’t agree with them calling  those people names.

* RFK plight of the poor was West Virginia.

* Food Stamps was a white thing.

* Permanent cola for  Social Security was a Nixon thing whom you may recall is considered a conservative.

* Saying that Gays have every right to serve in the military was  Goldwater thing.

 In my eyes Russia is betting the need of Europe for heat and electricity from Russia. The europeans will demand from their government gas and oil from Russia forcing those nations to abandon Ukraine is Russia’s bet. The bet could easily backfire and Europe develops new sources of heating and running their turbines for electricity. If this happens Russia is in big trouble.

 Would a first rate military power get weapons systems from another country? 

 Russia is getting drones from Iran. Not a small amount but a very large amount. In this uneducated observer that shows a weak military industry in Russia!

 The powers that be ( The bureaucrats) saw what a security risk the 45th president of the United States was when he took office. It was decided that they would give the then president altered and alternative information. It was even hoped that the president would give this information to foreign governments because they would prepare to face the United States with wrong information. These deep state persons felt that our enemies were getting wise so they had to have a raid on the 45th President’s Shangri-La claiming that there was top secret information at Mar-Largo easily accessible.

* FDR wasn’t given all state secrets for the state department and the war department felt he couldn’t be trusted… At least that what I’ve been told.

 It’s funny 😆 that Ex President Trump should call anyone a Republican in Name Only! Wasn’t he the one who was a Democrat at the turn of the century. Wasn’t he the one who believed in abortion till he decided to run for president as a Republican. Wasn’t he the one who went against Republican orthodox of little borrowing. Didn’t Trump  go against the old Republican wisdom of discouraging an increase in the money supply by the federal reserve? No Trump and his followers can’t call anybody a Republican in Name  Only, unless they are a new kind of Republican.!!!

*** Now the Democrats from upstate New York when running for the House of Representatives we’re always for gun owners rights until they represented the whole state were they became anti NRA.  Guess at one time those representatives were Democrats in Name Only.

Steve’s Barking; Student debt, who’s money is it anyway?,

 The President has dated that he will cancel $10,000 dollars in student debt  of those making under $125,000 and $20,000 for those who had pell grants.

I’m not going to get into if cancelling the debt is right or wrong. I have this question that I don’t know the answer to. Are banks the true holders of  this debt and if they are, does the government have to get this money from the treasury or by borrowing (bonds come to mind)? If the government owns the debt why isn’t student debt a plus on the balance sheet ( or a way of reducing the national debt as the debt is payed back)

 * I semi lied, the cancellation of student debt is not inflationary.

Steve’s Barking; America 🇺🇸 has become a nightmare😱erhaps

 America has changed. America that I grew up in was a dream nation. We had racial problems, that we fixed. Our colleges were affordable. We had faith in our government. Most of the nation respected law in enforcement especially those who called themselves conservatives. We had faith in our elections. Losers weren’t whiners if they lost 😞 an election screaming rigged. They respected the system. We had more hospital beds  doctors and nurses then we do now. There was belittling of the opposition but it wasn’t 1/10 as bad as it is now ( blame it on social media). Most of us thought 💭 things through, not irrational thinking 🤔. Perhaps we just got lazy. Maybe the Russians learned how to screw this nation with out firing a shot. Maybe 🤔 it’s social media. Perhaps 🤔 it’s the old bugaboos greed, and selfishness. It might even be self centered social media. Perhaps 🤔 it’s a combination of all these things. What ever it is  America 🇺🇸 that I grew up with and those  of us who thought  that it was heading into a dream 😴 nation , just found out that the dream 😴 has turned into a nightmare 😱.

 It seems like every time the price of oil goes up or down it’s due to the fact that oil storage goes up or down, or at least what I’ve been reading. What this not too Sophisticated person doesn’t quite understand why does the amount of stored oil change from week to week, or in some cases day to day?

 There may never be true peace in Ukraine because of Russia’s belief in terrorizing in order to win. It has worked before, but not this time. Blaming the West is great for Russians domestic consumption but it was not bring total compilation and with a slight help from the West Russia is in trouble. The problem with Russia is they could of had everything they are asking for now in negotiations prior to the incursion into Ukraine.

 

Steve’s Barking; Those money losing company must pay taxes!😟

 I keep reading how much money Tesla, and Amazon make these gigantic profits! Don’t they put it n their facial statements? After all it must be true! Therefore because it these companies are make gigantic profits and 💩 they don’t pay 💰 taxes or at least there fair share of taxes they must pay 💰 at least a minimum. Hell us people have to pay 💰 a fica tax weather we can afford it or not. These wealthy companies are just like humans so the Supreme Court says that companies are human ( or some such statement like that ).

 Now if I’m mistaken, The United States stated that Taiwan was part of China, yet the United States treats Taiwan as a separate country.

 If I’m not mistaken when the British ceded Hong Kong to China, the Peoples Republic of China promised in Hong Kong would be fairly independent and we see what happened to Hong Kong peoples Republic of China rule Hong Kong very heavy handedly.

 If I’m not mistaken when the Soviet Union Split and became Russia, Russia promised that Ukraine would be a free state. But in recent history Russia is taking over by means of military parts of Ukraine. Even though they promised that if the Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons they definitely would be an independent state, free from interference from Russia.

 I’m going to make this brief, if a company’s are making 30 % profit 3 quarters ago and 2 quarters ago made 28% profit and this quarter made 25% profit, yea that’s a down turn if it’s the majority of of American 🇺🇸 companies. That happens. Especially after earth 🌏 shattering events like wars, plagues etc. Let the markets do its things like it’s doing now and the ship 🚢 will strengthen it self out.

Steve’s Barking; Now is the summer of our discontent (Climate Change)

 London burning 🔥 down, my fair lady. Spain and Portugal sweating  😓 it’s as* off. Texas, good old Texas, hottest  🥵 it’s ever been, New York is heading into a Tropical 🌴 heat wave 🌊.

Don’t know much about climate change except gasses CO2 traps heat after it lets the sun 🌞 through. Methane is even worse though we mortals try to burn 🔥 it off before it gets into the atmosphere. I know that the earth 🌍 every year is getting hotter and the icebergs and ice caps are melting at an alarming rate and like investments the melting seems to be compounding every year. Now I don’t know much about the science 🧪 of the warming earth 🌍 but I can venture it’s not very good . 

 I’m going to venture a guess zero carbon isn’t going to happen any time soon and even if it did, it’s probably too late ⏰ to prevent a catastrophe. But one shouldn’t worry for I don’t know 🤷 much about climate change, after all I’m not a scientist.

 I keep hearing of those zillionaires who think 🤔 it’s a good idea to colonize Mars and the moon 🌙 . I’ve got a better idea why don’t we just colonize the earth 🌏. I know We already have people on earth in fact that’s our home planet. 

Let’s look at what it takes to colonize out of space. First of all the Moon and Mars are very hostile places.

There are no guarantees that the rockets 🚀 can carry the equipment that would be needed to make these hostile places live-able plus the robots needed to help the construction 🚧 of these colonies.

What it takes to make those places livable we can do it on earth 🌍 at a much bigger scale without all the robots needed for living on these space objects.

Now why would I say let’s colonize the earth 🤷‍♂️. Well the way things are going in 30 years or less this planet 🌍 will be almost uninhabitable, and in all likelihood we will have to figure out a new way of  surviving. My best thought 💭 if we approach survival on earth is if we were colonizing Mars or the Moon 🌙 human’s have a better chance of survival.

Steve’s Barking; Why doesn’t the upper middle income people pay their fair share 🤷‍♂️🤔.

 In the United States we have a flat tax (?) on income in the form of a tax to pay into Social Security. Now this flat ends at $ 138,000. Puff it’s no longer a flat tax. One might even say it’s a regressive tax on the poor and the lower middle income. Now it seems to me and my uneducated mind that if we were to eliminate this cap Social Security would be secure till 2077.

*Now why would I call this program a tax. I do believe that the supreme Court said so.

* Now why am I saying that The upper middle income isn’t paying their fair share because their not, along with the upper income and supper income people.

* Now I understand that most of my country’s citizens think that Social Security is a program that only pays  old retires and  disabled, not thinking that it also helps fund the rest of the government in the form of  low interest bonds. Now my way of thinking right now these bonds are being paid off from the general funds, in other words the taxes we paid which might pay for armaments, or food stamps are being paid to our Social Security recipients..

* It appears to me there are some well meaning(?) upper middle income people who are claiming that the rich aren’t paying their fair share, while they aren’t paying their fare share of the Social Security tax.

 Why shucks it’s something I just made up!

 It’s the explaining of complex economic issues with explanations that are simple snd seem true but aren’t.

 The United States Supreme Court has proven that with out a doubt that a person can be a Supreme Court justice and be totally 💯 ignorant of American History. Not only ignorant of American history but not very savvy in the English written language.  The wording of the second amendment is to protect the nation not the individual, if you literally follow the wording. It also appears the the 🧑‍⚖️ justice have the foggiest reason that (true) reason we have the second amendment is because of Shays rebellion and the inability of the paid militia had to break into the armory to get weapons.

 Now I look into abortion rights, perhaps 🤔 and in all probability the constitution doesn’t guarantee abortion, but it does guarantee that in most of the laws that the states that are banning them are unconstitutional. Oh by the way the court is saying don’t worry 😉 about precedence when the old members pass away there is a good chance that all abortions will be legal again.

Steve Barking; Course that should be taught in school

 If we teach a memory course in the first grade and a reinforcement course in the 3rd grade it is my uniformed opinion that half the battle of learning is taken care of. Just think of the times table, and a new language would be much easier. Almost all, if not all courses are easier with a good memory.

Another course that should be given in either middle school or in the freshman year in high school is a course in reasoning, this will help in the ability to understand science, in my learned opinion.

These courses should not be graded.

Steve’s Barking; Inflation self fulfilling prophecy ? 🤔

 Inflation in the US of A  is going through the roof. Now the Feds are raising money interest rates which in itself is a kind of inflation (?) because the price of money 💰 is costlier. 

 Now if you had turned on any of those businesses channels even a year ago they had people they would have demanded that the Fed raise interest rates or there is going to be inflation, well we have inflation and the Fed is raising interest rates.

 Prediction interest rates rising will not do anything to stop 🛑 inflation from rising, hopefully it will not make matters worse. This inflation isn’t do too to much $ money, but to few goods. 

 Let’s get real we need dock workers to to unload the cargo from overseas. We need to produce more oil and gas . We need more truck drivers (80,000 more)to deliver the goods. We need farmers all over he world especially in Africa and South America to produce more. We need our meat packing plants to have more workers. We need workers to make construction materials and workers for construction.

If you get my drift, the Fed raising interest rates will have zero to bring down inflation.

*** If a person gets a windfall there are several things they can do with it, save it, invest it, spend down debt, or go on a shopping 🛍 spree.

Over a year ago I recall that the consumer was spending down debt and saving, today savings have dwindled and debt is rising fast. That should tell you something.

 Russia and it’s goose stepping army has high jacked Ukrainian grain, thus potentially starving the those in countries that we once called third world countries. One can only call this high jacking of food an act of war against the people of these low resourced countries an act of war. Of cause Russia could give the grain  away and thus win praise from those dependent countries….  Do I believe that the rulers of Russia would do this… nah…..it’s not in their nature.

 I’m reminded of the fable of the fox and scorpion they both want to get across the stream. The scorpion ask the fox to let him on his back to forge the stream, the fox at first turns him down saying you’ll kill with your stinger. The scorpion reassures the fox that he would do that because they both would drown.

The fox thinks it over and agrees to let the scorpion ride on his back as he forged the stream. Midway through the stream the scorpion stings the fox. As they are both about to drown the fox asked the scorpion why? The scorpion replies because that is what I do. The scorpion reminds me of the leadership of Russia right now.

If you listen to certain people they will tell that the price of ⛽️ and oil is because of  Greed 🤑. They will tell you that there is a shortage of baby formula because of collusion of baby formula manufacturers and that that just Greed 🤑 . The will tell you that profits have gone up stupendously that’s just Greed 🤑.

Now there is another group that will tell you that we can’t manufacture anything because of the Greed 🤑 of the labor unions that have priced us out. They will tell you that the reason property taxes are high is because of the Greed 🤑 of the teachers who only work 10 months out of the year. The reason student 🧑‍🎓 debt 💸 is so high is because of the Greed 🤑 of the universities and or their professors.

The purpose of this writing is to show  how the word Greed can have a different shades to different economic beliefs.

No the price of oil is not inflated by 🤑 but by supply and demand. You would think that other makers of baby formula would pick up the slack, perhaps 🤔 because Abbot has such a large share of the market the other manufacturers don’t have the capability to produce any more ( this may be due to the fact that Abbot discounts to state governments for the WIC program it’s hard for the other companies to compete. Profits have gone due to the lack of supply, what the companies due with the profits should not be the concern of the government ( I think that companies should pay down their debts or say for a 🌧 day).

No way that the unions chased away manufacturers with 🤑 demands, we can not live on anything close to what is paid to some overseas companies. Good schools 🏫 with good teachers 🧑‍🏫 make the property values rise and those goofballs who who complain that teachers 🧑‍🏫 only work 10 months they should try working with unruly people, and trying to get the best out of our youth. Private  Universities do charge to much, but they are in competition and I don’t believe that professors or paid too much.

 Political parties don’t speak the same language in United States. What do I mean by that don’t we all speak English. When it comes to things like abortion one side talks about unborn, the other side talks about a woman's right to chose. Neither side talks about the same thing.

 Even something as simple as gun control to stop the killing as one side says and the other side says the constitution says it’s my legal right( BS the constitution doesn’t say that).

 Immigration rights are totally different for if you listen to one side of the argument ( take away jobs, criminal elements are coming in) The other side says opening up immigration is the humane thing to do.

( The immigrants do the rotten jobs that Americans don’t do).

 Once side calls the other side socialist ( even though they have no idea what a socialist is). The other side calls it’s opposition Nazis.( even though they have no idea what a Nazi is) 

 Maybe I’m being a little simplistic but hopefully the reader gets the idea. In order to have common ideas we have to start talking with the same language.

 I keep hearing from the chicken 🐓  little economist inflation is out of control and the must raise interest rates to bring it under control. Are they for real 😮. The rationale of these chicken 🐔 littles is that if you starve the money supply, people will have less money 💰 and the price of goods and services will come down. If you believe that premise I have a bridge I want to sell you. ( Boy 👦 I am going to make a Fortune because there are so many fools out there and many of them are economists who should know better). 

Now let’s assume that the Federal Reserve doesn’t do a thing, the price of goods and services will be out of reach for many, there by cooling the economy down, which in turn should stabilize prices, creating the same goal as the Federal Reserve raising interest rates and selling its assets.

Unfortunately this inflation is about lack of goods, especially gasoline and natural gas. This inflation is also about the inability to deliver goods to retailers in appropriate time. The inflation that we are suffering is also about Drought and food. It’s also about war. These are nothing that the Federal Reserve can do about. The Fed doesn’t drill for gas nor oil. The Fed can’t deliver goods that are waiting to be delivered and the last I heard the Fed doesn’t grow food, nor does it have the ability to end wars.  The best that Fed can do is try not to make matters worse. The Fed should stop listening to those nerves 😳 nellies and do nothing.

 Why oh why is Baby Formula missing from,  the shelves of stores that normally would be so stacked with formula that they would be given it away.

 And speaking of which why are certain states such as Kansas and the communist state. of Texas are really hurting. Perhaps 🤔 there was state government interference? And when a plant went down for a particular formula the carriers couldn’t handle it.

 Oh the shame 😢 of it all. The cost of drugs in the United States 🇺🇸 is way higher the the rest of the world 🌎. Well it must be true that we pay outrageous prices that the rest of the world 🌎 doesn’t pay 💰. Of cause I don’t know what the rest of the world 🌍 pays for drugs but I do know that in the states there is  a disparity in what we citizens pay for drugs depending on what your drug plan. Now drug plans bargain the price of drugs by being so big that they can reduce the price of drugs, so it’s extremely hard to know what the true cost of medicine is in the United States 🇺🇸.

 The cost of ⛽️ gas in America can be discounted if you own a gas ⛽️ card and it’s hooked up to a supermarket and or restaurants, you can get any where from 2 cents to several dollars 💵 off the price of gas ⛽️ depending on how much you had spent at the supermarket and or the hooked up restaurants. I’m assuming that a person would buy groceries and go to the restaurant anyway.

****I have offended wondered if the drug companies and the gas companies make up the profits that they lose by these discounts by charging more to those who aren’t hooked up to the correct drug insurance, or in the case of gas companies hooked up with the right partners.

 The reason I call the Republican Party, the New New Republican Party is because it changed its stance on the new old Republican Party. The new old Republican Party was conservative with a strong belief in States Rights, now the Republican leader in the Senate has stated that if his party wins he see if  he can have anti-abortion bill nation wide, so much for states rights. The New, New Republican Party is telling businesses what it can and cannot do, that’s not very conservative, unless you want to call communism conservative. 

The New Old Republican Party was conservative not wanting moderates, like Nelson Rockefeller. Even though the majority of the Republican Party didn’t believe in abortion there is no way they would have said there might be a federal law banning abortion in every state.

The Republican Party of the 60s and 70s were headed up by conservative like Barry Goldwater who integrated the Arizona National Guard, integrated, the congressional cafeteria, and believed in LBGT rights. Richard Nixon who created affirmative action and wanted to have a negative income tax.

 Let me get this straight Western counties are claiming that no country should buy Russian gas or oil because it fuels Russia’s war with Ukraine ant Now Russia is cutting off oil and gas to Poland it’s black mail. This writer is totally coming confused. Why would Russia not sell oil and gas to Poland to help finance it’s war with Ukraine and why would West counties complain about not getting gas and oil from Russia if they don’t want to buy oil and gas from Russia because it helps fund Russia’s war with Ukraine, which they said they shouldn’t buy in the first place? Why would Russia not sell oil to Poland when it needs the money to fund its military?

 Women make less then men. Does that mean that women doing the same job make less then men? Does that mean that a lot more women go into lesser paying 💰jobs then men? The same can be said about darker skinned men then lighter skinned men, is it the job they have? That being stated it’s only one kind of pay inequality. What about bosses making a lot more then there workers. That can’t mean front line bosses, after all it’s not uncommon for a front line boss to make less then those he or she supervisors, no overtime pay.😝 

 Now let’s talk about retired civil servants, the President of the United States makes 10 times more then my family of civill servants in retirement and that includes my social security, is that fair? ( yep )

 Let’s talk about a certain lecturer who only makes 35,000 dollars 💵 talking about wealth inequality while a person I know makes 350 dollars 💵 talking about how to get a head in life. Is that fair? ( probably).

Texas recently slowed down trucks coming into the United States 🇺🇸 Interfering with businesses who depend on people imports. These very communist rulings by these governors who call themselves  conservatives are an interference in capitalistic enterprises are worse then the Peoples Republic of China 🇨🇳. His solar can company loses hasn’t had a profitable quarter yet, his boar company another over priced company hasn’t made a dime ( and I was so hoping that for it to succeed ).Star link, I haven’t heard that it makes a profit. Space odyssey or what ever his space exploration c pant is called is also a money loser. Even Tesla hasn’t started to pay off it’s principle.

Steve’s Barking; Elon Musk‘s is lucky 🍀 he will not be able to buy Twitter?

 There are reports that Elon Musk stated that he wants to buy Twitter for 43 Billion $ . 

 Now assume that he sells more shares os Tesla ( let’s say 30 billion $ worth) he would have to pay capital gains tax on the shares he sells that could add another 4 billion or more to the price. If Mr. Musk sell shares in Tesla the price of Tesla stock will go down ( by a lot according to my thinking) by a lot.

If by some strange chance he is able to borrow most of the money 💰 it will still really boost the cost of buying the stock. 

 What else is wrong with buying Twitter? Does Twitter make a lot of 💰? No Twitter is a money loser 👎.  

There is no longer a value of a market cap 🧢, who knows the value of Twitter might even be less then 10 Billion 💲. I’m just thinking 🤔 if Mr Musk wants to throw money money way, toss some my way.

Steve’s Barking; Why are they trying to con me?

 Recently I received the phone call telling me that they have my property and they wanted me to pay ransom to get it back. Now the property they said was a package that was left by my door. I told this women if you took my package you must be a crook and I guess I’ll have to call the police. The line went dead. The next week I got a call from someone claiming to be from a law firm and I had just won the publishers clearing house. I told this Man that that seems very funny I didn’t fill out any sweepstake entry form. The other side of went silent.

I’ve been receiving emails from democratic party candidates telling me how much they needed just a few of my measly pension dollars. There Republican was raising so much money and they get their money from the zillionaire’s.  I Usually just ignore these request because let’s face it I have to be very frugal with my money. Well anyway I decided to look at Open Secrete the web site that states how much money a candidate receives in donations and how much they spend. Now a congress person who is next to my district and who complains about how the other side is gunning for this person seems to be a hypocrite when this person raised in the last election almost twice what her opponent raised and spent twice as much as her opponent even though this was election was almost a sure thing.

Got a call today from someone who claimed to be doing a Survey about the upcoming election in my district. The first three minutes was OK but then the person who is doing the survey started slanting the questions against one of the candidates. This isn’t the first time this is happening. The last time this had happened I did a protest vote and voted against the candidate who I felt was slanting the survey against the  other candidate.

 Oh I’ve heard it for over 60 years now, college Coaches who make over $1 million or more, much more is totally 💯% over paid, especially in a state run school 🏫 like Alabama. These school pay 💰 there coaches over 500 hundred % or more then their adjacent  professors. Where’s the justice, were is the equity. A football 🏈 program can spend more money  💰 then some English departments where’s the equity in that. Ah but a successful sports  program can more then pay for itself  in ticket sales and television rights bringing money 💴 to the school 🏫 that it otherwise would not get. What else does popular sports bring to the school 🏫, how about alum donations 💲 even some that don’t pertain to athletics. It can even bring in students from other parts of the country that can overpay for going to that particular school. Can a successful English department lay claim to brining in more more money 💵 then it lays out. Perhaps a great 👍🏾 financial department can show the rest of the academic departments straight.

 Conventional wisdom tells us all that  spending money ( tax payer money) is a waste of money 💸 . Well ya can take that money 💰 and use it to help build a better infrastructure, help feed the poor, better schooling, or even give some of that money back to the taxpayer. Of cause we have the argument that taxpayer funded stadiums pay for themselves, versus 🆚 the stats they say the stadium never, ever pay for themselves, even though it helps to create jobs, or at least hold on to jobs that a stadium 🏟 in still in existence I thought the owners threaten to move if a new stadium isn’t built. What’s not stated in these arguments are civic pride ( that must be worth something) . What also is ignored if an area wants to bring new businesses in to the area a sports Arena is a great 👍🏾 selling point.

 This crazy writer 🖊 thinks 🤔 that the shut down of ports in China for a month might be a good thing.

WTF how is that possible? Well let’s assume that it helps clears up America’s 🇺🇸 Western ports for fewer ships🛳 carrying goods will be waiting. The cost 💲of holding goods on ships 🛳 will go down. After the movement of goods already in ports will be moved (?) and the back log will eventually disappear(?).

No Covid virus 🦠 shut downs in China 🇨🇳 might not be the end of the world 🌎 economically, it maybe 🤔 even a good thing.

** The shut down of China’s port that would alleviate back loads in American ports will take a lot more than one month, and China still has many of it’s ports open.

 Shanghai is in a total lockdown because of COVID-19 or omnicrom, what ever the latest Variant is. One would think that you could open the city because  it doesn’t seem to be that life-threatening and in fact you might want to have you citizens get a mild case of COVID-19. One would think 🤔 that total lockdowns are down right foolish. This is something COVID-19 that is that’ll be around for a long long time and there is no way at the present time to prevent anybody from catching the only thing one can hope for Is that the populace doesn’t get deathly ill. We can give shots for the Covid illness that hopefully makes one who gets COVID-19 have only a mild reaction to it. In my way of  thinking 🤔 The worst a government can do is have a total lockdown. You’re only prolonging the disease.

Steve’s Barking; The rise of interest rates is inflation 🤷‍♂️?

 Oh my goodness the conventional wisdom says that in order to fight inflation the central banks must raise interest rates to cool the economy down. I, part of the unwashed says that raising the interest rates has just the opposite effect. Raising the federal rate causes companies to borrow at a higher rate, forcing said companies to raise their prices, causing inflation to rise.. Oh my if the price of goods rises, guess what, you have inflation. Oh there’s always the possibility though slim as I think it is that people will slow down there unnecessarily spending, which may even force many of those businesses  to go out of business, or at the very least lay off many of their workers.. 

The fewer the businesses  and or the fewer the workers to produce goods the higher the inflation because there will always be a demand for certain goods such as groceries, clothing and housing. Let’s assume that the consumers percentage of wages goes toward housing, clothing and food goes up, two things are going to change, savings will go down and or unnecessary purchases such as travel and cable purchases will decrease. 

*There is going to be food inflation because of the Russian Ukraine war, Raising interest rates will make things worse.

 I keep reading that workers👷‍♀️ can work from anywhere if  they are stem workers. NYC’s midtown office buildings are half empty. Meaning that less peoples are working in midtown. The New York Post and the Wall Street Journal keeps saying that people are leaving New York in droves. The older folks who are retired are selling their condos to head to Fla.🙀. If this is all true why are the rents going through the roof🤔,in NYC. Supply and demand after all.

Steve’s Barking; US can decrease inflation but will not

The United States can decreasing by granting several billion dollars to companies that have kept their wells in the oil fields. By doing this all the world will be flush with oil. It would be a punishment for Russia for invading Ukraine Plus the fact that it will decrease inflation all over the world because the world Will have more oil than they know what to do with. Of course the United States will not give grants to open the old wells because it also means fracking. The biggest problem is that there are too many people who are trying to stop the burning of oil and even complain about fracking for gas.  Of course these people do have a point they want to stop global warming. Oil burning puts too much CO2 into the air. They also claim that fracking creates earthquakes. 

Too help the Ukrainians the world must stop buying Russian gas and oil, without the United States producing oil and gas in great numbers, the world will most likely suffer hyper inflation. Hyper inflation because of lack of oil and gas can be a killer especially for the poor.

The burning oil and gas contributes to global warming. One might say, kill me now or kill me later.

 Russia invaded Ukraine. It started something that made it worse then the battle for Ukraine. Because of a battle and the heavy Losses that Russia received from what should’ve been a cakewalk and when the soldiers return home there can and probably be major problems The invasion most likely will so the seeds of discontent. Russia now has to look toward Belarus  who disgruntled citizens  will likely become embolden by the Ukrainian resistance. I know not much about the Asian portion of Russia, but it wouldn’t surprise me the populous might also be disgruntled with Moscow rule.

Steve’s Barking; 2022 Election with a troubled 😟 Democratic Party

 The economy is in shambles with high inflation, high unemployment rates and businesses can’t find workers 👷 (?) . Crime  seems to be rampant.🦹‍♂️ It’s not uncommon for the party that’s in control to lose seats in congress in an off year election. Unfortunately for the Democratic they hold a slim majority in congress 🏛. 

 Now it looks pretty dim 😔 for the Democratic Party. The only saving grace for the Democratic Party is the Republican Party. If the old time Republicans win primaries there is a good chance the Trumpets might not vote in the general election. If the Trumpets win 🏆 their primaries the old line Republicans might not 🗳 vote in the general elections. Now because of voter suppression by the republicans the anti Republicans might just come out in droves, give the Dems a slight chance to increase their margins in congress.

 Reading reports in the news almost every week that N Korea has been testing missiles and other super offensive weapons in plain sight. Now the first question would be how can this poor, poor country develop this weapons? Why would they test them in plain sight? 

 Is N Korea like cats that puff themselves up so that other cats wouldn’t bother them.

 Are these test really N Korea’s or are they China’s, that China wouldn’t like the rest of the world to acknowledge that they are testing?

 Oh my goodness, they suspended the whoop master about not understanding about the holocaust and how the Nazis used the excuse that Jews came from an inferior race.  

 No ABC should not have suspended Ms. (stage name) Goldberg but have used it as a learning experience, that racism isn’t a black and white issue. 

 During World War II the Japanese gave one of the excuses to attack China was that the Chinese were from an inferior race.

 The Nazi called Slavs an inferior race. 

 Even in the Untied States some WASP tried to keep the Irish out because they were an inferior race, Later on there were those in America who tried to keep Polish people out claiming they came from an inferior race. Same is true with Italians and Eastern European Jews were an inferior race. We called Chinese an inferior race, same as the Japanese people.

 In modern day Africa there are tribal wars, while I’m not positive about this some of these tribes are attacked with the excuse that they are an inferior people.

 My opinion is that racism is a form of tribalism and those who use race are  trying solidify with other tribes who are more similar in characteristics then those of those other tribes.

 

* I believe that we must rethink what race really is, it not just black and white.

 Me think 🤔 there too much protesting about gerrymandering! Yea everybody wants to “rig” the election process in their favor. They take the voting patterns of the pass ten years and rig so they get the most seats 💺 at the table. Now you may ask how do you change that? Well why don’t you try to prove that it may be in the best interest to vote for the other person because they would be better off voting for the person in the other party.

* ✋ stop 🛑 complaining and do something to change the way the voters who vote the other party vote for your party.

Steve’s Barking; Did you know that nature gas gives off methane into the atmosphere?

 Did you know that natural gas gives off methane into the atmosphere? Well neither did I.

 There was a study in California with a small amount of air bnbs that show that methane comes out of gas stoves. And in most cases it comes out even when the stove is off. Now I’m guessing that they didn’t have a control group of electric stoves to see if methane was in these homes too. I’m also guessing that these homes might be over methane deposits.

 Now New York State is prohibiting new homes from having gas stoves for environmental concerns, as if electricity is made from environmental friendly stuff.

 Now as far as I know natural gas burning is environmental friendly as can be. It has almost no known impact on the atmosphere.

Steve’s Barking; Lord please Save higher education from “reformers”

 The Squeaky wheels are at it again. 

 It’s seems like a bunch of comatose education reformers suddenly woke up and discovered legacy admissions in higher education, especially the more prestigious schools. Now this “reformers” claim that this is unfair that there are set asides for legacy students and the children of large donators.

 Now think about this, many of the poorer students are subsidized by the endowments of these prestigious schools. Can the poorer students black and brown afford to go to these prestigious schools even with Pell Grants.

 Can these prestigious schools hirer prestigious professors with only tuition.

 Can these prestigious schools do research that benefit’s mankind without these large endowments that mostly only bring prestige to these schools.

 Isn’t one of the major importance of going to a prestigious school is to net work with the children of the powerful.

 Now if these so called reformers can explain to me why the rich alumni should give to the school without some sort of guarantee that their off slings could get a leg up I’m all ears.

*** Do most black, brown and Asian students intermingle with white students, if not then why not.

***These prestigious universities are private institutions, it’s a slippery slope( please don’t equate that statement with can’t eat at lunch counters, or sleep in private hotels, it’s not the same) if the government tells that a school can’t set aside seats.

*** Asians are suing some Ivy League school for limiting their number because of set asides for black and brown students.

******Do a mental exercise, let’s assume that the incoming class of 1,000 students and 100 ( or 10%) are set aside for legacy students and students of large donors. That leaves 900 seats for every other applicants.

If that is an almost yearly occurrence, the real class is 900 students. If one figures it that way there really is no discrimination in class selection because of legacy and donations.

 We had a Great Recession at the end of 1920

 Now if my history memory is right we had a recession. Though it didn’t last very long.

 The whole point of this exercise is to point out that inflation generally comes after things like war and pandemics. One ( the government) has to be very careful what one does or a worse economic happening will happen.

 The labor department said there was just under 200,000 new jobs created.

 The FED said today there going to reduce their balance sheet!

 The  FED today said there will be 4 rate hikes this year.

 What does that mean to us credit card holders? Are our interest rates are going to go up?

 What is going to happen to businesses that have been borrowing at astonishing low rates,?(It’s almost free money).

 Is the change in the FED’s policy going to hurt companies like Tesla, which I assume will have to raise the price of it’s cars, and Amazon prices to meet the new interest rates.

 How many companies are going to go out of business?

 Are we going to end the Covid recession recovery by going into a deep depression?

 Now if history serves me right, didn’t the Federal government start easing on the New Deal programs because the number showed that the country was coming out of the Depression, of course the easing of the  New Deal made things worse then they were prior to when Roosevelt took over as president.
