Steve’s Barking; Did the Democratic Socialist kill the Democratic Party for”me”

  I think of myself as a pretty loyal Democrat. 

 Yea, I know I have on occasion voted for a Republican candidate.

 But I have donated to the Democratic Party, and I used to be a card-carrying member of the Democratic Party.

 I even belong to the local Democratic Club.

 Well, the Democratic Socialist has endorsed a candidate who has insulted me and attacked me ( though not personally).

  This candidate has won the Democratic primary for New York’s 13th congressional district, beating the incumbent Democratic congressman while complaining about the money that outsiders are contributing towards him while outspending him. This Democratic Socialist clearly outspent him, getting most of her contributions from outside the district.

 Now getting back to how this Democratic Socialist has attacked me. She called all veterans war criminals, and I being a veteran indirectly called me a war criminal.

 Now how has this woman insulted me? She said that “black men” shouldn’t date “white women”. 

 Well, you might ask how this inference insults me. If you think about what she said, it’s the saying no commingling of the races, and I, a white man, married a black woman.

 Does one think that I should follow a party that doesn’t challenge its fringe that has attacked me and fellow Americans like me?

Steve's barking working in retirement

I’ve been asked how life is like after retirement. My answer is I didn’t retire from work; I just retired from getting paid for work. Now that I don’t have a nine to five I can devote more time to my real jobs. I’m a chauffeur, a low grade handy man, a wife’s secretary, a male escort, a date calendar and reminder for my wife, an ATM machine (honey I left my wallet at home) a dishwasher, a porter, my wife’s administrated assistant,physiologist, A dying cat (family says where’s the dying cat when I sing to the tunes on the radio), and last but not least comedian.

Why does it take a husband and wife to screw in a light bulb? The husband to screw in the light bulb and the wife to criticize.

Steve's barking at being duped again

Yesterday while looking at one of the many news blogs that I have an apps too an article stated Samsung was paying Apple was paying a Billion dollars in nickels for the patent infringement case it lost. Sending the nickels by 30 trucks. Like the idiot I am some times and also being tired I believed it and was trying to put the article on my Facebook page. Just to be on the safe side I check for other sources. The other sources showed me that it would be impossible to pay a billion dollars worth of nickels  in with only thirty trucks and it would take 20 billion nickels to make one billion dollars. That's probably more then all the nickels in circulation. Of cause I should have known better the picture net to the story was of pennies being dumped out of a truck.

 

Steve's barking at addiction

Unfortunately for me I have an addiction personality.
I sit down at the kitchen  table and for no other reason then there's food around I will eat even though I may not be hungry. I pay my bills in the kitchen. I watch the Jets and the Giants in the kitchen. I read in the kitchen. I even run to the kitchen when when I'm frustrated with the news and the talk shows on television. So that may be why I'm not at a good weight.
I'm addicted to watching men and women doing things with and to each other on the Internet. I don't know why but I am.
I listen to the news or watch it on the telly even the business news constantly, though it barley changes hourly.
I even smoked on a whim, and it took me forever to kick that addiction.
I've got a new addiction with two blogs, Naked Capitalism and Paul Krugman's blog.Why I'm so hooked on these blogs, I know not why, but I am.

Steve's barking Me vs the Tea party

Several weeks ago I wrote a letter to the local paper who had placed an opinion piece by the Tea Party.
Normally I wouldn't have cared what is written in the paper for I like to believe that I believe in free speech. In this particular case I questioned why the paper had put this opinion piece in the paper.
The reason I did this was to get confrontational with the Tea Party. Why would I want to get confrontational with any group especially when I believe that everyone is entitled to an opinion?
The answer is simple they are destroying the fabric of my country. I want to give the children and the grandchildren who come after me a fighting chance to make something of themselves.
I was hoping that someone more eloquent and smarter then myself would confront the tea party,  but so far I don't see anyone who's not preaching to the choir.


This is the first and I hope only time that I write something that'I have done and not just commentary
