According to press reports Putin has an 80% approval rating?
Putin has an iron clad fist on news reporting in Russia.
Putin has claimed down on opposition (just as Middle Eastern dictators did such as Saddum Husain).
When you have denied opposition and you run the news apparatus to believe that he had an 80% approval rating is hard to believe.
Now don’t get me wrong I have nothing again the Russian premier. He seems to have done a pretty good job for his people, including restoring pride and a better life for most Russians then when he took office, but given the fact that he controls information and doesn’t want anyone running against him(?) 80% approval rating is hard to believe.

Steve’s Barking; Being obese is good for
Being obese good for you if you believe the stats.
We in the Western World has never been fatter.
We in the Western World have never lived longer.
Therefore be obese is good for you.
If you go on that one statistic the correlation between be fat and living longer is that it’s good to be heavy. That of cause doesn’t take into account all the break throughs in science and cleanliness.
There might not be any correlation between being fat and longevity.
There might not be any correlation between lower taxes and an expanding economy.
There might not be a correlation between the exodus of people leaving hi tax states to lower tax states.
Fun fact the President of the United States has the worst eating habits. He will probably live for ever.
He’s probably the fattest president since Taft.
All hail fast food and soda.

Steve’s Barking; Bringing back corporate profits
The selling point of lowering the corporate tax in the U.S. is that corporations will bring back money (profits) from overseas
.Of cause they will after all the U.S cut its’ corperate rate by a third. American Corperation are going to post their foreign subsidies profits away from places like Ireland, Lichtenstein, and Paraguay that have corporate tax rate that are almost half of what the U,S. marginal tax rate will be because we reduced our marginal by almost a third.
Of cause American corporations are going to come home from places like Bermuda, and the Bahamas that have no have no general corporate income tax because we reduced our corporate income tax to 21%.
Of cause those companies that pay less then 20% presidently are going to go on an investment binge because they will now have to 20%.
Of cause the leadership of American corporations might be stupider then dirt. One never knows do one how crazy people are.

Steve’s Barking; It takes at least 2 to negotiate
Negotiations between the United States and a North Korea appears to have broken.
Well you can’t negotiate if one side doesn’t want too.
It appears that one side wants to prove that it will stand tall against the big bad a United States.
It appears that that’s their game plan.
Every thing they do is mostly for domestic consumption.
How can the leadership win in the eyes of their people if they appear to be sitting down with the big bad United States.
True diplomacy doesn’t appear any time soon.

Steve’s Barking; Belonging to the Bubble Wrap Party
I’m a registered Democrat, that makes me a member of the Bubble Wrap Party.
If you live a normal life and you do something that slightly wrong, such as accidental touching a butt you become ostracized.
If you have different beliefs the bubble wrappers try to stifle you by putting your words in bubble wrap.
Bubble wrap is the stuff you pack fragile stuff as not to let it move.
I’m embarrassed by the Democratic Party the handling of Al Franken affair. This Party is not the party of fair play.

Steve’s Barking; The Proof of the pudding
A major tax cut for some will or will not grow the economy.
Will there be a major exodus from New York and other high tax states?
Will the economy contract because of major borrowing to run the government?
Will the majority be hit with a major tax decrease? Or will it be so minor that the middle income people will hardly notice it?
Will the next couple of years bring about horrible stagflation?
Only time will tell if a tax cut will hurt but or help the economy.
The proof of the pudding s in the tasting.

Steve’s Barking:Why a two state solution ( Israel and Palestininian)
I don’t get this idea of a two state solution between Israel and the Palestinians, why not have a four state solution, Jewish, Sunni, Shiite and nonsectarian, with a mutual defense pact, ( Kind of like NATO) and an economic pact such as the European Union.
I’m dreaming of cause.

Steve’s Barking; And the world as we knew changed
There is a world revolution going on.
It started slowly, with the collapse of several stable Arab nations.
Then the unthinkable, Great Britain voted to leave the European Union.
The anarchist took over America, now the truly unthinkable happened, Germany the most stable country in the world can’t form a government.

Steve’ Barking; How can you trust a person who lets his family get a colonoscopy with out anesthesia
The esteemed President of the United States has hired his (without pay) and his son in law into his administration (WTF).Didn’t he realized that everything that they do and what they have done would be scrutinized . His sons try to protect him and say some really stupid stuff, putting themselves under scrutiny,
What’s wrong with that family, are they a bunch of masochist? They seem to like to let the world look,at their colons with out having anesthesia.

Steve’s Barking;Who in America mails in their taxes?
Tax code changes that have proposed by the Republicans are being so beneficial and easy for the average taxpayer that they can be done on a postcard. Now almost all taxpayers in the United States send their tax preparations by computer. So after filling out your tax form on a postcard your going to have sit a a computer and redo what you have put on the postcard on a computerized form.
Steve’s Barking; Pro Growth Tax Cuts, The GOP Must Be Crazy
The Republican Party wants to cut taxes, claiming this is pro growth, are these people nuts.
We have a falling unemployment rate with almost full employment. The GDP of America is fantastic.
The U.S. inflation rate is under 3 percent.
Let me try to understand, putting more money into peoples pockets will make the economy grow. Now as anybody with any common sence the best you can get out of this is an overheated economy.
What happens in an overheated economy the central bank raises interest rates. Raised interest rates slows the economy down. Going along with this reasoning, reduction in taxes actually slows the economy down in the long run.
Maybe America will get lucky and those extra bucks will go into paying off individual debt, or saving/ investing.

Steve’s Barking; Congress wants to dumb down America
From reading news reports of what Republicans want want to change in tax change (reduction?) they want to reduce interest reduction on interest from student loans. When asked about it Senator Stupid said what’s the problem, we need to pay for tax cuts and after all those damn colleges are nothing but liberal tools.

Steve’s Barking; The immediate future of the Republican Party is in the paycheck
Wether the Republican Party keeps control of the U.S. Congress is up to reduction of taxes and if the workers see it in their paycheck. If the average person see no reduction or an increase in their taxes they can say goodbye to the majority in Congress. Now if the average person gets more money in their pocket even if the rich get a bigger tax benefit.
A tax break for the populous could very well be bad news for the Democratic Party.
If the Republicans losses congress, bad news for the President. The long knives are out for him.

Steve’s Barking; The craziest healthcare system anyone could devise
Medicare is the craziest healthcare system anyone could devise.
We Americans pay taxes into this universal healthcare insurance starting with our first job To the last.
Only problem this isn’t healthcare insurance but really just hospital insurance for us old people, starting for most at 65. Now we have this option to buy a Federal insurance know as Medicare part B.
We senior pay 30% of the cost, the federal government pays 70% out of the general funds.
But this isn’t good enough, for most doctors will not except this amount so we have to purchase supplementary insurance. Now this still isn’t good enough, most of us still have to pay more money to the doctor. This is known as a co-pay.
Now we who have Medicare buy government insurance, then buy private insurance. After that we have to still reach into our pockets and pay the doctor some more. This after having payed our whole working life for hospital insurance in our old age. Now if this isn’t crazy I don’t know what is, with the exception that an overwhelming majority love it.

Steve’s Barking ; Speak loudly and carry small stick
My president talks tough, threatens various counties. You would think that he was the leader of North Korea, not the United States.
It is my contention that all this posturing From my president and North Korea is really for domestic consumption, rally around our tough leader against these really bad dudes.
When I see the posturing of these tin horn dictators ( no I didn’t just call the president of the United States a tin horn dictator) they remind me of a cat I used to have, he would hunch up to make himself bigger and scarier the he really to frighten other cats.

Steve's Barking; The malls are losing business
Woo is me, there is a slow down of buying at the malls. If I was to believe the economic pundits it's all because of Amazon and other on line retailers. Now hold on a minute, on retailing takes less then 9% of all retail. What else is happening? More people are retiring, and their income is reduced, while necessary expenses are going up. These are people who have the time to go to the malls.
What about recent (in the last five years) college graduates who are so straddled with debt that they can't make purchases on nonessential items.
I'm just saying that retail in big box stores may have other reasons for slowing down. Ya think?
Has sales at Amazon gone up the same percentage as sales at big box stores gone down?
Is Amazon selling at a loss just to get market share? Or can Amazon selling cheaper because of discounts it gets for buying in bulk for reselling, and the cost of storing, selling and shipping including (especially) the productivity of humans when you don't need associates so much less that it can make a greater profit then a retail store?

Steve's Barking; AmerIcan President's invisible job discription
The president of the United States has a job description just like every person who's a worker, or CEO. There is one part of the job discrimination that no one talks about, and therefore those who want the job don't realize what this dastardly thing is. If they understood this ugly part of being president they might no want the job. I therefore am doing my civic duty to tell anybody who wants the job that part of the job discrimination is to be made fun of by comics. It's also part of the job discription that what every you do and say is going scrutized by the press. You are going to be accused of all kind of dastardly deeds as every president has since George Washington. If you bring family into your in workings, they had better understand along with yourself that everything they do will be scrutinized under a microscope, and they will have a mental colonoscopy and it's not pleasant.
So unless you,and your family have thick skin or are masochist you aren't cut out for the job.

Steve's Barking; Why stocks should go down soon.

Barking; the 3% solution
Everyone talks about healthcare, but no one talks about how to pay for it.
The governments of Europe have a health care systems that are very underfunded. Now this is also true of the healthcare system of Canada. We of the other great North American country, the United States have a slightly less then 50% chance of having some sort of government health insurance, yet no one has suggested how to fund it until now. I in my infinite wisdom say that those who have or will have a government payee have a 3 percent dedicated income tax.
Let me be more specific this tax money can't be used for anything but what is related to healthcare. Not paying off debt, not roads, not military, but only what is medical that includes training doctors, making sure there's enough beds in an emergency. Things like hospitalization, doctor visit, medicine. Things that keep the governed healthy and alive.
When I write about income tax I mean all income, pay, selling of stocks, dividends, income from inheritance, and let's not forget business that have income before deductions.
*I realize that what I'm suggesting has almost a zero chance of happening, for my mind lives in a logical world but my body lives in an illogical one.

Steve's Barking; Selfish politics
What is this being discussed right now in politics is conservative politics, liberal politics, alt right and Progressive politics. What is not being discussed right now is selfish politics.
What do I mean by selfish politics. Well they used to say all politics are local and selfish politics can be considered part of the local scene. A local politician can help someone get a visa. They can help some one who has too many tickets and will not be able to work get some of those tickets dismissed.
The hope being that that those who get those favors will vote for and continue to vote for that politician.
That's always been the case, that's why senior centers are funded. Teen centers and clinics are funded. ( common knowledge ).
What not understood is negative selfish politics. Locally it might be the local politician who refused to take a call from a troubled constituent . No vote from that constituent .
On the national level it may be a Hillary attack candidate Barack Obama in the 2008 primaries, leaving a bad taste in the mouth of some of his fans. Again Hillary Clnton feminist surrogates who said that the young female voters for Bernie Sanders did so only to be around boys. Hillary needed those votes, but those voters were so turned off they didn't turn out.
Now I have a really bad taste in my mouth for the governor of New York Andrew Cuomo. Am I really going to vote for someone who when running for office stated my pension is too high playing along with those who hate government and especially those who,are civil servants.
Another example of negative selfish politics is women's equality coming on the perceived back of a white man. Well those men have a negative selfish political agenda along with those women who are their wives.
I'm laying it out, be careful of negative selfish politics.

Steve's Barking; Several Tax reforms that I would like to see
One person's tax reform is another person's tax inadequacy.
That being written, let me state some things that I believe should be written in any new tax code.
No taxes on mutual funds until the share holder sells it. (Treat mutual funds like IRAS).
No taxes on any home that is sold that the owner lived in, (even if it's a vacation home that the tax payer only used for 30 days out of the year), for two or more years.
No taxes on a antique vehicle that the owner used for primary transportation.
(1) It hardly seems fair for a small investor to foot the tax bill for a billion dollar corporation, and taxing the dividends and selling of assets would also hurt the small investor by reducing the value of the fund.
(2) Why tax a person selling of a home for profit when as far as I know you don't credit a loss when selling a home.
(3) If you by a vehicle that you use for primary transportation why should you be taxed for selling it for more then you paid when you can't take depreciation on the vehicle nor can you take a deduction if you sell for less then you paid.
* I don't own any mutual funds.
I don't own a home that I can sell for a profit.
I don't own a vehicle that I can sell for more then I paid for.
I do believe in fairness.

Steve's Barking; What does Freedom mean in the Senate Freedom Caucus ?
Does Freedom in the US Senate mean that a woman has the right to an abortion.
Does Freedom mean the right not be be hungry?
Does Freedom mean to be able to live we're ever one chooses ?
Does Freedom mean being able to walk or drive without being stopped and harassed by the government?
Does Freedom mean not having to worry about health care?
Does Freedom mean the right to feel safe in the streets with out worrying about a gun owner being drunk or deranged person that has a gun?
Does Freedom mean that my voice can be heard just like the billionaire?
If these aren't what the Senate Frredom Caucus represent maybe they should call themselves the Senate Fraud Caucus.

Steve's Barking; The Cato Institute or Monkeys on a String
The Cato Institute calls it self a libertarian think tank, but I like to think of those from Cato Instatute as just a bunch of monkeys like the monkeys in the zoo who pick at their butts and throw feces. Because they call themselves from a think tank, their feces throwing is taken seriously.
The Cato institute just like other so called think tanks are beholden to those who pay their bills.
They are for all practical purposes they are not independent for they are attached to those who hold their purse strings. So with something that hasn't been seen in quite some time called logic one can reasonably call those in the Cato Institute monkeys on a string.
If someone pays most of your bills your not an independent. So if you label yourself independent and take donations your not truly independent.

Steve's Barking; The possible destruction of American agricultural
My country has a great habit of shooting itself in the foot.
The great agricultural centers of the United States need food stamps so that many of the consumers n America can buy their products. Of cause they don't see it that way, they see it as food stamps as a give away program for of their hard earned cash.
Now let's assume that ten percent of wheat products in the US that at one time were being consumed are no longer being consumed because the poor can no longer consume them.
Now let's for argument sake assume that Russia and say Argentina start producing more agricultural products and they are not tangled in trade wars. American agricultural will be in sad shape.
Now as I remember from economics 103 if you start losing money on a product, the chances are many in those businesses go out ( Fewer Farms). Fewer farms mean fewer agricultural products ( Less wheat, corn, fruits and vegetables, now let's not forget products for us meat eaters).
Price goes up.
In 5 years, we'll be entering farm stagnation , fewer farms, and the price of farms goods going through the roof for us urban citizens.
So if we really hate America let's reduce food stamps. Let's get into a trade war so that other countries can make a killing at our expense of agricultural products.

Steve's Barking; Presidential badge of honor
President Trump enjoys tweeting. Mostly he enjoys tweeting about people whom he precious as doing him wrong. It appears that whenever he tweets negative about someone on the tube or even a network, it gives them notoriety and their ratings even go up. Now I may not be the brightest guy on this planet but it doesn't appear that he's effectively fighting back. In fact he appears to be helping out his perceived enemies.
The claim by the president and his minions is that he believes he is being lied about he punches back harder. No hitting someone with a pillow is only a pillow fight.
If President Trump was to tweet about me I would take it as a badge of honor. Of course no one ever tweets about me.
Of cause 60 million voters would disagree with me, they would say keep up the good work, but I would quote Bugs Bunny " What a maroon" our Preident gives aid and comfort to his so called enemies.

Steve's Barking; A roll with a hole in it doesn't make it a. bagel
There are lots of so called bagels out there. You can buy them opinion grocery stores that call there rolls with holes in them bagels. They weren't boiled before baking, therefore there not bagels.
There are people who like to call themselves conservative who complain about liberals. They automatically call someone who is a Democrat a liberal.
Well, the truth be known the last liberal in the White House was a Republican, and no President Carter and Clinton were moderate conservatives who had a couple of progressive ideas.
What about President Obama, wasn't he liberal. In my opinion he was just slightly to the left of Presidents Carter and Clinton.
We make generalizations about people, oh he's German, therefore he's a Nazi.
We make generalizations that in most cases aren't true.
Just because a roll has a hole in the middle doesn't make it a bagel.

Steve's Barking; The free enterprise system needs government
Despite what many think the free enterprise system needs government almost as much as it needs a form of capitalist system.
There are too many people who believe that government is a hindrance to the free enterprise system, but the facts get in the way.
If government just stopped monopolies that would be enough to prove the free enterprise system needs government.
If government stopped stealing that would be enough to prove that the free enterprise system needs government.
If government only enforced copyright laws, that would be enough to prove that government is needed for the free enterprise system.
If government encouraged lending to new companies in existing businesses, that would be enough to prove that government is needed for a free enterprise system.

Steve's Barking; The'll be shutting the hospitals
Passing the American Health Care Act will put probably put a third of all hospitals in America out of business. Ya didn't see that coming.
As I do recall Medicaid subsidizes hospitals along with doctor training, so I guess there's going to be less doctors too, along with fewer hospitals.
I guess we really don't need them doctors, after all we have those new things called walk in clinics.
Oh yea there subsidized by Medicaid. I just guess the poor subsidize the up middle income, or in other parlance the takers subsidize those middle income persons who call themselves conservatives.

Steve's Barking; What is Commie Lite
Commie Lite is something I made up.
I took the money economic system out of communism and took only the political system.
Dictatorial, and trying to crush the opposition in lies.
Complaining, insisting that those who oppose what they are about aren't truth tellers.
Whining that the system isn't fair.
Claiming that they and only they will help the proletariat. What have you go to lose (only your Chains). ( Sounds like Trump(ism) )
Blame others for your own faults.
Sound like a ten year old, after all he started.
The communist countries would have the adverb democratic before there name, the commie lites call themselves the opposite of what they are. (Freedom Caucus, Federalist, Constitutionalist etc, ect,ect.).
What I really call these modern day commies is Commie Bas***ds lite, which America's modern conservative movement has taken over.

Steve's Barking; Oh no they also have guns
There is a group and in American society who bullies and believes that they can get away with it, after all those darn liberals want to take away our guns.
This past week a gun "nut" from the left shot a gun nut from the right. The left dude was tired of bullying from the right. Of cause the bullies blamed the bullied. I guess America's right might be called Commie light.

Steve's Barking; Foarting down (the)Amazon
Amazon ( the company, not the river) is buying Whole Foods.
Report on a business channel, this is bad supermarkets.
Problem with that thinking. Supermarkets are also small margin business.
If Amazon borrows to buy Whole Foods that's a problem, if they use profits to buy Whole Food that's also a problem because Amazon's profits are slim compared to earnings.
Amazon is buying a a Supermarket that's running into trouble because all supermarkets are selling organic foods. They are selling it cheaper then Whole Foods.
Amazon has a great reputation of delivering goods.
All supermarkets are getting into delivery of food stuff.
Question how many consumer will want food delivered, especially produce without seeing it and feeling it first.
Can Amazon intimidate major brands to lower their prices?
Isn't Whole Foods losing customers for shoddy businesses practices?
Is the Whole Food customer the same as the Amazon customer?
Will the local farmer be intimidated by he New Whole Foods?
Can German Supermarkets undercut Whole Foods prices and quality?
Can Amazon survive high interest rates?
Is Amazon becoming a company that's too big to fail?

Steve's Barking; What the Bill Cosby trial should really be about
I' m disappointed with the Bill Cosby trial.
The real trial should have been about repressed memory and false memory.
If a person had such a terrible experience they would repress that experience. Rape would fall into that category. Seeing something in the paper could trigger that memory.
False memory, or a memory of something that really didn't happen. Hysterical things bring about memories that really didn't happen. My life isn't what I thought it would be. Oh that person as charged as a rapist. He ( she) must of raped.
This was big in the 90s were there was a large amount of people who claimed that they were raped by
their parents. After much investigation most of these claims proved wrong.
There were several psychiatrists who made a very good living make people believe that they were sexually abused by their parents.
This could be true in the Cosby case.

Steve's Barking; What if we didn't use the name Trump?
What would happen if our newscast never used the President's name, but would just use the term our president. Or the president of the United States. Would this change the way America is governed?
Whould this be a punishment for the the present president.
Everyone knows the name of the president of the United States, why do we need to call him by his name?

Steve's Barking; Hillary didn't lose the election because of the Russians!t
Hillary didn't lose the election the several weeks leading up to election eve, she lost the election in 2008 when she attacked Senator Obama, this wasn't forgotten by many African Americans despite support of African American leaders.
Hillary Clinton didn't lose the election becomes Comey, she lost the election when she said yes to taking the job of Secretary of State. Every mistake (perceived mistake) was magnified. If she wanted to be president she should have stayed senator.

Steve's Barking; There's just too many people in NYC
The conventional wisdom is if people want to come and live in your area that's a good thing.
If you don't believe me just look at the reverse when people leave your area there's panic.
Well I'm starting to panic , there is probably one million more souls in NYC then the infrastructure can handle. We have probably one of the best rapid transits in the world, but because we have too move so many people we can't handle it. One of our major problems is breaking down of our train system and it's almost impossible to fix properly.
If a person wants to take a car, oh darn it will take several hours for a fifteen minute trip.
Too much of our schools are in dilapidated schools, because we have so many students we can't move students around.
NYC is probably the only place in America that the shopping mall is packed. If your store can't make it here, it can't make it anywhere. Well that means even when you shop you treated like a sardine.
There are so many people, that those who clean the office toilets can't find housing. Boy those bathroom in offices are going to stink.
Me of mixed emotions, I love my city, and I want everyone to love my city, but I have no idea what we should do for the extra million people and possibly soon it may grow to an extra two million.

Steve's Barking; When will President Trump own the presidency
When will President Trump claim the presidency?
Pres you won. Stop acting like a loser. Stop whining about being bugged when you were running, you won.
Stop talking about other presidents, your the president now so stop talking like a loser.
Stop complaining about unfair reporting, if you had studied American history you would know that it's part of the job discrimination being criticized. If you can't stop and the heat get out if the kitchen.
If you want a better health care system have your administration design one don't leave it for others( congress).
If you want to change the tax system have your administration put up a plan not an outline, and if your outline is a plan defend it.
If I was advising the president I would have told him to tell the American people, yes my people had met with the Russians before the presidential elections, our relationship with them had been deteriorating, and when I became president I felt it would be good for the nation to be getting along with them. As for my advisors doing some work for foreign governments, well they had to make a living didn't they. As long as it didn't effect the job they were doing for America, and they weren't getting any benefits from foreign governments I didn't see anything wrong.
He should have come out on day one with this explanation.
Nixon had people meet with the North Vietnamese during the war, before the election.
Reagan's people met with Iran during the crisis before the election.

Steve's Barking; Remember Enron
Enron at one time was number 5 in market cap.. I say this as Tesla has Market cap that is higher then any other auto company.
Amazon is in the top five market caps but on a few of it's working parts carry the many parts.
Unfortunately for Amazon or at least it investors those money makers parts are highly competitive and there competition has money to burn and there better at this things like cloud then they are.
* I really don't understand why money making companies are told there not making as much as they should, and brick and mortar stores are dinosaurs. The brick and mortar stores pay dividends(?) yet panic in the city, sell, sell, sell. Amazon needs cheep money to grow, grow, grow yet it's buy, buy, buy.
Tesla never made money but it's worth more then any other auto company. Go figure.

Steve's Barking; The real third rail of American politics is ignorance
One keeps hearing that the third rail of American politics is entitlement programs. Nah the real third real is ignorance.
Ignorance of the pundits, ignorance of the press, and most of all ignorance of the voters.
We don't know our constitution, even though it's written in our native language English.
We don't know our history. Worse of all we don't know what those running for office really represent.
We the people don't know what socialism means. We don't understand capitalism means (most of us think that capitalism means a free enterprise system). We don't know that the he best economic system is mixed economic system so that the free enterprise system can flourish.
I call this the third rail of politics because no one challenges the wrong headed positions of ignorance of our laws. No one seems to know that we have a mixed economic system.
Question should everybody vote on judges and school board members, especially when don't know what they represent?
I know vote for every judicial position that comes up on the ballot and I don't know if the person I'm voting thinks that every man over 60 should be placed in a nursing home.
I vote for school board persons who may or may not believe that students should go to the bathroom during the school day.
I'm like most of my fellow Americans vote with ignorance. Should we be allowed to vote?

Steve's Barking; There's trouble in America's economic paradise!
There's trouble in America's economic paradise, for in two years from now my country has to start paying off its Social Security bonds!
What to do?
There could be a major default and not pay Social Security recipients there full Social Security! Did anybody say old people rioting in the streets.
We could raise taxes, that's not going to happen.
We could borrow the money by paying higher interest rates then are currently being paid to the Social Security trust fund.
The Federal Reserve can buy up these bonds, of cause there will be sudo economist, and a broad section of congress will have a hissy fit.
We can even do the kiss ( keep it simple stupid) thing and do away with the cap on Social Security FICA so that money keeps coming in and we don't have to pay the money that the government owes to the Social Security trust fund.

Steve's Barking; Is the world just fed up
Election time! It appears that all over the world the citizens are electing not the norm.
Is the world that miserable that we are raising our middle finger at the norm.
We no longer like the safety of the normal.
Britain leaving the European Union, the US elects a realty star( I don't know why we are surprised we already elected an actor to play the part of the president) and France will elect either a woman who disowned her father or a man who was a total unknown until recently.
If this is happened happening in the west, look out Russia, look out Israel, the people of this planet are board of the same old stuff, let's try something new.

Steve's Barking; New York just lost the war on drugs
Just saw a headline in my Facebook account that Governor Andrew Cuomo was putting up $200 million dollars of New York States money to fight the extensive opioid abuse. Now I know this is a losing battle because everything Captain Andy touches turns to sh*t.
Speaking of crazy stuff my favorite (I'm serious) state legislator is trying to pass legislation to ban football for children under the age of 14 at the same time he's gotten money to build a football field for the local football juniors under the age of 14.
I've known this legislator for some for time, he's extremely smart and excellent at delivering for his constituents. It only goes to show even the best of us can suggest contrary things.

Steve's barking; White House, too many bosses, not enough workers
It appears to this outsider that the DucksWhite House has too many generalist and not enough nuts and bolts type. You know the dudes and dudetts who can take a general idea and turn it into a program.
The White House will never come me up with a healthcare policy. Tax reform, we may all pass out by holding our breath for something to come out of the White House.
Foreign policy, seemy to change every day.

Steve's Barking; A I The end of economics as we know it
If those who claim that artificial intelligence will take over all the mundane task, the claims should be the end of economics as we know it is over.
We will not need workers to drive trucks, cabs, or buses. How many millions of humans will not have a pay check. Nor if you believe that machines will cook, serve and take our money, oh my, those jobs will be done without some one collecting a pay check.
If you believe the futurologists machines will build themselves. Oh I almost forgot we will no longer need any human to do farm work. Another industry that will no longer need us.
Doctors will no longer be needed for diagnosis, another human job taken away by machine. Some futurologist even suggests nurses will be come obsolete.
What about programmers, why it's been suggested that machines will program themselves. Another job people don't get paid.
So all that's said and done, no gets paid, no human has a job, and we cease to exist, for without work and a pay check we become the most useless of species.
Am I worried? Well everything that I've ever touched that has some sort of electronic component has broken down. Has a short, has some glitches, so if go by me, complete Artificial Intelligence will not come to me.

Steve's Barking; Foreign trade (export, imports)
Foreign trade is not as imbalanced as some would have you believe!
We export things like tourism, foreigners coming to the states and we export our companies when foreigners buy stocks and bonds.
We export American treasury notes, we also import foreign treasury notes.
We import military bases (?) ( We spend money on those bases in foreign countries)!
If we only look at manufactured goods, yep the United States has a humongous trade deficit, if you look at the whole picture it might not seem so bad.
* Hopefully interwoven economies lessen the chance of war, but that would have to belong to another Blog.
** Do those who talk of trade deficits really know what their talking about?

Steve Barking; I'm thinking about running for mayor
Hey I'm thinking about running for mayor of New York City. I have statistical zero chance for winning. That doesn't mean that I have no chance of winning, it means I have less then 99 to the ninth degree chance of loosing.
Now why should anyone run if their chance of winning is just about zero.
Well I want to run a campaign about nothing, and New York needs a mayor candidate who promises nothing new.
I will not promise to have waterfront promenades in fifteen years when climate change indicates that the ocean will inundate the land next to the water.
I will not promise to close Rikers Island prison when crime is a it's lowest in decades.
I will not promise to have more low income housing by having tax abatement to those who set a side a marginal amount of housing for low income families when those taxes could be used to maintain public housing.
I will not promise to use my influence on elections North of New York City when I want home rule for New York and Erie County, Broom County, etc want home rule for themselves.
I will not ask to rule the school system, then farm it out to charter schools.
I will not promise free tuition to public colleges when those who just graduate (or didn't gradute but dropped out) have huge debt.
I will not promise new transportation when the debt we have for the transportation system we already have is making it unaffordable for many of our poor.
I will not ask for campaign contributions, why should the good people who believe in nothing, throw good money after bad.

Steve's Barking; A man ran against a woman in America's last election (sexist rant)
In the past presidential a man ran against a woman and the woman won.
(Stereotype).
The president whines when she doesn't get her way.
The president blames everyone else for her failure.
The president acts like she's on the rag.
The president claims to be a victim.
The president can't make up her mind.
Every excuse why a woman shouldn't be president sexist claim, our current president shows signs in his behavior.
I like businessmen who never complain, never explain, just like our current president said he likes war heroes who weren't captured.

Steve's barking; Get out, get out of health care stocks
Get out of health care stocks before it's too late.
Under the proposed healthcare bill by Paul Ryan insurance companies will lose money.
Younger male workers instead of buy health care insurance at a lower rate will forgo health health insurance. Bad for insurance stocks.
Older workers will forgo healthcare insurance because the price wold be prohibitive. Bad for insurance stocks.
There might even be less doctors, after all new doctors are paid by Medicare and Medicaid and guess what Medicaid is being reduced. Bad for hospital stocks.
There being no incentive for companies to offer health insurance to their employees. Bad for health insurance stocks.
Why should a person use their healthcare savings account when they can use the money in it to pay their doctors directly. Bad for health insurance companies.
The patient can possibly negotiate with their doctors.
"If" healthcare companies lose much if not all their profitability they have no one to look at then themselves.

Steve's Barking; Americans don't know Jack about their Health Care
Popular myths about Health Care in the US of A.
1. Seniors have paid into Medicare.
No us seniors have only paid into hospitalization part of Medicare, doctors are paid 70% from the general fund and 30% we pay in Medicare part B. Then we still have to have extra insurance.
2 The call of wild wants all Veterans to have VA health coverage.
I hate to tell my fellow Americans but all us veterans are entitled to the VA for health care. Because of budget restrictions we are put into categories, my category is 8( meaning Incan only go to the VA if I'm dead). Any one over a category 5 has to pay, and if you have your own insurance that comes first.
3. People from countries that single payer are coming to America for health care.
In 2015 it was estimated that 60,000 people came to America for health care. That same year it was estimated that 600,000 Americans sought health care in a foreign country. That doesn't bode well for Americans health care.*
4. Canadians come to America to get faster service for elective surgery.
It can take three to six months for knee surgery, darn, I can't imagine how long it must take in Canada. Oh and if you insurance doesn't cover it, and you don't have the money you're not getting it at all.
* Doesn't anybody know of health care tourism?
The estimates come from adding up claims from, India, Indonesia, Panama, Israel, and even Mexico.
Coming to America for health care estimates are from the State Department.
America is losing hospital beds, Wer're losing doctors because we're not training. We pay our interns from Medicare and Medicaid, and we're cutting back to save money.
America try to be competitive by putting one hand behind its back and having industries pY for employees health care.

Steve Barking; Will the Fed kill the stock market rally?
Will the raising of interest rates by the Federal Reserve kill the Trump stock market rally?
The unknown answer for me is how much is borrowed money and what the interest rate is on this borrowed money.
Quick question are some banks vulnerable if the stocks are too high and a sudden reversal leads too a sharp drop that much of the borrowed money can't be paid back?
Question if borrowing cost go up can many of our businesses that are leveraged meet it'snut?
Question, what is a reasonable cost of borrowing for companies that want to help build America's infrastructure that wouldn't be too high?
Question what is the line that the interest rates are too high?
* If things do go south I'm sure the know nothing know it all who kept calling the Fed to raise it's rate will blame the Fed.

Steve's Barking; Not my country
There are people the good old US of A who claim that the current president isn't their president.
Well since my appearance in the US in 1946 the year of my birth my country had proven grit.
We had too many problems but we had leaders who weren't afraid they made the changes.
We didn't complain, we fought to end segregation, and our toughness came through.
I as many of my fellow Americans went into the arm forces during a war that was unjust but my fellow Americans had grit. Our leaders by in large right or wrong we're not a bunch of whiner
We muddled through and eventually did the right thing. Oh crap 9/11 happened. We turned into a nation of crybabies and scaredy-cat. A nation of blamers. We even elected a president who acts like pussy in chief not commander in chief. A pussy who refuses to man up, The leaker of his administration is the past administration, so says the current president. ( What the f**k).
We're so cowardly we won't hold trials in for terriorist in America and are even afraid to put them in our prisons. We weren't afraid like this in World War II.
I remember how proud we were of open borders with our neighbors to North and South like no other country, now we're building walls.
No this isn't my country. Not the country I know and love.

Who'll.work our restaurants after all everyone unskilled worker will be working those high paying manufacturing job.

Then I'll make a. minor judgment because then his minor actions (that) which he is doing now will show up in my life and the life of most American. After that I'll wait for February 2018 that's when we'll see find out about his tax plans and health care plan.
I'll wait again to see if I'm right in my judgment's the following August.

Steve's Barking; I live in a fake world
I live in a world of fake news, fake quotes, fake history, fake fur, and let's not forget fake body parts.
Steve's Barking; playing roulette with taxes
Cutting income taxes will improve the economy. OK. There are three things that can happen when you give people more money. They could save it ( or gamble on the stock market), they can spend it or they can pay off their debt. These things can help, hurt or be indifferent.
Border tax, =higher prices or a very strong dollar. Strong dollar or a big hurt on travelers from foreign
countries. Stonger dollar cheaper energy and minerals as compared to every other nation. Good for some terrible for others. Then again it's not a given that the dollar would strengthen.
Inflation is a good possibility in a so called tax reform.
What will happen in a tax code is an unknown though intelligent thinking much of what is talked about in tax reform are economic disasters.

Steve Barking; It takes one to know one
The president has called the press very dishonest, as we who lived just 7 miles away in Queens it takes dishonest person to know dishonesty( a paraphrase).
Speaking of dishonest news isn't Breithbart the head of the class.
I know I can sound retarded some times, well it's the water I drank as a kid from the Jamaica Water company, the same as President Trump and Governor Cuomo. It made us slow.

Steve's Barking; Freedom not to listen
In America we have freedom of speech, that's written (?) in the constitution.
What is not written but is implied we don't have to listen.
This implied really right is taken by our elected officials very seriously, very rarely do they listen.
I don't just blame them, we the people only listen to what we want to hear and a lot about ft what we listen to is flat out lies.

Steve's Barking;Farming of the future,Vertical.
We as in the whole world is going through a major climate change. Not only that we're running out of good farming space. I have this crazy idea that what this world needs is vertical farming.
Possibly the farmer could grow four or more crops in the space that was only good for one.
What we will also need to do in the future is when one area is flooded, the area will open up catch basins. These basins would be able to sway when an earthquake happens.
There will be pipelines all over the world, also earthquake semi resistant that would move the flood water to drought areas.
In the future it may even be a fantastic idea to put a huge dome over the farms that are wind resistant up to 220 miles an hour. These domes would also sway so that they would be resistant to small earthquakes. These domes would also serve as a hot house for food sources.
For animal food source these domes could serve as a temperature monitor.
The water for agriculture would come from floods everywhere.
Maybe this crazy idea from this quack writer would be a great boom to China, Russia and the Mideast too.

Steve's Barking; Russia hacked the DNC, I'm shocked
Russia's intelligence hacked the DNC, I'm shocked. I'm really shocked that they are doing what they are supposed to do.
Now if if the US hasn't been trying to hack into Russia's political parties I'd be very disappointed and angry with our government for not doing their job.
Gee don't we hope for certain outcomes in counties. Don't we try to help these outcomes come into being. Friend and foe alike.
I'm shocked that they try to do the same. I'm truly shocked. NOT.
What did the hacking of the DNC prove? ....... The Hillary campaign was fill of dirty tricks..... Something that was suspected all along.........
If the Russians were the ones behind the hack and releasing DNC information, they did a foolish thing? This should make a redoubling of anti hacking by the US government. .? ? ? Sometimes we're just foolish.

Steve's Barking; How president elect Don Trump should end the Afordable Care Act
President elect should end the affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) by give congressional healthcare for all, payable by a 5% income tax. I said income tax not payroll tax.
This could be off set by having a bigger tax deduction in other places then is now being considered.
Starting in 2018, and ending the current health system then
To understand why I think this is a great idea one will really have to do their homework.

Steve's barking; US losing it's moral leadership in the World, and that's a good thing
My country is losing it's moral leadership in the world. We the self righteous who lectures the world on democracy and through out history denying groups from voting.
We tell other countries how to run their countries and when they listen to us their country falls apart.
We complain about journalists of other countries being bothered in other countries yet we have threatened jail to certain journalists who publish stories that they don't want out.
Just think if we lose our moral standing we will not be the first in battle.
We will not have to take a mirror to ourselves.
We can be introspective to ourselves, and do just the best we can.
The world might be a better place, and we might be better off.
