Steve’s Barking; Steve’s solution for the Russian , Ukrainian crisis( let’s not have a nuclear winter)

Let’s not have a nuclear winter!
This intrepid blogger has a suggestion,
Russian promises that that no more then 1000 troops with in 5 kilometers of the boarder with Ukraine.
Ukraine promises no more then 1000 troops with in 5 kilometers of the boarder with Russia.
NATO promises no offensive missiles in Ukraine.
Russia promises to look for Rogue hackers in Russia.

 * Crimea would vote on being a free state not a line with Ukraine or Russia. ( This may be hard to accomplish with the free citizens of Crimea)
 * Russia would get hydro electricity from Ukraine and Western Europe would be promised the free flow of natural gas.

🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤐🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🤔🤔🤔🤔

Steve’s Barking; Trouble in vaccine land

There’s trouble in vaccine land when it comes to COVID-19 especially the new variant Omnicare.
How can you convince people to take the vaccinations When politicians who have just taking a booster shots are coming down with COVID-19. Now they’ll say that it could’ve been much worse for them if they hadn’t had their shots. But that’s not going to convince those who are skeptical To get the shots in the first place.
The other problem is this how do they know how mild or severe the new variant is if they didn’t get their shots including the boosters.

Steve’s Barking; In America 🇺🇸 it looks like the communist won 🏆 the cold War

The way things are going it looks like the two primary parties in the United States 🇺🇸 have taken to do communistic attitude. The Republicans ( The Stalinists) are telling businesses that they can’t make their workers were masks 😷 or demand that they be vaccinated. Texas has a law taken from GDR to rat 🐀 on those who who help a woman get an abortion.
The Democrats ( The Trotsky‘s) are demanding from business that they make all their employees have vaccinations. And now the state of California is going full GDR ratting out anyone helping anyone who buys a gun.
Both political parties want to control the social media such as the Democratic Republic of China 🇨🇳 does.

**I remember when two communist that I knew ( one was a Trotskyist the other a Stalinist) would call each other traitor to the cause. They even had a fist fight.

Steve’s Barking; there is something strange in lactose land

There is a report that cream cheese is in short supply Next they will be telling us there’s a shortage of ice cream and yogurt. This is at the same time there’s an over abundance of milk. WTF.

( I’ve seen this first hand at my  supermarket, no cream cheese for my bagel, lack of yogurt brands and a short supply ice cream)

Steve’s Barking; The more money 💰 ya print the lower inflation 🤔

The more money ya print the lower inflation. Bolder dash, that impossible. Nooo it’s not impossible, if by chance the United States were to print money and give as grants to oil companies to open up the capped oil wells, guess what the price of oil should go down, never mind the price of fertilizer. If the government was to print money for training of truck drivers, the price of shipping should go down( supply and demand). Print money and give grants to farmers so they can buy, seed and feed the and price of food should be stabilized and possible even go down.

* Giving money away Willy Nilly can be in inflationary and probably is, but in my humble opinion giving money for the right reason can stop 🛑 an inflationary trend in its tracks, just as it one burns brush to stop fires 🔥.

Steve’s Barking; Labor and ADP jobs creation statistics differ widely again🙀

According to new job hiring in November was 530,000…300,000 more then what the US labor department said. I’ll ask the question again why the huge discrepancy…..Why am I the one ☝️ Who questions the difference? Again they both get their figures from telephone ☎️. The both sample businesses by phone. Is this a terrible 😣 method. Is there hanky panky  with the numbers….

Steve’s Barking; The death ☠️ of patriotism

You will not believe this, but patriotism is dying 🪦 just like it does every generation. It’s dying in America, this time because of Trump. No matter which sides of the Trump America your on, you believe in all your ❤️ that your the patriot and the all else are traitors. Now it would be one ☝️ thing if this was a Untided States problem, but there is signs of this self righteous patriotism in 🇨🇳 China and Russia too. There is even signs 🪧 of this in North Korea 🇰🇵, a place were you wouldn’t expect.
Now why does this fool of a blogger call 📞 this the death of patriotism when going against the government is a phenomenon that been happening since the beginning of history? Too much of this anger weakens the country 😿 were new entities come into being.

*Who is the true patriot, the government entity or the rebel entity?
** Damn , why is this blog so cryptic?

Steve’s Barking; Oh no, Russia is having trouble again!

 Oh my!

Russia is amassing troupe’s on the boarder with Ukraine 🇺🇦 once again. Generally when something likes that happens is a bad sign for the country that amasses troupes. The general feeling is that a country would do that if there is trouble 👿 in the mother country and the leadership of that country has got to put the population thinking 🤔 about something else, such as how terrible 😣 the Ukrainians are towards the ethnic Russians in Crimea. The problem is that the ethnic Russians might expect too much from mother Russia. No body really knows what NATO will do if the Russians openly go into Crimea.

How will this adventurism end? Perhaps 💣 the end of the world.

Of cause no one asked me how I would defuse the situation! Thank goodness 😅.

*** Check that, not Crimea. Russia already had Crimea, it’s Ukraine. Period.

Steve’s Barking; Panic in the nations ( Omnicrom Covid 19)

Covid omnicrom the new Covid variant has brought about panic 🙀. Oh my say the health care national health care organizations, it had more spikes then previous covid 19s. It might be highly contagious 😷.
It got to be worse then any other Covid variant. In the mean time no one who has this variant had been hospitalized. So far less the  💯 persons have caught this variant so far. The South African doctor 👨‍⚕️who discovered this variant reclaimed while it looks dangerous, it’s a very mild form of Covid 19. Would it be a kick in the head if omnicrom is the natural immunity for the deadly forms of Covid 19!

Steve’s Barking; The trouble 👿 with Build Back Better and infrastructure legislation

The trouble 😈 with infrastructure and Build Back Better isn’t the cost  though the nervous Nellies would have you believe that the problem.   Nooo the real problem is we don’t have the workers. These jobs require skilled and semi skilled workers. The United States for some reason doesn’t have enough people to over see the laying of concrete ( I know that there are many who will claim just  how hard can you be?).  I do not  see the amount of engineers  and designers  (architects) that can build the amount of bridges that need to be built.  We’re are we going to get the teachers to teach pre k? What about the trusted persons to mind the children 👶. Do we have enough persons?

* I know that the labor statistics claim the United States has a 5% unemployment rate ( I’m not sure 🤔 that can be trusted). I also know that there is a disconnect because there aren’t enough people willing to work at the jobs now.
** Perhaps 🤔 the underground economy is thriving ( I haven’t heard that in a long while).
In conclusion, my gut is telling me that the magic pen 🖊 might just not work and the secret 🤐 ingredient is more workers.

Steve’s Barking; The Rittenhouse problem

The problem with the verdict in the Rittenhouse case isn’t “white supremacy” it’s senile old judges.
What no denying what happen, a 17 year old white guy went to an out of his state place carrying a gun that is illegal to own and cary across state lines. Of cause the judge dismissed this charge.
Rittenhouse  said he was protecting a store that the store owner said he didn’t want any protection.
Rittenhouse preceded to walk down the street were he shot three people, two fatally and one seriously wounded. Rittenhouse claimed self defense, though I didn’t read in the paper that any of the victims were armed, even with a knife. Now the judge in this case has as in almost any case great leeway in charging the jury, it appears that in this case judge senile charged the jury to almost telling the jury to acquit.
My own personal opinion Rittenhouse was not guilty for reason of insanity.
Rittenhouse had no moral compass and I’m also wondering about the judge.
One of the major problem is the selection of judges and how much discretionary power they have.

Steve’s Barking; What will happen if the supply chain becomes unclogged 🤔

Every one and then some knows that the supply chain is bogged down. Every one with half a 🧠 understands that supply of goods are on the short side. Now the goods that have been manufactured have got to be paid for ( I’m pretty sure that I’m correct on that). Because they have to be paid for the price of said goods that are waiting to be shipped all over America, because the demand side is there the sellers of the manufactured goods can and must raise the price 💰👆of the goods. Oh the ugly head 🤪 of inflation shows up. Now what happens if by some miracle in the next several months the supply ⛓ be comes unclogged. The goods that have been waiting to be delivered are suddenly delivered 🚚. 🤔 Suddenly there are too many goods on 🖐. I guess that many a-manufactured good will have to go on 🧾 sale. Would that mean that said manufactured good would be part of a deflationary trend?
 * Would many a retailer go out of business if the cost of borrowing rise too much and the price of goods most go 👇because the demand isn’t as very 💪 any more.
** I really don’t profess to 🤷 know what will happen if the supply chain would end after the holiday🎉🎄🎁 season? It’s anyone’s guess if the supply chain be comes untangle and there’s a surplus of goods.
It’s the one thing that nobody seems to be 🤔 about but it could be a problem.

Steve’s Barking; The great resignations ……… of the 70s

He the shame of it, people today are actually quitting there jobs.
Of cause the know nothing analysts have many reasons why!
Now let me tell you a story of an army vet (me) who found himself working in a bank and said oh crap, I want to see the world some more so he got up and left and spent 6 months on a kibbutz. Found that I wasn’t that unusual, many of my peers  did the same thing. But after a while I decided to go back to the states and earn a degree. While earning a degree and working at night I got the urge to live in England, another not that unusual occurrence. Came back to the state , went to school and worked for the state of New York. I stayed with the state while many of my co -works just got up and left.
No the great resignation of 20-21 is not new. The reasons may be new, though I doubt it, everybody has a different reason in the 70s and I’m sure there are many reasons to leave a job today.

Steve’s Barking; My racist mouth

I say that’s like the pot calling the kettle black!

Innocuous as these phrases are they can be considered racist!

Steve’s Barking; A well regulated militia(2nd amendment to the United States Constitution

Why oh why did the writers of the U.S. constitution put the in the second amendment “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state” The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. A reasonable person would ask the question why put into the amendment anything about a well regulated militia if the writer(s) of the second amendment wanted any Tom, Dick, and Harriet to have weapons. Why not just say so.
Unfortunately despite giving out degrees from prestigious universities we seem to know so little about our history.
I can pretty much guess accurately that most of Americans do not know of Shay’s rebellion and that the militia had to break into the Armory to get guns.
Now I’m pretty sure that the founding fathers of the United States knew about Cromwell and he had his Army well armed keeping the populous under his thumb. Ya think that why there might have been among the among the early leaders of America that they had a healthy distrust of a large standing army that was heavily armed.
Ya think that maybe the second amendment to the constitution was a compromise to protect the nation while not having a large heavily armed standard army.

*** We have had gun control in America for years. Tommy guns were all but outlawed in the United States by having huge licenses on owning a Tommy gun. In the western towns there were ordinances against carrying guns in town ( in the Western movies when the marshal or the sherif asks the cowboys to turn in their guns.it was based on actual ordinances).

***I would think that it would be a good idea if supreme court justices hired law clerks who were English majors and history majors when getting their Bachelor degrees.

Steve’s Barking; The buying of money 💰

For the past decade or a little longer the cost of 💰 has been dirt cheap. Companies such as Amazon and Tesla were able to to borrow either through banks 🏦 or the selling of businesses bonds. The cost has been pennies. Now the know it all are demanding that the federal reserve raise rates. Whoa is me if one 🤔 thinks that inflation is high now what do you think 🤔 will happen when these companies have to raise their prices to keep up with the cost 💲 of money 💰. Will some major companies go under? There by having fewer items. Will the cost 💲 to consumers who buy on credit make stuff unaffordable to them. Will buying a house 🏡 be out of range for many because the mortgage 💸 is too high. Maybe 🤔 eventually the cost 💲 of housing will come down but the real cost will be too high for many to buy. Demand is always there. I haven’t seen any greater increase in demand, what I am seeing 👀 lack of goods. Now if one ☝️ thinks that having the cost of money 💰 rise will bring inflation under control I have to question you intelligence.

Those who want the federal reserve to raise interest rates may not realize the consequences. America 🇺🇸 maybe 🤔 in-for a worse economic crisis that would put the Great Depression to shame.

Steve’s Barking; Tesla, how is Tesla producing all it cars? 🤔

Question of the day, how the heck is Tesla getting all it’s chips to produce all the cars that it’s delivering while all the other car companies can’t produce enough cars because there is a shortage of chips. 🤔

Steve’s Barking; Congressional Healthy Care Plus, for all

We the people of the United States should demand Congressional Healthcare Plus for all of Americans.
The congress of the United States gets to chose over one thousand insurance companies. What makes congress persons so special and more privileged  then the rest of us citizens.
Congress also can get eye and dental coverage, why can’t the rest of us have the same privilege as congress?
Who made congress people the chosen ones when it comes to healthcare?

**** I  keep hearing some politicians pushing Medicare for all. Medicare is the worst devised health care
System. One payed taxes through out their entire working life for hospitalization insurance once they hit 65. Of cause it doesn’t pay for the doctors even know n the hospitals. You  have to buy Medicare part B for doctors, but Medicare doesn’t pay it all, so those on Medicare have to buy supplementary insurance and the Medicare patient still had a co pay and if there are several procedures one has to pay co pay for each procedure. Oh the other thing you might have to buy drug insurance and pay co pay on drugs.

***** Congressional healthcare plus should also include subsidies on a sliding scale to those who can’t afford what federal workers pay for their part of healthcare insurance.

***** Now I know that there are some Chicken Littles out there, screaming we can’t afford it.
We’ll let start by saying every ones property tax would go down, .We would no longer have to pay Medicare tax.  The general fund would no longer have to pay Medicaid. So the cost to the general fund would go down for healthcare.

(Ideas)
Have a tax on business, with  10% discount on what the average business pays for medical coverage.
Have a 2% tax on ghoul income ( estate tax).
Have a 1/2 a percent tax on stock transfers.
I’m sure one can think of other penny taxes that will make up the differences that will pay for Congressional Healthcare Plus for all and help train new doctors and nurses.

The additional cost is not as high as those fear mongers would have one believe.
Much of the tax cost would be offset by reduction and eliminating other taxes and costs that go into our current healthcare system.

Steve’s Barking; Trump and that golf course🏌🏿‍♂️ in the Bronx

The Trump organization runs the ⛳️ course in Bronx NY.
As far as I know the know it’s a wonderful ⛳️  course.
As far as I know the organization pays it bills 💸 to the city on time
Now I understand that the mayor is 😠 with Trump because of January 6th.
My humble opinion that’s tough 💩💩. The Trump organization didn’t break the contract, it appears to this layman’s  👀  that the city is wrong!!! I’ve been told that this country 🇺🇸 is a nation of laws, and that includes contract law. It a appears through my 👀 that the mayor wants the city to be a contract  lawbreaker.

Steve’s Barking; To 💉vac or not to 💉vac, that is the question

Whether it is nobler in the mind to Vaccinate or not to vaccinate.
New York City is one of the few places that demands its workers to vaccinate or stay home without pay 💰
Now I’m retired and I’m vaccinated 💉so it makes no difference to me.
Now I fight for the right of businesses to demand that it’s employees be vaccinated and that government interference is communistic. That being written I can’t help but wonder if Mayor the De Blasio is right in demanding that all city workers be vaccinated 💉when there is a labor shortage in all departments of city government.
I understand that it’s one ☝️ of the mayors job to keep the city health, and being vaccinated💉lessons the chance of catching Covid 19 and it even lessons the chances of dying but by how much. Think 🤔 of all those Yankees who couldn’t play a significant amount of games because they had Covid even after being vaccinated. And what about General Powell who died from Covid even though he was vaccinated.
Now I may believe in being vaccinated💉but I know of several people with much higher IQ then I have, who don’t want to be vaccinated 💉and actually believe that it might be harmful to them.
Getting back to my original thought how wise is it to insist that all city workers be vaccinated?

*** The vaccinations question is just as a divisive in the United States 🇺🇸 as The Donald. One ☝️ would be surprised 😮 as to how many Democrats don’t want to be vaccinated 💉!

*** Is the New York City mayor a mirror image of Tex governor Abbot, only instead of calling him a communist we’ll call 📞 him a fascist dictator.

Steve’s Barking; The death ☠️ of American conservatism

In the beginning of the United States 🇺🇸 the original conservatives believed in a strong centralized government ( Hamilton and Adams, Washington among them). If you were to ask the modern Americans who call 📞 call themselves conservatives they wouldn’t agree. Those original conservatives believed in a very heavy tax code( Real estate and liquor 🥃 taxes the chief taxes).
The late ⏰ 19th century Americans who 📞 themselves conservatives would be appalled 🤯 of the interference of business by those who call 📞 themselves conservatives.
In the beginning of the 20th century the conservative movement was anti large military 🪖though the original American 🇺🇸 conservatives were just the opposite. The newer conservatives are for a large and stronger 🦾military 🪖.
Those who call 📞 themselves conservatives today have a problem with collecting taxes. It’s as almost 😅 they don’t want taxes to be collected as they refuse to adequately fund the IRS. And they call 📞 that being a conservative🤔🤷.
They tell businesses how to run their businesses ( as if their businesses were part of government ( think 🤔 Twitter, Facebook and Google) must carry their nonsense 😝)
Those who call 📞 themselves conservatives are telling  businesses that they can’t insist on vaccinations 💉of employees and can’t insist on masks 😷. Texas  conservatives are even acting like the old communist GDP in encouraging citizens to rat 🐀 on each other in their abortion law.
In my humble opinion this this is further proof that conservatism is dying if not dead ☠️ in America.

*** Barry Goldwater whom some called the father of modern conservatism believed in abortion rights, integration ( though not federal government mandate) and women’s right.

*** Richard Nixon opened the door to 🇨🇳, Affirmative action, permanent cola for Social Security.

Steve’s Barking; Americans are leaving their jobs in record number or not?

I keep hearing and reading that Americans are leaving their jobs.
Well I hope that they have a better job lined up, hell if I had a great job and a better employer or much higher salary I’d give my two weeks notice and leave too. Unfortunately that not what the headlines are screaming, no the headlines are screaming that employees are feed up and their not going to hang around.
Now there is no indication how these employees are going to pay their rent. Buy their food. Go out and have a grand old time without income coming in. Perhaps these employees saved up big time during the pandemic and don’t have to work for a while. Perhaps these people who just got up and quite decided that living in the street and pan handling was the life for them.
Now I’m writing this gobble gook because it makes no sense to me, there is no unemployment insurance, no welfare state giving money to people who just got up and left their jobs. Why are people leaving their jobs unless they are ready to retire and yes they can, and are exhausted and just said time to retire by, by to work.

* Maybe I’m missing something but why are Americans really retiring?

Steve’s Barking; Can anybody understand this inflated economy 🤷

We’re in an inflationary period in America and in Europe. Of cause the prestigious(?) know it all’s from the prestigious university are saying the Federal Reserve tighten monetary policy even though this inflationary period is supply side inflation. This (meaning me) know it all says that if you really want runaway inflation tighten the money supply. Too many (perhaps up to one quarter) of business are able to stay in business due to the fact of cheap money. Now as I do recall from economics 101 too few businesses mean too few products to be sold, inflation would then go up.

Now I do recall stagflation, and if I am right about tightening the money supply the stagflation of old would look like a mole hill compared to the mountain of problems that would happen including a deep recession with a staggering inflation. Can anybody say Argentina, perhaps Brazil.

Steve’s Barking; Why The discrepancy in the jobs report for September?🤔

The department of labor jobs report for September shows 194,000 new jobs. Now if I’m not mistaken they get their information from a telephone ☎️ survey of employers.
ADP reports that was September new jobs in the civilian workforce was 568,000. Now if I’m not mistaken they also get their information from a telephone survey of employers.
Now if they both get their inform from telephone ☎️ surveys why the huge discrepancy?
Now as far as I can tell none, zero, zilch news reporting (  conservative, liberal, honest and dishonest) questioned this mountainous discrepancy!

 * Can jobs reports be trusted?
** Are Trump appointments fudging the job reports from the department of labor?
*** Wouldn’t the IRS collecting of payroll taxes be a better indicator ( I know wouldn’t do for our instant gratification).

🤷 Why is ADP report 3X as many jobs as the department of labor. That’s an extremely troublesome figure.

Steve’s Barking; Let Mexico 🇲🇽 and Mexicans help

Cargo ships 🚢 are out in the ocean 🌊 waiting to drop off their cargo in California ports because their are enough(pick your reason) drivers to to take the cargo on trucks, not enough trucks, not enough dock workers to unload the cargo. Now the 6 trillion dollar 💵 question is are their enough truck, truckers , dock worker and space at ports south and north of the border to alleviate the bottlenecks that have brought about bending my inflation in clothing, furniture 🪑 and the most essential item for the Christmas season, 🧸 toys. Even giving foreign workers temporary visas to drive the goods to market.

(1) I don’t know 🤷 if Mexico and Canada 🇨🇦 have the workers and the ports to alleviate the bottle necks at US ports.
(2) If they have the ability  does 🇺🇸 have the smarts To ask our neighbors for help and to pay these foreign workers (truck drivers)if they come to the United States.

Steve’s Barking A vaccine question

In America we have a major problem, we need workers in almost every industry, including government and healthcare. This at the same time we have an over 5% unemployment rate. Now governments in the blue states are telling their workers they will be disciplined by being let go unless they are this is while we have a shortage of these skilled workers. This seems to be true of health care workers in hospitals, good by nurses, good by technicians, good by doctors(?). This seems to be a dilemma that is hard to figure what should be done.

*Some vaccinated workers refused to work with unvaccinated co-workers.

** Are some state and local governments being too strict and are cutting off their noises to spite their faces?

Steve’s Barking; Too jail or not jail.

New York City’s Rikers Island jail is rotten stink hole. If you don’t believe me just ask the publicity seeking politicians. Many a politician went to the jail the other day and demanded that the jail to be closed. Do they believed that he jail should be closed or was it just grandstanding I do not know. They didn’t say were the inmates (most of whom are waiting trial should go. Perhaps they should be let out onto the streets of New York hoping that they don’t commit crimes that they were originally arrested  and hoping those who are a waiting trial show up for them. Perhaps New York State can open it prison that were recently shut, hiring  the guards that were recently fired. You can shuttle the inmates to the city for their trials, those most who visited the jail would cry bloody murder.
Now one might ask how did this jail get into this disrepair? It didn’t after all happen over night. I ask the question to myself , why wasn’t an other prison built on Rikers, were prisoners could be shuttled to and the other seven prisons on the island  slowly be rebuilt to be more humane. Why aren’t there enough guards in the prisons or is the city being too cheap and perhaps it’s the mayor’s fault taking money for the current prison system and putting it into his pet project prison ( I don’t know what the allocation for the prison system is , the comptrollers should). I do know as a layman  that not enough is being spent n the current prison system. The grandstanding politicians are a day late and a dollar short.

Steve’s Barkin; Taxes, let’s make a deal

Let’s tax the rich! After all they have all the money.
Let’s tax the poor! After all they get most of the benefits.
The first sentence to the people who suggest it , want to tax stock assets because it right now is going through the roof. The thinking goes that as these assets (stocks) make the rich owners the owners of almost 99% of all the wealth in this country. The problem with this thinking is the value stocks ( and even real estate) can decrease just as fast. That is one reason we can not tax certain assets that appreciate as if the appreciation is income. Appreciation is also a slippery slope, what happens if the government needs more revenue and taxes the appreciation of a persons home, like local governments some time do( they call it a real estate assessment tax).
Now if you think that no one in their right mind would tax the poor, think again. One of the plans to correct Social Security crises is to add 2 % on to fica which is Social Security and Medicare tax. Now there is no getting away from paying this tax so if your poor working stiff you currently lose 8 %3/4 of your pay to then lose another 2% is totally wrong. Whether it’s to sure up Social Security or to boost Social Security income of the poorest recipient is wrong.
Now I’m not sure if it’s not done now( I’m not up to date on the tax code) but stock options should be be taxed at what the price buyer agrees to pay if he or she picks up the option and what the price is when the option is picked up. If you were to win a prize on the television show let’s make a deal you have pay the retail price of the item as if it were income. Well if it’s good for the poor contestant it should be good enough for the winners of stock options.

Steve’s Barking; The most dangerous person for the Democrats ☠️

Who is the person who is the most dangerous person for the Democratic Party?☠️

This is a picture of me. No I’m not the most dangerous person facing the Democratic Party! But I do represent a danger to the party. I represent the regular party person who votes for the Democrats in every election, get the signatures for the candidates and contributes to the Party! I’m also the guy who is becoming very disillusioned with the Party! If there multiple people (millions let’s say) and we vote by staying home and ignoring the party that represents a grave ⚠️ to the Democratic Party in national elections, especially when they need all the votes they can get.

Steve’s Barking; Slow Down, We move to fast ( Computer, Ransom Ware, cyber attack)

Every day now I read in the news of a new cyber attack including ransom ware. We keep looking for solutions when a solution may be right in front of our noses.
(1) There is no reason that everybody and their brother should have access to a business computer. Doesn’t anybody hear of the ethernet?
(2) What ever happened to the warning when their is a change in the program, even upgrades a question would be asked are you sure you want to make this change?
(3)  Why not have override programs that could keep the computer functioning despite the malware.

This problem is that we want ease to use and the faster the better in our computing safety is secondary!
I’m at fault too, I want ease and speed even though I understand the risk!

Steve’s Barking; The Commie State of Texas

I am flabbergasted that these United States actually has a state in the union that is on par with communist China. No I take that back it’s worse then Communist China. First they start telling private companies how to run their businesses ( can’t demand vaccinations and masks). That’s even worse then Communist China.
Now they past a law were you can rat on your neighbor ( for having an abortion) just like the old Soviet Union would do. Then they restrict voting as trying to assure that a certain party is assured victory, sounds a lot like Cuba, Venezuela to me especially when  they issue arrest orders for members of opposition for leaving town. Sounds like Venezuela to me. Texas in its current state makes my heart sadden, it’s turned from a state that it’s citizens had great deal of freedom to a state that behaves like a Commie State.

Steve’s Barking; Will the Bronx,( Queens, Brooklyn, Manhattan Richmond) be burning

Holy Mother Of God the New York State legislature is debating to have a rent moratorium till January, this is at the same we’re the state has over 2 billion dollars to pay the rent for those who can’t because of Covid 19 job loss. Now my way of thinking is that if a person doesn’t have an incentive to request rent relief through the state why should they do it?  Now let’s take the landlords can they afford the upkeep of their houses if they don’t get any rent money. Can they make more money if they can get an arsonist do do their jobs on their buildings to collect the insurance on the building. If they can’t get an arsonist they will just walk away from the property.
The question is how long can the landlords hold on because of non payment of rent till New York City is on fire?

* Will the housing stock become depleted?
* How much money will New York City lose in taxes?
** How many apartments ( or rented houses) haven’t had their rent paid? ( The amount of non payment of rent is a mystery to me).
** How many tenants could of paid their rent but took advantage of non eviction part in of the rent moratorium?
*** Could the rent moratorium be a contributing factor in why there are so many jobs being unfulfilled?

Steve’s Barking; Tribal warfare in the Untied States

There are two main tribes in the United States.
 (1) The self centered know it all’s.
 (2) The know nothing anarchist.
Now this shouldn’t be any problem for the nation until one looks at the destruction of the great African nations, easily conquered by the Europeans and the Arabs.
The same is true of the conquests of the great nations that were easily conquered by out numbered Europeans with slightly better weapons, but no knowledge of the terrain, but a jealous tribal system made for members helping these newcomers.
Now one might not think of the present United States as being in the same predicament as these tribal nations of old, but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Jealousy and anger can make traitors of us all. America is in a very precarious situation. To paraphrase President Abe Lincoln the greatest threat to nation is from within.

Steve’s Barking;Get off my lawn 😡 🚷

I’ve become one of those grouchy old cotes along with too many of my peers ( those of us who are old enough to collect Social Security) Bitch, Bitch, Bitch about people looking at their 📱 in a restaurant as if it’s any of our business. Complain about the slow service on the checkout line while we’re just lucky to have someone who can check us out. Complaining about children who make a scene in public, as if our kids were  😇. Oh of cause we were 😇 or we would get a whipping. Oh college now a days, they give anyone a 📜  not like in the old days were they if you were poor you had to really work hard 😓 to get that Bachelor (If you had 💵 you could buy it). Why are those millennials refusing to get a 💉back in my day when you were drafted you got shots for everything that there was a vaccine for. ( What’s with the arm forces nowadays, how come not everyone is vaccinated against Covid 19). We complain about how complicated it’s become to make a ☎️ call to a business and have go through a whole process for automated service that so confusing you want to throw the ☎️ at the wall, and then the system tells you if you want to 🗣 to human to press 666 and wait for eternity that seems to never come. Oh and that thing they call music 🎶, it just so dirty, not like the rock and roll 🎸 of my day which my pops used to call nothing but noise, and some of those lyrics, oh my goodness, how could they let that on the air he would tell me.

😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝🤨

Steve’s Barking; Afghanistan win, lose or draw

The United States pulled out of Afghanistan. Was it a loss, was it a win , or was it a draw.
If the US or it’s allies is not attacked and it’s not a safe haven from terrorist it’s a win.
If we are attacked by Al-Qaeda types and it’s a safe haven for terrorist it a major loss.
It can be seen as a draw if the Taliban stays in control of the country and there are no terrorist attacks from Afghanistan.

It’s a loss to women, it’s a loss to democracy, it’s a loss to American prestige, but those things are not why we went to Afghanistan. The reason was to wipe out Al-Qaeda and make America a safer place.
How the US conducted the “war” is an object lesson on what not to do. We should have been more aggressive with men living in the field. We should have been more aggressive in training especially with those who would have great losses ( women) that they would fight like tigers for their way of life and life it’s self depended on it.

* We don’t know if it was a win, loss or draw and we will not know for quite some time.

Steve’s Barking; Musing about Delta Variant

Knowing no true facts about Covid 19 Variant Delta that can be pinned down. The experts say it’s more contagious then previous known Covid 19(?).What does that mean. People who are vaccinated are getting this variant, does that mean the vaccine doesn’t work? Are we in trouble for all that was found out about the original Covid 19 that it doesn’t spread very well in the open air is out the window and we need to cover up even outdoors? Is it possible the Covid 19 delta variance sticks to the mucus a persons nose it doesn’t really affect him making the test actually false positive therefore making a test will you put a swab the persons nose ineffective to really telling if a person really has Covid 19. Are we premature to let people go to sporting events indoors same goes for concerts and possibly restaurants non masked. Have we let the beast out with resistance to go back to being masked and quarantines and even stuck in ones house. Is it possible that the Delta Variant can mutate into a benign virus that actually helps end the epidemic? I really don’t know any of the answers except that teams like the Yankees keep having players test positive even with the vaccinations. That’s why I started to muse.

Steve’s Barking; America’s sons and daughters of Stalin

I’m laying claim to calling those drones who keep calling the election rigged the sons and daughters of Stalin. One of the Tea Party tenants in 2014 was that the American elections are rigged. When the Donald ran in 2016 he echoed this sentiment, but he won. Come 2020 a large number of Trumps followers claim the election was rigged and that Trump really won. Now the Stalinist would say a lie over and over again until the became the truth to his followers, sound familiar!

Steve’s Barking; Please don’t call an infrastructure bill a jobs bill !

The United States at the present time doesn’t need more new  jobs, it can’t fill the jobs that our out there. The United State needs a massive rehabilitation of its highways, bridges and electrical grid along with doubling and tripling its capacity to produce electricity. This is just so that we can complete in the world economy. Hopefully I’m wrong but a trillion dollars doesn’t seem nearly enough. We need waste water treatment capacity. We need pipes  to bring clean drinking water to ever part of this nation, along with irrigation for our farmers so the’ll be food for all. We also need a system to moisten the land that is prone to fires. These additional cost are mind blowing so I doubt that very much that the needs of the country I’ll be nearly met. Nooooo we don’t really need the jobs that would be created ( we will have import workers to get these needs done quickly) we do need an overhaul of our infrastructure.

* I didn’t mention catch basins and drainage systems for floods that will come( More Cost).
I doubt that we have the guts to spend the money to keep America competitive!
No we don’t need that many jobs, we need a much stronger infrastructure period.

** Another rambling piece.

Steve’s Barking; Why are the RINOs anti capitalist?.

Ok wtf is a RINO? Republicans in name only. Or the new Republican Party if that rocks your boat.
Now why do I call the new Republican Party anti capitalist ( I could just say their anti business.
Well let’s just say two of the most prominent Governors Ron Santis and Greg Abbot are telling the businesses in their state that they can’t demand that their employees and customers to wear. Now if that’s the businesses policy, that’s the businesses policy. I know that if I ran a business in Texas or in Florida I would want my customers and workers to wear mask to avoid liability in case of COVID 19  outbreak being traced my place of business and I didn’t do enough to prevent it. How can a so called friendly business state have a governor who tells the tourists shipping industry that they can’t demand that it’s Cruise ships have it’s passengers and crew be vaccinated against COVID 19 when if an outbreak of the disease should crush the industry.  When Democrats tell businesses what they can and can’t do they call them socialist. Maybe the new Republican Party likes the communist idea of telling company’s what to do  also.

* The New Republican Party is not my uncle’s Republican Party. The old Republican Party was sneakily taken over by the Anarchist Tea Party..

Steve’s Barking; He best thing that happened to the gun industry……

Trump lost, and I’ve been told that it’s hard to buy a gun and almost impossible to buy bullets. No it’s not that the Democrats are banning weapons it’s just that there’s so many people who believe that the Democrats will be in weapons if they went on a buying frenzy. Supply and demand market forces are taking shape. Many arms firms were on the verge of bankruptcy but it appears that is no longer the case.
If one was to buy stock in gun and ammunition companies it’s better to have. Democrat in the White House and Democrats running congress

Steve’s Barking; Hell 🔥froze ❄️ over! 🙀

Just read that hell 🔥froze over, it snowed⛄️ in Brazil.

* Just kidding. Brazil is not hell, but a very nice country on the Equator. It hasn’t snowed in this part of Brazil in living memory. Another sign of the end is coming.  🤔🙀

Steve’s Barking; Don’t pay rent, buy nice 🏠 home.

It has come to my attention that there are people who had a moratorium on paying rent because of COVID-19 and they saved that money and bought homes 🏠 in Southern States were the houses are cheaper. Just think if a person or family was paying $ 3,000 for a crummy apartment in NYC and you can buy a nice house in say South Carolina for $300,000 that money  $3,000 you didn’t give to the landlord would be a 10% down payment after 10 months. Well you can get a real nice house in Fla and Texas, for less then 300,000 dollars, and you can work Friday from your house 🏠. And just think some some apartments in NYC go for 4 to 5 thousand a month, a real nice down payment and think 🤔 of all the money 💵 saved on lower taxes, and even if a person doesn’t make  New York income you can still afford the house in the Southern States using the landlords money 💰 from NYC apartments.

Steve’s Barking; What ever happened to John Kenneth Galbraith?

John Kenneth Galbraith, he dead! John Maynard Keynes is also dead but we still bow down to his economics teaching. What about Milton Freeman, he also dead, but there are those out in the world who bow down to his economic philosophy. I might be wrong but I’ll guess that  Paul Samuelson’s text book on economics is still the standard textbook for lack of a better discrimination liberal economics. But nobody talks about John Kenneth Galbraith, the man who I used to read just about everything he wrote. He actually gave me a great understanding of modern economic theory.

Steve’s Barking; American leaders are really followers (?)

We in the United States elect people to lead us by making laws in the case of Senators and Representatives in the case of  the President  he would be our leader.
One would expect that they would do what’s best for the United States, but nooo, they do what ever they believe that their mob wants. Look at 45 his mob wants a wall, little or no taxes, no restrictions on business unless that business doesn’t do what the mob wants,
Now President 46 does exactly what his mob wants. Taxes on assets of the supper rich, free college education for all, no wall, like 45 no immigration unless his mob wants it.
Now let’s talk about our law makers, they look to the mob to make the laws, now I know they should know better. If the mob wants lax rules on law breakers that’s exactly what they will vote. If their mob wants strict laws on  weed that’s what the makers who want to serve those mob people will do.
Just think of all those homosexual representatives who voted against gay rights. Think of all those Democratic representatives who were for gun holders rights until they were put into a roll of representing the anti gun mob, how quickly they turned.

* I guess one can say that I’m cynical of American elected officials. I want my elected representatives and leaders to do what their brain tells them what’s best for their people. The good politicians will do what’s right even if the mob thinks it’s wrong, the great politicians will do what’s right and have the mob believe that what they wanted in the first place.

Steve’s Barking; Why are they called fiscal conservatives? 🤔

How can  politicians call themselves fiscal conservatives  when the jobs they have or aspire too don’t pay nearly as much as the money they spend to get that job? 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

These are the clowns that say how the government should or shouldn’t spend our money. And how much money the government should or shouldn’t borrow.🤡💰

Steve’s Barking; Did Trump do his job on 1/6/21?

There’s an indication that President 45 wants to be president again. And there are maybe 70 million plus Americans want him to be president again. Well one of the most important jobs of the president to protect the capital. Past Presidents have called out the military when there was a possibility of insurgent at the capital. Example President  Hover called out the military when veterans of WWI demanded their bonuses. Now if I’not mistaken lives we’re lost.
Did the President Trump call out the militia when there was indication of trouble at the capital? The answer is of cause not. President Trump didn’t do his job, pure and simple. President Trump is just another welfare queen. Gets paid  from taxes to do a job and doesn’t do it. The 70 plus million still want him to be president, I guess they like people who are on the government dole and are do nothings.

Steve’s Barking; Is the United States economy about to explode 💣?

Is the American Economy ready to explode? Probably not right now., but if the Federal Reserve starts listening to those nervous Nellies who keep predicting high inflation and stops buying bonds because of those who wrongly say there is to much liquidity in the country. And that the Federal Reserve must increase interest rates to fight off systematic inflation.
Well the travel industry is hit by high oil and despite record prices for tickets for plane travel there aren’t enough planes taking off because there aren’t enough employees. The profits aren’t there. The same will be true fo cruise ships.
There’s drought in the farm belt, and California because of the heat is a disaster. The auto industry maybe making huge profits, but those who need cars to go to work need cheep money to afford those expensive (cheep)  used cars. There are plenty of small businesses that can’t find employees so they have to raise the pay, and prices go with it and hopefully for them their customers remain loyal.
What I haven’t mentioned yet is the lack of 21st century infrastructure which is needed to for businesses to compete. Those building the infrastructure needs to borrow, the cheaper the better.
What I’m trying to get at, is a good many of our businesses need cheep money to survive and thrive. As I’ve have said before cutting off money is more dangerous toward inflation then have slightly too much money.

* There is an indication that the stock market has risen because of the high liquidity. Is that a bad thing?

Steve’s Barking; Assault on America’s free market system 🥷🏻

Congress is attacking the Social media giants. Break them up they are saying. They are too big and to 💪.Ya there are smaller social media companies but there not Facebook, Google( The search engine that’s a social media company) Twitter ( hold on I just named 3 companies, 3 giant companies that are in competition with each other) 🤔 Social media companies that have successfully competitors, don’t seem very monopolistic to me.
Now the ex president of of the United States 🇺🇸 is suing these companies for not carrying what he has to ramble about. ( This is the same 🤡 who is this big capitalist, America 1st who is afraid of foreign competition 🤡)  It’s no wonder that he’s complaining like a 👶. Can’t take the truth that these companies are in no obligation to carry what ever he had to say. They are private enterprises not government entities. They are free market capitalist companies whose main purpose is to make 💵.
Today the social media company , tomorrow the local supermarket for not carrying the brand of food that some loud people like will be under attack.

Steve’s Barking ; The end is near?🙀

I’ve just been informed that this week there has been massive flooding in Moscow.
 Beijing had massive hail stones
Germany and the Netherlands had massive flooding
These are stories that the U.S. press neglected to say or write about.
They only want us to know about the terrible heat in our Northwest and Canada Northwest.
Are they afraid to give us too much apoplectic news, that we will not be able to take it, especially after the once in a century plague! So every one stay under the covers and maybe the apocalypse will disappear..

Ya think that all the natural calamities we would all come together.😜 No such luck.

Steve’s Barking; Why it’s imperative that we fix social Security NOW!!!

Social Security is going in trouble as to not paying it’s full benefits in the near future! That near future might be as soon as before the end of this decade ! If the CPI is 5% or more this year and not all workers can me back to work there is big trouble!  Now this year the Social Security trust will be needed to pay Social Security benefits … Now think about it the trust fund has in it over 2.2 trillion dollars or about what the President wants to pay for America’s infrastructure. Now common sense says that what ever we need to borrow and tax twice that amount, once to pay for the infrastructure the other to pay off the debt of the Social Security trust fund…. Fortunately there is away out of this end the cap on the the Social Security Part of FICA. Do not have a donut hole, which would leave too much money not going into the Social Security account…..

*** 6.2 % is what is tax with the cap of 143000 dollars ( payroll tax or a workers tax) x 2 what the employer pays = 12.4%
There have been suggestions that no tax on income between 143,000 dollars and 400,000 dollars not be taxed. That’s 257,000 dollars not taxed at 12.4% = $31,868. Now let’s say that this a couple that’s $63,736. That being said is a lot of money not going into the Social Security trust fund.
** If enough money goes into the Social Security trust fund the borrowing on the open market will be less for essentials such as infrastructure.
*Do not increase the percentage payroll tax to pay for an increase in Social Security, it hurts the working poor the hardest.
(#) If I had my way I would lessen the burden on the self employed, instead of having them pay 12.4%I would have them 10% or less. ( even though I’ve been told that it’s deducted at the other taxes that one pays, I’m not sure).

Steve’s Barking; The new go too philosopher Geniuses.

Though out history the people have quoted those who they believed to be the wisemen of their day. Well if you read newspaper or listen to mainstream media (Fox News) they quote, John Oliver, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher, and  Jon Steward among others. Comedians all. So one can summarize that the new philosopher geniuses are comics.

Steve’s Barking; Get ready for food inflation!

Prediction…. there will be a major inflation in the price of vegetables this winter due to the drought in the western part of the country. The Southern Hemisphere is also suffering through droughts. Now we all love our vegetables and fruits making for higher prices. Supply and demand pressures. Prediction….there will be people who call themselves economists who will claim it all the Federal Reserves fault for printing too much money.

Steve’s Barking; Stop the panic NYC about jobs

I keep reading in some prestige papers and even a tabloid or two that NYC is in trouble because of job loss. Now hold on there. Yes as of the end of April NYC had a 11.5 unemployment rate. Of cause Broadway shows hadn’t  opened up. Actors, directors musician were on unemployment roles. Let’s not forget all the people who work the concessions. There slowly coming back with actors going to rehearsals.
What about the tourist industry, especially the foreign tourist, who probably won’t be here till 2022.
Several hotels have closed , but so far this year three new hotels have opened up in Manhattan and I’m sure many more are in the works. And what about the airports, they are opening up and I’m sure they will be hiring soon. The sports arenas are opening up to full capacity and the businesses around them will need workers. Now let’s talk about jobs that are coming to New York, you know like the Amazon warehouses in my borough and the other warehouses. The also need workers. So stop with the panic attacks, NYC will be fine. Even the financial business will not lose too many positions, those who leave will easily be replaced by people who are looking to make a quick buck just out of school.

Steve’s Barking; Cheap oil, how to get it.

Oh cr*p the price of oil is going through the roof and beyond It’s now over $70 a barrel and to think 🤔 just recently it was in the 💸negative 📉💸.  Of cause there are some who actually believed that because we stopped the keystone pipeline the price of oil went up. After all it couldn’t be That all of a sudden their is need for oil because of pent up  demand from cars,  factories and other fossil fuel ⛽️ users 🛳 ✈️. Of cause if the good 👍🏾 old US ofA gave ( lend, or grants,) to the oil companies that went out of business or are strapped for cash 💰 to open up those oil wells and in three months the world would be awash with oil that the price of oil would be 1/2 of what it is today🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗. Thank you Federal Reserve 👍🏾.
🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡

Steve’s Barking; Job growth is a bad thing?

I say that job growth may be a very bad thing. That’s because I’m out of my cotton picking mind ( At least if you listen to the experts). Every city, state and county wants more jobs in their place so how can job growth be a bad thing? We’ll let’s put it this way, most if not all do not have the workers to do the jobs. Therefore they will have to depend on the migration of workers from other places. Well that won’t be foreigners because our immigration policies put a kibosh to that. If you don’t have enough workers who are going to do the lower paying jobs. Oh my goodness were going to have wage inflation! Especially if most parts of the country have 3% or lower unemployment. Now think, new arrivals to your state city or county means transportation problems, new schools, new sewers( unless this has already been planned for). How is the localities going to pay for the new jobs? Are they going to pay for themselves?

*Now you would think my hometown (NYC) should be fighting for new ( and new old industries) but the problem with that is the old industries that will come back ( foreign tourism, theater and movie production) will all come back with a vengeance. Let’s not forget the Amazon warehouse and others that are going up in the Bronx that will employ many workers That almost 6% unemployment if there is not to much migration will be a thing of the past. New York just like the rest of the country may be at the saturation point of employment for the population that lives in the area.

Steve’s Barking; Statistics can be dangerous

In modern times ( the 21st century and late 20th) statistics have become an easy way to explain complicated issues. Just look at baseball, and the great statistic of war( wins against replacements)Now I’m trying to figure out exactly how one gets those figures. There are so many variables in baseball that it makes that statistic almost laughable.
Now let’s look at real life. The United States government is giving debt relief to black farmers stating that  it was almost impossible for them to get loans and when they did get loans and the government pass them by for debt relief only 3 % black farmers got the relief. Those statistics are true. It’s also true that 60% of the money went to industrial agriculture. It’s also true that only 39% of American farmers got any kind of debt relief.  No wonder that white farmers are mad as hell.
In NYC African American and Latino died of COVID-19 at a far greater number then Euro Americans. Statistic show it. What these statistics do not show is why. Was it the hospitals that they went to? Was it the fact that they have greater health problems? Perhaps it just the luck of the draw.
 * The purpose of my rambling is to show that without the full numbers and the variables statistics can be bad and even have an adverse effect ( especially for the Democratic Party).

Steve’s Barking; Why are they picking on lower middle class retirees

I’m upset 😭. There is an attack on the supper rich and how much their.net worth went up during the pandemic and by golly they didn’t pay taxes on their net worth going up. Of cause the report didn’t say oh crap in the beginning of the the pandemic their wealth went down. The reason I’m saying this that their wealth went down is the point that wealth based on asset is subjective to the whims of others. This now brings me to why the lower middle income ( middle class) retires are the ones who will get hurt the most if  there is a tax on the increased value of assets known as stocks. Now I’m going to write ✍️ something that most people will have a hard time understanding. Stocks  are a Pyramid, those at the top 🔝 will have to sell a portion of their stocks in the company which we lower middle income retires count on to be funding our pensions, our 401 k, our IRA. Ya 🤔think. Now the Bezos, the Musks, Gates, Zuckerbergs, and Buffets can afford to lose a good portion of their net worth from their stock ownership of their companies but the pensions (even though those pensions that our worth much more then those billionaires net worth) because they have to pay 💰 cash money. Those of us who have IRA’s in the stock market or 401ks our value in  stocks 💰will lessen. So in conclusion the people who will really be 😞 our the lower middle class retirees.

Steve’s Barking; USA cyber attacks, look Inward!

In recent days companies in the US have come under cyber attacks. We have blamed cyber criminals in, Russia, China, maybe it was maybe it was state sponsored criminals in Iran, or North Korea. Well maybe not! My biggest fear isn’t overseas actors, but home grown private sector computer specials who firms were hired by the NSA. They’re smart and have access to the NSA supercomputer that can hack and cause mischief on most computer systems in the world. Now I not competent sure but if there are codes to get into the NSA computers a disgruntled  worker might steal the keys (codes) to the NSA super computers.
Maybe for money, but the bigger threat is the feeling of being slighted. So selling the keys to criminal and or foreign actors is not out of the question.
This is only a theory of mine.

Steve’s Barking; The new new American conservatism according to crazy( me)

It seems to me, this crazy observer of my country’s conservative movement that it keeps changing.
America’s original conservatives ( the Hamilton Federalist) were not anti tax people. They were also in favor of a large centralized government.
Now we come to the conservative movement of the 1930s. Anti military spending.
Then came the 50s all of a sudden there for states rights. They were also in favor of  free market laissez-faire capitalism. Large capital spending on the military.
Then along came Reaganism and the end of high taxes.
Then along came Tea Party conservatism and the end of of free market low price income tax high tariff ( ending free market internationalism), attack on the constitution of the United States. Attack on laissez -faire capitalism ( especially when it comes to high tech).
It appears from this crazy, that modern American conservatism has evolved  into a selfish form of anarchism.

Steve’s Barking; American economy save by COVID 19? ( wtf)

American (USA) in January to March of 2020 (as I recall) had an acute labor shortage. To go along with this labor shortage was the prospect that 1/4 to 1/3 of all businesses in America were under water. In other words that would have had a hard time paying their bills. This despite extremely low interest rates.  Now along comes this deadly disease COVID 19 and the Federal Reserves has an excuse to buy up paper there for letting congress help bale out many of the firms that surely would no longer been in existence come the beginning of this year. Of cause this bale out isn’t called a bale out but rather a stimulus. Without this a-hum stimulus putting money in consumers pockets ( It’s great to have money in your pocket we’re you don’t have expenses traveling to and from work, or buying lunch out).
It seems that a lot expenses stood still, government helping even with mortgages and rent paying. Now that the pandemic seems to to be slowing down and the consumer is poised to spend like a drunken sailor in the eyes of this crazy writer it appears that the pandemic may have helped the economy.(?)

* It appears that there still maybe a labor shortage. But at least the businesses didn’t go bankrupt.

Steve’s barking; United States Labor Shortage

Oh s*t there a labor shortage in the United States! Of Cause the reason there is a labor shortage in the United State is because the government is giving out too much money in the form of unemployment insurance.
Of cause there was a huge labor shortage in January 2020 when the government wasn’t giving out too much money to the unemployed, go figure.

Steve’s Barking; Israel, Palestine non peace

In my life time  and probably in next several generations there will be no peace in the land from Gaza to the West Bank. It takes at least 2 sides to make a peace deal. In the case of this land in the Middle East it takes more then 2 sides, it takes four sides to make peace. The majority of the three of the sides don’t want to live with Jews and their solution appears to be that the Jews commit suicide or at least leave the land.
There is a large minority of Jews who feel the same way about the Arabs.
There is a fallacy in some circles that by punishing Israel.  To make matters brief by denying weapons and ammunition the Israelis would have to fight harder and civilians be dammed.

 * There is no solution unless all sides need each other.
 * There is a crisis between, secular, Sunni, and Shia  Muslims  and there leadership.

Steve’s Barking; Texas and Fla are happy with population growth! Why!

Florida and Texas are happy with population growth especially people from the north east and California. The question is why? Me being in New York is very happy when people leave my city. I think that there are too many people here. We could lose maybe one or two million people even if some of those people are extremely rich. Too many people can make navigating the city uncomfortable. Too many people can stretch the resources of the city.
Now getting back to Florida and Texas, because there is no income tax in those two states the addition of new immigrants from other states doesn’t add to the tax coffers and stretches the resources of those two states. Plus the fact the the cost of homes goes up. So too does property taxes, but not enough to be offset the stress on the state budgets that the new comers impose.
It appears to this amateur economists that the increase of population from outsiders could be a detriment to these states rather then a blessing.

* Note the Governors of these two states want to reduce federal government spending. If one believes them then the federal help with their states budget would be negated.

Steve’s Barking; America’s greatest game shows!

America greatest game shows are happening now!
The game shows are happening on all the cable news channels!
The name of the game show(s) is called gotch ya!
I understand that each of these news station have opinionated jerks and each one of them tells what ya what another. opinionated jerk on the other stations screwed up and even lied about🙀. This has been going for years now. Unfortunately these cross over “games” are actually believed by by some of the multitude who watch these programs🤵🏻‍♂️👨🏿‍⚖️🤴🏽👨‍✈️🎅🏽🧙🏽‍♀️🧛‍♀️. Of cause these multitudes don’t care that the opinions by these 🪱 come from sources stuck in their a**es and come out by laxatives.

Steve’s Barking; Then along came India and Brazil

I was wrong. I had made the presumption that COVID-19 was mostly a cold weather disease.
After all there were  much fewer cases in the summer then the winter. Central Africa and Central Latin America seemed to have much fewer cases. India, Pakistan and Bangladesh also had much fewer cases.
Then something strange happened, Brazil and India got more cases than anyone could have imagined.
Now this could be because of humid and winless weather. Crowding of housing with little ventilation perhaps, or the most frightening scenario variation and the virus that travels and doesn’t lose strength even in the outdoors with high ventilation, vitamin D having little effect on preventing severe cases of this virus.

Steve’s Barking; Inflation on the way

It appears that inflation that in the good old US of A inflation is just around the corner.
There appears to be a shortage chickens, pigs and animals other farm products. Now I know not why.
Perhaps the Chinese are buying up our farm products, perhaps it’s because of COVID.
Now the news reports are stating that farmers are and will be doing well and making money again.
The price of everyday products and timber is expected to rise, in my view most likely because of the pandemic (lack of goods were workers have are scared to go to work leading to product shortages plus the extra cost of keeping their workers safe and pandemic supply chain disruption.
Now there are reports that a shortage of drivers will lead to a shortage of gas deliveries. Now two things will happen if that’s true , gas prices will  rise (supply and demand) to high level as there being a shortage. Now the second problem oil prices will fall or there will be a shut down of oil wells, for after all if the if deliveries are cut you will have to store the oil. ( There will possibly be inflated gas inflated gas prices and deflated oil prices) Now the Jambonies ( idiots) who have prestigious Degrees in economics From prestigious universities who blame it on the flooding of money from the federal reserve or the budget deficit.
God help us stay the course and the economy will straighten itself out.

Steve’s Barking; Damn the bureaucrats full speed ahead

The bureaucrats in the government seem to slow things down. They take menial stuff and make it seem important. They seem to hold back progress. So let’s get rid of the bureaucrats.
Hold on there a moment! With out those mindless people, Government would have a hard time running.
One of the reason we did so poorly in the U.S. during the  beginning of the pandemic was no one took the bureaucrats seriously, and the bureaucracy that would have distributed vaccine was almost nonexistent. Our tax collection is a joke and that leads to excess borrowing.
Of course the bureaucracy can get in the way of building bridges, and even hold back ways to cut carbon emissions.
Think about what you just read, seems  that the bureaucracy you can’t live with it and you can’t live without it.

Steve’s Barking; The falling of the US Dollar

(Winkish (not wonk) ). The US dollar is falling down like London Bridges. The reason the dollar is   falling and so is the interest rate on US bonds is because of a a Russian and Chinese plot. Here taking their money and investing it other currencies not the dollar, and taking their dollar investments out👍🏾 hoping that the cost $ of raw materials goes through the roof🏚.

Steve’s Barking; Russia going to war!

April 9th 2021. Russia must be in dire straits. Maybe it’s the dissident Navalny, or maybe it’s the economy that has so many people in Russia upset, but it appears that Russia needs a diversion, and  that diversion appears to be having a war with Ukraine. It now appears that Russia is taking a page out of Nazi Germany’s playbook and blame a weaker nation and have an easy victory.
Russia may have an easy victory but if it gets it’s nose bloody with too many deaths or injuries there is a good chance that the people may turn on the government.

Steve’s Barking; Word games

I’m too old for the latest word games! Political that is!
 What is
Woke= Something that’s politically historical correct according to comatose people.
Medicare for all= A fu system that we senior citizens have that charges you over and over again for medical services.( my translation what they mean is a single payer.
Defund the police= No more policing after all the mystical social worker can defuse any situation. ( translation there are some terrible police officers so let’s spend money on something else not necessarily on taking all the money from the police).
Goat= Greatest of all time ( I really had to translate this, in most of my life a goat besides being an animal was the athlete that screwed up big-time!
Antfa= They tell me that some sort of anti fascist organization, though the only place that they seem to be is in Portland Oregon.( And what’s wrong with being anti fascist, didn’t we fight a major war against them. Being anti fascist seems to be like being anti communist).
Am I the only one who is so confused by the new meanings of old words and expressions or is it just being an old f**t.

Steve’s Barking; The Anarchist are coming, the anarchist are coming, no they’re here

The Republican Party, or at least those who claim to be Republicans say that they are the party of conservatives, but unfortunately the Republican were taken over by people who say that America is Taxed Enough Already or as they abbreviate their name to the TEA Party. Now these I’m a selfish bastard parties aren’t conservatives, they are just the opposite, they are anarchist. Now as every school boy knows anarchist are just the opposite of conservatives, they don’t believe in government. They are self righteous, who will not do anything for the good of all that government decrees, for all government is bad( I agree that these anarchist are in charge of is bad). They complain about what they call the socialist will destroy America, but they are the true destroyers of the USA.

Steve’s Barking; Too little oil bad for oil producing countries?

What would happen if too little oil is taken out of the ground? Let’s start with the preposition that the price of oil will go up. Now as any good student of economics will tell you if the price of something goes up an alternative is looked for. Well the alternative is electric cars, solar panels for electric heating of homes. Sooo no matter how much oil you have in the ground the lesser it will be needed, so it may not be a good idea to under produce oil.

Steve’s Barking; The real American Taliban

Be real American Taliban aren’t Muslims, They could be atheists or Orthodox Christians. What they have in common with the Taliban from Afghanistan is that they hate the American government. Instead of using car bombs and suicide bombers they use semi-automatic guns.

Steve’s Barking; DC 51

There is a call for the District of Columbia to be the 51st state of the United States. After all there are 700,000 people living in the nations capitol and only 650,000 persons in Wyoming because we don’t count sheep. Now on the surface making Washington the 51st state would seem like a good idea. Equal representation after all is the democratic way. Hold on, I live in a state that has over 18 million people, Texas, Florida, and California have a whole lot more. We all have only two Senators each and of the two branches of congress, I have to say the senate unfortunately is more powerful.
Now most of those who are pushing for the DC to be the 51st state have a problem with the electoral college. After all the electoral college is unfair to the will of the people.  Certain states might have more weight in electing the president of the United States then other states. Now this is true in making laws, states with fewer people have as much larger say in the senate then states with larger populations. Why do those who complain about the unfairness of the electoral college want to strengthen another unfair(?) system?

Now I’m all for Washingtonians to have a voice in the federal government, but I think it might be fairer if they were citizens of Virginia or perhaps Maryland!

 * Perhaps we should get rid of the Senate 😁🤡🤡. That would equalize all states.

Steve’s Barking; The coming(non) hyper inflation

Oh I’ve heard it again, the printing of money is going to cause the worst inflation this country has ever seen. This is explained by some serious sounding person who (along with hundreds of thousands) predicted the housing bubble, recession of 2008. Of cause this person who is predicting this hyper inflation either works or is the boss of this really prestigious firm and sometimes he in the economics department of a real prestigious university.
Ok, let me repeat what I’ve written about so many times before, the money that the Federal Reserve is printing(?) is actually replacing money that the country has burned. Now if you happen to stumble on this blog and you don’t understand what I’m saying tough.
Now my understanding that most inflation is more of a supply and demand phenomenon and that includes the inflation of the Weimar Republic (Sorry the hyper inflation had little to do with the supper printing of money but the strict austerity forced on it by the victorious allies in World War I).
What no one seems to talk about is the pockets of high inflation in places like NYC and San Francisco, plus places that struck it rich in the oil boom areas of the country. No one says gee their are an awful lot of stock that are inflated.( In case you don’t understand I’m trying to explain that their are pockets of inflation that no one seems to put it in their mindset). (There are also places that are in deep recession in the farm belt).
Maybe on another day I’ll try to explain in logical terms on the Nixon, Reagan inflation stagflation.

Steve’s Barking; When progressive is really regressive!

Defund the police, so say it a group of persons who call themselves progressives. Now the true progressive would say add money for training to reduce injuries to the public. Add money to for psychologists as the suicide rate and depression has gone up among police officers.

In New York City they want to close Rikers Island prison system of seven prisons for four smaller jails. One of the reason the people who call themselves progressive is that it would be easier for relatives to visit the incarcerated as if a person from the Bronx is accused of a crime in Brooklyn or the other way around. In smaller prisons how do you protect inmates from each other? How do you segregate gang members? How do you protect staff and other prisoners from the mentally ill? One would think that having seven prisons that it’s possible to have one prison being repaired while 5 or 6 are in operation. No 4 separate prisons in 4 different Burroughs isn’t progressive it’s really regressive tied up in a pretty bow.

How can anyone but me argue about safety bike lane with barriers. The way I see it those barriers slow traffic down, spewing carbon monoxide into the air. The same people who call themselves progressive, most of them are all for reducing carbon in the air because of climate change. Am I wrong in thinking that barriers to protect bicyclist are regressive not progressive?

*Am I wrong in thinking what some call progressive thinking is really regressive?

Steve’s Barking; So ya think New York is a Democratic town?

I keep hearing from the mass media that NYC is a democratic town. So tell me why is it that the seven terms of New York City mayors 5 had Republican after their names? Perhaps if you have something that resonates with the voters NewYork City is more open minded then ya might think.

Steve’s Barking; He’s still in NYC?

What’s with Sean Hannity. The dude keeps harping about how terrible New York City is. So why is he still here. The pandemic shows that you can work from anywhere. Hell he can work in a studio from the great state of Florida or even the greater state of Texas, so Mr. Hannity why the hell are you still in NYC, after all you would keep more money in either of those two states, so why are you still here?

Steve’s Barking; To mask or not to mask

The CDC is the agency that during a health emergency we all should follow their guidance. Problem with their guidance during this current pandemic is the masking of to wear a mask or not to wear a mask.
First we’re told that we don’t need a mask. Then we’re told that we must wear a mask in case we have the COVID virus and that would help stop the spread. Then we’re told that wearing a mask is helpful in not getting the virus.and it’s 70 percent effective. Then we’re told that two mask are better then one, and it’s 90 percent effective.
There is a distrust factor of government and this mask or not to mask doesn’t make things easier!

Steve’s Barking;COVID 19 Money and Death

Well, it seems that there was a no win situation when it came to COVID 19.  If businesses were closed there would be no money in the state coffers. How ya going ta pay da bills. Opening up for business, well sickness and death will surely follow. The Governors had a dilemma, some chose ta  keep business open not caring what the  health consequences were.Others limited business, not caring what the money consequences were. There really wasn’t any correct choices were there? This can be said for world governments as well as state.

Steve’s Barking; Bitching about election being rigged in 2012

I having time on my hands went back and looked at a recruiting message from the Bronx Tea Party.
Part of the recruitment was that the voting machines were rigged. Now if one understands this was something calling the election being rigged was started long before this current election. It been in practice for many elections. Now we have millions of people who believe that the voting machines were rigged.
I guess practice makes perfect in the belief that voting machines are rigged or if you repeat a lie enough times people will believe you.

Steve’s Barking; Freedom of speech on social media is bad for the writer?

So you tweet very bad things about politicians and then you have to face those same politicians at your confirmation hearing. Do you really think you will be confirmed.

You riot in the streets and post it in Facebook do you really think you will not be arrested?

You post insensitive things on Twitter and Facebook, do you really think you wouldn’t be fired?

You call your boss an a hole on Twitter, do you really think you’ll have a job tomorrow?

You complain about the working conditions of your job, do you really think that HR is going to look the other way?

Be careful of what you post on social media, freedom of expression in reality is a government thing, not a real life thing!

Steve’s Barking; To be attorney general of New York you have to be involved in a sex Scandal

Is it a pre-requisite to be attorney general of New York State to be involved in a sex scandal.
Just think about it with Governor Andrew Cuomo is being charged with sexual harassment he is just a member of the last three attorney generals of that have emerged as having some sort of sex scandals attached to the them. First was Elliot Spitzer paying for prostitutes. Then we had Eric Schneiderman who beat up his girlfriends, and the attorney general between Spitzer and Schneiderman was Andrew Cuomo.

* Eliot Spitzer and Andrew Cuomo accusations of bad sexual behavior was after they became governor.

Steve’s Barking; Invasion of the political party snatchers

The Republican Party is not my uncle’s Republican Party. They have been taken over by the Tea Party.
Now the Tea Party doesn’t believe in government except government that benefits it’s members.
Now I heard from the head of the Tea Party of the Bronx before they took over the Republican Party.
He said that it’s impossible to win as a third party, but being part of an existing party by taking it over is something else. I now believe like the sci fi movie invasion of the body snatchers, the Republican Party is the invasion of the Political Party.
Now I’m starting to worry that the Democratic Party will be taken over by lunes who invade it and take it over like the Republican Party was taken over by the Tea Party.

Steve’s Barking; We with our blinders on!

We believe what we believe. Most of us don’t question what we believe. Why should we.
We do not want leave our comfort zone. We look ahead and why should we after all we have blinders on. We don’t want to understand others who have a different mind set that we have. This leading to a nation divide.
Horses that have blinders on so they would not be spooked, maybe that’s why most of us have blinders on, because we have afraid to be spooked!

Steve’s Barking; Decreased COVID 19 this Winter

COVID 29  cases have decreased this winter in the US.
I have this crazy theory. It’s been freezing and snowy in most of the country.
Now who the heck would want to go out in this weather.
If ya don’t see no one ya don’t catch the virus.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

Steve’s Barking; It must be the water

It seems that New York States governor 😤and President 45 😤screwed up when it came to Covid 19.
They both tried to hide the facts. They both had trouble with their experts. They both seem to be self centered. Now I know that the Ex President and the Governor are about 12 years apart, but they grew up pretty too to one another. And I’m pretty sure that they drank water from the Jamaica water company.
Now if memory serves me correctly ( and it might not) the water was contaminated and it went to their heads as it did mine. We’re all a little a little off in our thinking.🤨😜🤪

Steve’s Barking; The trouble with Texas is Californians

Texas is facing its biggest problems since Santa Anna, only this is worse. Most of the state recently was without electricity and running out of water. Everyone has a fall guy. My fall guy is those refugees from California bring their bad vibes with them.

Wednesday, February 17, 2021

Steve’s Barking; The answer is in the mirror

Why was COVID 19 so devastating?
Why was the cold blast in Texas so devastating to Texas’ electric grid?
It must be the government! It must be the greedy business people! You know the usual suspects!
Nooo, the truth is something we don’t want to believe. Look in the mirror, the truth be known, and the answer is all of us. We don’t want to pay for the extra beds, nurses and doctors in the case of the pandemic. After all we no use for them except when catastrophe hits. The good people of Texas don’t want to pay the extra money that it would need to store energy to produce electricity for its grid.
The government and businesses are only doing what the people want. This is not just true in the United States, but it a world wide phenomenon. We can plan trips to outer space, but we can’t plan on common sense like planning for obvious disasters in a common sense way.
We’ll blame everybody but the true culprit. Us!

Steve’s Barking; Why are there no Euro Americans

Why are there no Euro Americans?
 We have African Americans.
  We have Asian Americans.
  We even have Latino Americans.
  We have no Euro Americans.

We have Italian Americans, Irish Americans, Polish Americans, even Russian Americans, but I never heard of anybody being called a British American.
We have Mexican Americans, but I have never heard anybody being call an Argentina American or for that matter Peruvian American or Ecuadorian American.

Steve’s Barking; Don’t legislate by mob rule

In my Country the US of A we are being legislated what I call mob rule. Why do I say that. It’s very simple people take to the streets and what seems like a large number protest this in protest that and demand what one might say it is very foolish things. Defund the police! Criminal justice reform without knowing what it is! Bicycle lanes in New York City that makes the streets narrower, when were trying  to fight climate change and too much CO2 in the air. The majority of the citizens could care less one way or another about this. There is a mob that wants to keep people out of my country, the people who pick the fruit, and clean the toilets, so we’re keeping them out, by law and presidential decree. Some states didn’t demand the wearing of mask another mob rule non legislation. Again a non majority decision.

Steve’s Barking; A couple of old thoughts on Trump supporters

There is more then one virus going through the US. The other virus is Trumpism. Those infected by Trumpism can very easily turn into morons. They believe news that come from Chanel’s were the spokesperson literally reaches up and pulls the news out of the air.

The problem with America today is there are too many gullible as* h***s. They are called Trump supporters.

Steve’s Barking; Too little money is inflationary

I’m going against orthodox thinking. Too little money is inflationary. In this the age of a COVID-19 recession when businesses large and small face downsizing and going out of business, when those who have money will not be able to purchase what they want and need. That is of cause those businesses have enough money to stay in business and not go through bankruptcy and even say by, by. They will need money to survive. They will need money for production. So logic tells me that to avoid inflation just after the pandemic there has to be enough money to keep businesses going. Too little goods can cause inflation then in this case too much money!

Steve’s Barking; China on my mind

If you were to believe the past administration, the trade war that we started was  and is being won by the United States. Of cause that is and was nonsense. The GDP of China is almost better then before the pandemic. China has a much larger population then the US.It’s manufacturing is larger, what would happen if the Chinese government would make loans to its population in order for it people to buy Chinese goods?
What would happen if the Chinese government would make American manufactured goods more expensive with high tariffs therefore having a made in China buy in China policy ( like the US is promoting for itself)? And then buy cheep food from the United States as we do manufactured goods from the rest of the world?
What would happen to the American farmer if the Chinese found a cheaper places to buy their agricultural products?
